This place seemed to have gone down hill to me. About a year ago I would have given 5 stars. I noticed the decline once new employees emerged and old disappeared and phở bowls shrunk in size. Not sure if under new ownership, but sadly enough this will be the last visit. So now phở viet on auburn Blvd is the new place to go same price bigger bowls I suggest that place!

Just left bathroom to watch kitchen employee take care of his leak and leave bathroom without washing his hands. I’m sure they would like me to believe he washed them in the kitchen!!! NOTCOOL!

I’ve been coming here since I was in college and they were in their old location just down the road. I left them a 5 star review then and I owe it to them to leave another one today. My hubby calls me a phở snob. I’m not a phở snob, I just know what I like. We often come and I usually order a large number 12. I love the tripe, love the tendon and love all the meat they put in it. The broth is always perfectly balanced. Sweet, salty with spices just dancing on the tongue. I’ve been to places that have overly sweet broths or way too much star anise in it. Saigon Bay does it right. Once in a while, especially when I’m sick, I go with chicken phở. It’s always good and this is my hubby’s go to dish when we come here. He swears that they give him a lot of noodles in the chicken phở, but I just think he doesn’t eat his noodles fast enough. I’ve ordered an extra large before, but it’s mostly broth at that point. Once in a blue moon, I get the beef stew phở and it’s always tasty. Once in a while, I’m allowed an appetizer. My go to appetizer is the summer roll with BBQ pork. They’re huge and always delicious. I’ve had their fried calamari as well and they’re usually ok. Their lemon pepper wings are pretty good. Though they taste like they were dunked in bottled lemon juice, I still like them. Their spring rolls(fried egg rolls) are ok. Kinda dense and not something I order as an appetizer. When I feel like bun or a rice dish, I usually go with the pork chop with rice and everything on the side. I really do enjoy those dang pork chops, the shredded pork skin, the grilled shrimp, the egg roll and pickled cabbage. I might get the lemongrass chicken bun even. I’ve never been disappointed. So yes, I love the food here. I come here to dine in and take out all the time. The services has gotten a lot better over the years. They’re more attentive and refill our water without asking. They get a substantial tip from us everytime we come. And I also love this location because there is ample parking! Their old location had a tiny lot to park in and it was almost impossible to find spot on busy days. Now I want phở dang it!

Phở was good. Their portions are generous and offer different sizes. Thai tea with bobba didn’t make the list to order again.

Love this place and great weather for their phở. They have always been friendly and accommodating when theres an extra side added to our order or when substituting. Saves me from driving to the south for some good soup.

Rarely have I had 5 star service at Vietnamese restaurants. Not for lack of care, but maybe because the cultures differ? Phở Saigon Bay on Howe breaks the mold — exceedingly attentive, and sweet. I moseyed on in on a Thursday afternoon while waiting to get my iPhone fixed at the mall nearby. I initially shot for Great Wall, however, they have relocated. I settled for Phở Saigon, and how happy I am I went with this alternative. I ordered the rare steak phở with meatballs(large) at a whopping $ 7.95. I was in the mood for flat noodles and before I could even ask, the kindly gentlemen assisting me said it could be done. The broth was lovely, almost divine. I am currently coming down with stage 5 Black Plague and this broth pierced through my sickly sinuses and taste buds. Broth was perfectly hardy, wonderfully sweet and with a deepness that’d make ya mama saaang. I was in heaven. I lightly added some hot oil, and fish sauce for fear of altering the broth(I usually add a tremendous amount to get the broth to my liking). The size was perfect and they filled that bad boy to the brim! The restaurant itself is quite spacious and very clean. As soon as folks vacated their tables there was one of the staff right behind to clean the table in a blink. I appreciated it. The service was something I especially wanted to highlight. I had my primary server but there were several others that came over to ask how I liked the soup, how my service was and if I needed anything. WHAAAT? Have I died? Am I in phở heaven? Ha. The best of all this was at the end, one of the senior servers could tell I was coming down with something and suggested I get the number with ginger in it. I mean, really, can’t get much more attentive than that. Overall, wonderful experience. High marks all around. Thank you phở Saigon for turning my mediocre day right side up, filling my belly, and leaving me with a huge smile on my face. All is right with the world, now let’s see how I fare with the god awful mall urchins of Arden fair!

Service is quick and the phở isn’t too oily like in a lot of other phở places, though I wouldn’t try the boba if you’re used to the normal textures of boba. Peppers were fresh and hot.

This place is a favorite for my friends and I. The menu is enormous with so many different options. The Phở is always delicious. Some of my favorites Phở #18: I love the #18. It’s the only one without the unusual proteins such as tripe or fish eggs(I’m not ready to step out of my meat comfort zone yet). They have four bowl sizes I believe and the small is my go to. They bring you a ton of add ins such as mint and bean sprouts. Chicken Vermicelli: Last night I decided to try something different and tried the Lemon Chicken Vermicelli. It had a HUGE serving of lemon chicken, egg rolls and shrimp. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and moist. The egg rolls were super crunchy. The wrap was thicker than I’m used to but I loved it. The serving size was massive and was only $ 8.95. This place has huge portions and you absolutely get your money’s worth. Spring Rolls: Ugh, these are so freaking good. You get two for $ 4.95 and they are huge! They are soooo good and the peanut sauce is seriously life. I would get them more but their portions are so huge I usually don’t have room. *Only reason for 4 stars is the service is sub par. You only see your waiter when you order and when they bring your food. Otherwise they don’t exist.

It has been many months since I last dined here. Always remembered this to be one of the best Phở restaurant in the area. Something must gave changed between then and now. I ordered the Spicy Beef Rice Noodles. What they served was«spaghetti» in beef broth with meatballs and miscellaneous BEEF stuff but no «beef brisket»(as it should have had — I’ve ordered this numerous times so I know what to expect). The soup was «weak»(almost tasteless) and the«spicy» consisted of a thin layer of spice oil(see attached photo). Must have changed ownership. Too bad. I looked forward to having their once hardy flavorful soup and real Phở noodle(not thick spaghetti). I will return in a couple of months. Hopefully, this was just a «off day». I hope so.

Best Phở restaurant in the area! The tamarind chicken wings are a must try. The grilled pork with vermicelli noodles are our go-to item on the menu. They serve big portions but service is sometimes hit or miss.

The food is okay. They do give you huge portions. Their service is friendly and the food comes out at a decent time. It is a good spot to get some phở or other viet dishes if you are in the area.

This place is the bomb! Fast and very friendly service in a nice clean restaurant. I ordered the phở tai and it was excellent! The broth was hot and sweet, the meat was high quality and perfectly cooked and the noodles were cooked perfectly too. Huge portions as well… I couldn’t finish my bowl, which doesn’t happen often. Kudos to this place!

Originally, the four of us were intending to eat at the Mongolian Barbecue restaurant in the same strip mall, but circumstances led us us to Saigon Bay, instead! We’d gotten to the door of the other place when we saw the lady propping open the door, coughing. Apparently, they’d fried up a batch of especially hot peppers and and had created a capsaicin cloud of steam and smoke. We attempted to go inside, but there were no tables ready, and the pepper cloud made us cough and wheeze. We backed out. Inside, we could see the lady clearing a table. I tried, once more, to enter, but started to cough and choke again. Suddenly, I felt motivated to try out the phở restaurant in the same strip mall, instead. Fortunately for us, there was a table available. We ordered a couple of small bowls of rare beef brisket and beef tendon phở, a rice noodle bowl with medallions of pork and shrimp, and an order of chow main. The restaurant was fairly spacious and crowded at the same time. I noticed that lots of families seemed to be having a Sunday dinner out tonight. The menus photos all looked temptingly good! The food came relatively quickly, and it did not disappoint. The servings were generous and prices reasonable. The phở bowls came with a plate of fresh bean sprouts, basil greens, and jalapeño slices. The food was savory and delicious. The food was as good as others located on Stockton Blvd. Score! (Sometimes, you never know what might divert you from your intended destination. Best to go with the flow and see what culinary adventures await you.] Note: Like the phở places on Stockton Blvd, they do not bring the check to the individual tables. Instead, you have to go to the register where all the table checks are arranged. You just tell them which table you were at and they will ring you up.

We came in just before 9pm and they still gave us a table. There was a couple of people still eating. I ordered chow mein with shrimp and a Taro smoothie with boba, my bf ordered Phở(see photo). Pretty sure the lady along with the others were gossiping in Vietnamese. They seemed angry. Sorry we came in just before closing, they could’ve just not let us in. Anyway, we ordered and the food came fast. First thing I noticed was that the shrimp was way over cooked. As I continued to eat, I realized there were no more than 5 prices of shrimp. Bf liked his food. I loved the smoothie. Overall food was okay. As for service. It seemed like everyone working there was watching us. It was no surprise the waitress brought out the check in less than 10 minutes. We were almost done eating when a lady come to our table and said we have 5 minutes. I let my bf finish eating while I got up to pay. I accidentally left the check at the table and the lady angrily said«YOUFORGOTTHECHECK», walked to the table and back. Another lady came to our table and began cleaning it while my bf was still eating. She accidentally splashed water on him. He just got up and we walked out. Terrible service, okay food. I’m not sure if we’ll ever be back.
