For sushi that’s delivered to your door, it’s pretty decent. There’s a lot to choose from on the menu which is great. So much more I need to try. But I do recommend it if you want some delivery in under an hour of some pretty good sushi, fresh edamame, and great broccoli beef. Fried rice is great too and they give you quite the helping so there’s lots left over the next day!

I’m usually pretty apprehensive about trying Chinese/Japanese restaurants, as my past experiences have always been not so fabulous. To my surprise, both the Chinese and Japanese food are delicious! We have ordered delivery from them a few times as well as dined in a few times, we I have yet to be disappointed. They also have a happy hour menu with $ 3 appetizers(including oysters!) and 50% all sushi rolls. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Natomas when I’m craving Asian cuisine.

I went here with my family around the time they first opened up and it was delicious! Had my first raw fish sushi roll«The Wonderful Roll», it was so good and I love that they have more than just sushi. We all enjoyed and I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

The food was great. At first, I thought it was kinda pricey, but we ate off of it for three days. So, that changed my opinion. Definitely, worth it. I gave 4 stars, because of their customer service. I wanted to use a coupon that I actually purchased on Unilocal. They tried to tell me that it was for dining in only. The host insisted that was their policy for the coupon. Had I not double-checked Unilocal’s term’s and conditions and show them – we would have been forced to eat there, which would have been an hassle, because we had a little one with us. I didn’t really like that, but I would visit again. The food tasted great and was well worth the $$. Thank You :)

It was my first time and ordered Togo on my way to work. I had the assorted sashimi, which was really delicious and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s hard to find good cuts of tuna and salmon, etc in Sacramento, since places have gotten stingy. The portion was substantial. The chef was very kind and he beautifully arranged the fish as well. The sashimi came with steamed rice, and the typical essential extras: soy sauce, fortune cookies, etc. I will be back! Best sushi/sashimi I’ve experienced in a long while amongst many other locations. :)

Really good food at great prices. The family meals are especially good. Love the orange chicken. And they serve both Chinese and Japanese food. Friendly staff.

Very busy tonight, I don’t mind the wait. Full house is always a good thing. Chow mein is a must, I haven’t tried everything yet. I didn’t really like there rolls the last time I ate it, but that’s just me.

This is a very good restaurant. If you want to have a good Chinese food and also crave for some Japanese food, then this is the place to come. The owners are from Hing King and they are friendly and attentive. This restaurant is located in a small plaza, next to a Thai restaurant and a Massage Parlor. They have a good selection of authentic Chinese food. I ordered their combo and for the price of $ 8.95 it’s a super great deal. It comes with fried rice, chow mein, a side dish and 2 egg rolls. The portion is very generous and it tastes great. The Orange Chicken came out tender and not dry at all. I will definitely come here again. Oh… be sure to order their Super Philly Roll. Its good.

Great sushi. Loved the rolls and the pricing is adequate. So so yummy. Sorry I forgot the names of the rolls but I was @ training for a week and visited this place about 3 times. Every roll was delicious! You can’t go wrong & the price per roll @ lunch is only $ 7!

The Beef chow fun noodles are delicious. The sweet and sour pork is good, not great. The vegetable chow mein is very tasty. The flavors in the ginger chicken were great. Ordered it spicy and it wasn’t very spicy. Still good. Didn’t care for the consistency of the chicken at all though. Had an odd rubbery quality to it. The tempura mix vegetables were pretty good except the broccoli chunck was too big so the batter was runny inside. If a smaller piece of broccoli was used it would have been fine. The rest of the veggies were good.

I like to hit up Lotus for their happy hour rolls. The place is spacious and I’ve always been able to find a comfy booth to sit in without a wait. I used my Groupon here multiple times without a problem. Typically I get a salmon handroll and the portion is large with good slices of fish. I also get the Super Philly Roll that has shrimp tempura inside for thar extra yummy crunch and is topped with salmon. Get in my belly! The servers are always on top of things. I only had one issue where they accidentally overcharged me by $ 3. By the time I noticed I had already ran my card. They gave me back $ 3 cash. No hassle at all.

It was a hot. a super super hot Sunday afternoon when I came in here. Thank God for the AC. I ordered a bunch of sushi dishes AND chinese dishes. Their eating area is huge with a lot of seating. The service is attentive and there’s a TV with NFL. There’s a place where you can eat in front of the sushi area. They have table and booth seats. So far their honey walnut prawns are very good. Usually the prawns are coated with a lot of breading but these are perfectly made. Their walnuts are light and not dark, burnt. The Mongolian beef, the beef is hella good!!! The spiciness level is just right(for me) not too bland and not too deathly spicy. I’m super full already but the beef is so good though!!! Sushi side, ordered a bunch of sashimi. tasted super fresh(but what do I know? My dad is the sashimi foodie, so he told me. He said the cut was not too thin or thick, just right. The fish tasted very delicious and not slimey at all) Ordered another sashimi dish, I think it’s a special fish called the mango tango, has mango, bell peppers, and sprouts to top it off. Oh yeah, has white tuna underneath it. Don’t even need soy sauce or wasabi! I actually had one and enjoyed it! I would recommend this place to people who enjoy chinese food. Oh yeah, the sushi chef is an actual sushi chef! Not like some places who pretends to be one! Another roll that was ordered was a shrimp tempura roll topped with white tuna and tobiko… of course I took out the top part for my dad and ate the sushi rolls, omg, so delicious!!! Mom got a special baked roll with salmon… they’re so accomodating.

Ordered delivery from here thru Eat24… Service was quick, took like 20 minutes even though the estimate wait time was an hour. I would have thought it take that long just to make it… The food, Pot stickers — no flavor, poorly put together, huge disappointment. Seafood soft noodles chow mien… again no flavor and the noodles were crispy on the edges… like when you put pasta I. The fridge and don’t cover it… large portion, but add something to season it. Honey walnut prawns… these were actually quite awesome… large portion, large shrimp. I’m still hung up on the timing though… it couldn’t have been made to order, it must have been sitting in steam trays and they just packaged and delivered… at that route Panda Express would have been a better option.

If it weren’t for Groupon I don’t know when we would have discovered this place! After checking out Unilocal and seeing Amy J.‘s review I decided to get the Groupon and give them a try. Lotus Fusion is such a hidden gem! We stopped in on a Friday night during lent. The Family Dinner Combos are a steal and were extremely tempting but since we couldn’t have meat we decided to order the Scrambled Egg with Shrimp($ 9.95), String Bean with Hot Garlic Sauce($ 7.50) and Yum Yum Roll(Soft Shell Crab, Cream Cheese, Cucumber, Avocado, Seared Tuna, Lemon, Tobiko $ 13.95). We both agreed everything was very tasty. The shrimp in the scrambled eggs were large and plump. The eggs had good flavor and we’re perfect over rice. Braised green beans is one of my favorite dishes so whenever I order this I have expectations. All were met. The green beans were fresh, crunchy, and reminded me of the authentic Chinese flavors I used to get in the Bay Area. Portions were really big and we’ll worth the price. After the Shrimp with Eggs and Green Beans we really didn’t need the roll(which was also huge). My husband thought the roll was just okay. The seared flavor just wasn’t there on the tuna. It is worth noting they have HH but its unclear what time it ends. I thought it ended at 6pm or 7pm but when we got there they said it ended already. So it could be 5pm or 6pm. I guess we, along with others were misinformed since many people came in asking about HH after us. Next time I’d like to try the oysters since those looked really good and the spicy Eggplant(they ran out). The place wasn’t too busy so service was good. It’s hard to find good, authentic Chinese flavors outside of South Sacramento so I’m glad we discovered Lotus Fusion. This one’s a Natomas favorite for sure.

Foods amazing and the service is casual and laid back. My faves from their menu are on the chinese food side: Salt and pepper pork Mapo tofu Beef chow fun Black bean chicken Pork fried rice And mushroom or chicken beef There are many more favorites and I can go on but those are what I recommend. I’ve only had the rocket roll and bacon roll. I am not a sushi expert but those were yummy. Addition: if you are into sports and want to catch the game and go out of the norm of american cuisine for the game, come grab some salt and pepper wings and a beverage here and maybe some rolls. Great place to do that without all the loud crowds.

After several visits, I’m thoroughly impressed with how this little South Natomas gem continues to exceed my expectations. It manages to deliver friendly service, great bang for your buck, and surprisingly tasty food. Usually I’m just a little skeptical of restaurants that try to serve both Chinese and Japanese food. But some real winners have been found on both sides of the menu. When the Chinese mood strikes, we’ll usually go family style with their Dinner A. It include an egg roll, foil-wrapped chicken, wonton soup, orange chicken, beef with mixed veggies, and a choice of fried rice or chow mein. All that for $ 10.50 a person! I’m a tough critic of wonton soup and I find their version to be quite good. The wontons have a very tasty filling and the broth is deeply flavored. They don’t overload it with a bunch of other crap either(a pet peeve). Just a little barbecue pork and a few strands of cabbage. They’ll allow you one substitution, so after trying the orange chicken once, we usually opt for chicken with mushrooms instead. The orange chicken was actually very good, bright with citrus and not too sweet. My tastes are just moving away from the breaded version of Chinese dishes these days. Plus, the mushroom chicken is delectable with a luscious sauce and loads of fungi. The other elements of the dinner also deliver in the flavor department. Foil-wrapped chicken is succulent, very worthy of a separate order so you can have more than one. The beef with vegetables is more exciting than it sounds. Tender beef and a nice variety of veggies(baby corn!) served up in a rich gravy. I like that each sauce has a unique flavor. Too many Chinese restaurants serve up sauces that are indistinguishable. On the Japanese side, I found a steal with the Lotus Special hand roll. Packed with fresh, delicious spicy tuna, tempura shrimp, and cucumber, all for only $ 4.95! My new edible love is seaweed salad and theirs was terrific. Lightly dressed, not too sweet, and super fresh. If you’ve never had it, this is a good version to try. A surprise on the menu were the oysters on the half shell. At four pieces for $ 5.95, it’s another great deal that did not disappoint. They’re not super fancy or overly large, but they are fresh, delicious, and served on ice. A few other random items that were well above average include Kung Pao chicken, salmon nigiri, and the BBQ pork chow mein. In fact, the only item I’ve been just mildly disappointed with were the potstickers. They were cooked and seasoned well, just a little doughy. I admire the hell out of the staff here for keeping a positive attitude and friendly demeanor in the face of a location that is less than desirable. There’s a liquor store in the shopping center that seems to be a magnet for the homeless and drug addicted that populate the area. I’ve never had any issues, but I feel bad for the people that have to work around it every day. A bit off topic, the Pizza Guys and Mezcal Taqueria that share space here are also fantastic and earn bonus points from me for sticking it out. It really compels me to give all of them as much business as I can afford. Update* They no longer allow any substitutions on family meals.:(

Personally, I’ve never had a bad experience at Lotus Fusion… ever. Seriously, Hubby nor I have ever had any of the issues brought forward by other reviewers, and we come here about once a month with our trusty Groupon/Living Social/Amazon Local/DealSaver deal. Can we count ourselves as lucky? Could be, but I truly think our good experiences are more the norm for Lotus Fusion than the not-so-good ones referenced. Just sayin’… On that note, since it’s been almost a year since I’ve reviewed Lotus Fusion, I thought I would update my review with our most current experience, which occurred last night, 9÷27÷14. Naturally, we had a deal, courtesy of Amazon Local, wherein I paid $ 15 towards $ 30. This, to me, is the best for the two of us, because between my one Chinese dish and Hubby’s two sushi rolls, that $ 30 covers our food… sweet! Anyway, I had the pork with green beans, which I have to say I liked more than the beef with green beans I’d had previously. Don’t know what it is, but I think it’s the sauce they use with the pork as opposed to the beef. Regardless, it was scrumptious and only $ 8.50 for a huge portion that I paired with some steamed rice. Yummy! Hubby tried two rolls. One he’d had before(the Wonderful roll) and a new one(the Bomb Bay roll). The Wonderful roll was wonderful: Cucumber wrap fresh salmon, tuna, albacore crab meat with house special sauce and tobiko, all for $ 10.95…Hubby likes that it’s wrapped in cucumber and has a light sauce, kinda almost making this roll like a rolled-up salad, if that makes sense. The Bomb Bay was an unmitigated success! It came out first, and he just inhaled that thing! It has Fried green onion, tempura shrimp, crab, avocado, seared tuna, scallop, tobiko with special sauce, and scallion, all for $ 10.95. He recommends giving that a try if you haven’t already :) Oooh, and though I didn’t notice until I was walking out, on their fancy, light-up specials board, they were offering both Bacon fried rice AND Bacon roll. Dang it, I wish I’d paid more attention to that board when I walked in! If they’re offering those Bacon options next time we having a hankering of the asian persuasion, I am sooo going for it! We like Lotus Fusion because it offers both Chinese, which usually want, and Japanese, which Hubby usually wants, in one place. Nice job, folks!

Updated review here: Since my last visit went so well, we decided to go for a Round #2. Purchased our Groupon and came by last night at 7:30 pm. Not crowded, but a few tables with couples. We got seated right away and took 15 mins for the Waitress to ask us about drinks. By that time, I knew what I wanted to order. We ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken w/fried rice and chow mien, Kung Pao chicken with white rice and chow mien, and a California roll with masago. About 20 mins later, our two plates came. It looked amazing at first; especially because I was starvin’ Marvin. Sadly, it was deceiving. The food was soaked in oil. All of it. The Kung Pao chicken had no Kung Pao… just zucchini, peanuts and an abnormal amount of celery. There was maybe 6 slices of chicken on top to make it look appealing, while the mound of food underneath was just celery. The Sweet Sour chicken you really can’t mess up. That was fine, although oily. Now, I understand this place has an AYCE sushi… I ordered a single Cali roll, and it took 45 mins after I ordered it, for me to receive it. That includes me asking about it twice, and the waitress even giving us the check and fortune cookie hinting to GTFO… Then she finally brings my roll as my mouth salivates, and doesn’t bring me chopsticks, so I asked. She continued to seat other people, clean a table, get someone else a drink, and then I went to finally get up and get my own damn chopsticks, and she eagerly got them before I made my way behind the sushi bar. Sadly to conclude, I don’t know if I will be returning here. I loved our first time, however this second time was very, utterly disappointing.
