Neat neighborhood store. As soon as you pull into a parking space, you see a sign in the window thanking you for your patronage. Big difference from the big stores who don’t appreciate their customers. They had a nice selection, and the clerk was pleasant. I am always willing to pay a bit more when my business is appreciated, and when I can get in and out quickly

As a liquor store overall, I’d give them four stars. But after the efforts I had to make to get a reimbursement for a beer tap I rented I’m docking three. I rented a beer tap for a party. The plus was that they were one of the few liquor stores that has beer taps for rent without a requirement to also get a keg. The guy behind the counter was nice enough and told me it was $ 6 plus a $ 50 deposit. I returned it the next day, as required, and was told by another gentleman that the deposit would be refunded immediately. Three days later it still was not and I drove ten minutes and came in again after no one answered the phone. The second gentleman told me he needed to talk to the first gentleman because something was wrong and he couldn’t figure it out. At this point, I’m upset. I didn’t hear back after this second trip even though I was told I would immediately. I went back in — again. Now the first gentleman was back and, after about a ten minute phone call with whoever runs his credit card machine, I got the money back. He apologized, but the damage was done. It’s fine if you don’t know what you’re doing in granting a refund, but the lack of follow up to any of my visits when they specifically told me they would call me was inexcusable. I’ll use them for buying odds and ends, sure, but not for renting anything ever again.

This liquor store ain’t bad, and it is conveniently located near Sutter Memorial Hospital. The attendant even watches the baby while I run in and get whatever I need, so I don’t have to be «that girl» that goes into the liquor store with her baby. I just reread this, and I want to clarify that I went in to get my hospitalized Dad some ginger ale and some werthers original candies. 1 six pack of ginger ale and two candy packs came out to over 9 $, and it was more than worth it for the convenience and for my Dad to calm down. He keeps saying Sutter is the worst hotel he ever stayed at. LOL Pretty soon I’ll be needing to check out their liquor section. Like, perhaps tomorrow-sans baby, of course.
