If you’ve never been here but wanna experience Ruth’s come during their happy hour. The people who work here are super friendly and the prices in comparison to the quality of their food is worth the wait and visit here. You won’t regret coming here for happy hour… that’s for sure!

We came here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and they treated us like royalty. They set up rose petals on our table. The service was amazing! The food was great! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even gave us flowers at the end of our dinner. I’d definitely recommend this place for a romantic dinner. We will definitely be spending future anniversaries here.

So we came in at 3pm thinking happy hour starts But it starts at 4pm and that fine. We shop around and came back 3:55 and the lady up front said to wait for a few min before 4pm and so our party of 4 sat down and waited. Then few min later a caucasian lady came in and was able to seat at the bar. I dunno if it has to do with us being Asian lol! Anyways that was that. Our server was Alexander. He definitely made up for the first impression. He was super friendly and took our drinks right away. Then we ordered all the sizzler item on the happy hour. Everything was delicious. I will come back

Since I wasn’t in Los Angeles, i decided to celebrate my birthday here. The good: top notch service. They decorated my table with confetti. Enjoyed the drinks. We were promptly seated. Desert was on the house. The bleh: I’ve had the pleasure of dinning in numerous of outstanding restaurants. The steak was dry and pretty bland tasting. The sides weren’t memorable either. The décor can use some updating. However, I’m very appreciative of the customer service of this establishment, A+ for that. Food, not so much.

It was our 14th wedding anniversary and we decided to enjoy a night out at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. When we were seated we noticed rose petals on the table and we were congratulated for 14 years of marriage by Joe and Ernest. We were then tested to the best steak we had ever eaten. During the evening we were treated so nicely by all the staff which is extremely important to my wife and I. Joe and Ernest are top notch in my book and we can’t wait to come back again. Great job to the folks at Ruth’s Chris and thanks again for a wonderful anniversary.

Service was exceptional. Ordered the«tomahawk» 40oz steak. Good steak but would have been fine with a regular rib eye or t-bone. Would have given this place 5 star if the hostess didn’t look us up and down several times before seating us. We were dressed in decent attire to begin with considering this is more than casual place to eat but not fine dining.

FOOD — Complimentary bread and butter: the loaf was warm and the butter complemented the bread. 3.5÷5 — Ruth’s Classics Dinner – Starter: I chose the lobster bisque which wasn’t on the menu. The bisque had few pieces of lobster. It had a weird aftertaste after each spoonful. I couldn’t finish it. I didn’t care for it. 2.5÷5 – Entrée: I had the wild salmon with lobster butter. Of course I read that wrong and thought it was salmon and butter. lol. It was a fairly large piece of salmon topped with cherry tomatoes, over a bed of spinach and butter. It was slightly undercooked and it lacked flavor. The butter didn’t taste lobster-y. 3⁄5 – Side: I chose the creamed spinach. Plentiful. It was definitely large enough to share. It, too, lacked flavor. 2.5÷5 – Dessert: Chocolate Espresso Torte. The chocolate was rich and tasty. I was super full but I still managed to finish it. This was my favorite item of the night. It came with a side of fruits and sauce. 4.5÷5 — Cucumber Basil Gimlet: refreshing and tasty. One of the stronger gimlets I’ve had. 5⁄5 — Cabernet Sauvignon St. Supery: very good. 5⁄5 SERVICE I made reservations online at 6:30 and wrote a note saying we were celebrating our anniversary. We got there a couple minutes before 6:30. They told us to allow them time to set up. We waited about 5 minutes. When we were seated I was expecting a decorated table because I read that other Unilocalpers had that for their anniversary. I was a little disappointed. The tables on both sides of us were greeted with«happy birthday» but we didn’t get a «happy anniversary.» Again, a little bum. We were here to celebrate and we didn’t get any special treatment. No free dessert like other Unilocalpers who celebrated at RC received. They probably missed the memo. We didn’t want to be awkward and say anything. Anyway, I’m done crying. lol. Other than that our waitress was friendly and attentive. I purposely made reservations at 6:30 so we can take advantage of their happy hour which ends at 7. When I asked, we were told that the bar is separate and we can’t order food or drinks from the bar and take it to the dining area. I wanted to try food and drinks off the happy hour menu. Again, bummed. I read great things about their happy hour. Midway through dinner, I saw a couple leave the bar and were seated in the dining room. She had a drink in her hand. Wth?! I was told we weren’t allowed to do that. 3⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS My food was mediocre at best. For the price, it was not worth it. My husband had the rib-eye which he said was good, not great. I’m glad one of us had a good meal. We didn’t get any special treatment for celebrating our anniversary so it kind of dampened my mood. The drinks were yummy. I don’t think I’ll come back for dinner. But I would still like to try their bar. Unilocal says RC is $$$ but I think its’ more like $$$$. 2 classics and 3 drinks came out to a little over $ 160.

Guys… It’s Ruth’s Chris. The steak here is by far the best. I have eaten at other fancy expensive steak houses and every time I just wish I had gone here instead. Yes it’s really expensive but a smart trick is to hit up their happy hour in the bar because you can get a fantastic steak sandwich for 8 $!

Despite having dinner reservations run 30 minutes behind schedule and then not getting the appetizer we ordered, the food was delicious and staff helpful and friendly. But I would like to suggest that when someone is ordering food, the waiter should not say«ok, that will be enough.» I ordered fillet mignon, asparagus and mashed potatoes. I was about to order the lobster Mac and cheese to try but changed my mind when the waiter said that. I regretted that decision when we were leaving and didn’t have much in the way of leftovers to take home. One other suggestion. When it’s raining and a diner is wearing a wool flat cap maybe the hostess should not require it to be taken off when being seated. Especially when the elderly man sitting directly behind you has almost the exact same flat cap on and is sitting there happily eating dinner in it. Just sayin’…

I didn’t know about Ruths Chris until about 4 years ago when my boss took us out for our 1st annual Christmas dinner. I am so glad that he opened my eyes to uh-mazing steak because since then my husband and I will try and find any excuse to go to this restaurant. Yes… I am 4 years late on a review This place is definitely great for intimate celebrations, when making reservations for an anniversary they will put rose petals on the table. For birthday celebrations they use confetti. The staff here are always very friendly and attentive. Its crazy to read reviews saying the food is nasty because everything that I have tried here has been absolutely phenomenal. Dishes here are à la carte so it can get really pricey but well worth it for a once maybe twice a year dinner date and never skip out on the crème brûlée!

This is a nice place in a classy mall. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. Young staff all on their own. Each works well amongst themselves & independently. Our waiter was Jordan and he did a fine job. $ 15.00 corkage fee /$ 15.00 Martini & one other glass of wine. Birthday Dinner & all went well. Calamari was great and quantity was grand. Spicy lobster is the best! Lamb Chops(rack of lamb) was clean and tasty — not a lot of seasoning and NOMINT /just the way I like it. Osobucca raviolis w spinach is rich, tasty & fantastic. Lobster mac n cheese is rich, filling and a very hefty amount. Desert was awesome: berries and cream & apple crumb a la mode. a very nice 2.5 hour dinner /we sat by the window and were not bothered by any other patrons. We’ve eatin here many times and will continue to do so. This location is much easier to get to than the Roseville location and in my opinion has better atmosphere. only downer was our scalloped potatoes came out cold. Would’ve thought that they would’ve taken them off the bill. ???

Came here for my birthday a few years ago and when we arrived, there was birthday confetti at our table! That was really sweet. I tried their seared ahi tuna, ribeye steak and potatoes au gratin and the potatoes ended up being my favorite! The steak wasn’t bad but I guess I expected more out of a higher end steakhouse. If it were for this experience alone, I would probably give Ruth Chris 3 stars. I’d rather spend that kind of money elsewhere. However, their happy hours are the absolute best! Not only are both food and drink specials quite the deal but also delicious! My gf and I ordered pretty much one of everything and loved it all. One thing I did note though, is that their ahi tuna dishes are pretty weak all around. It was probably my least favorite dish both during dinner and happy hour. Service is always great, can’t wait to be back!

So we came here from my father’s 60th birthday and the service was phenomenal! Paul and Amanda were great servers and definitely were personable to everyone in our group! Also the food tasted amazing and I am definitely coming back… If you are reading this review to find a great steakhouse come here… But you need to follow dress code!

YAY! It’s Christmas 2015 and this year we aren’t cooking!!! Normally I cook a prime rib for the holiday because we already had turkey for Thanksgiving. I usually like to change it up. But this year it’s different because we plan to travel soon after and we always end up with too many leftovers that lasts for weeks! Lol! Gotcha! Several weeks prior I was like WTH? What is opened on Christmas Day? You’re prolly thinking the same as you drive the streets on Christmas Day! You did that too? Yes we are silly at times! Well in reality we had to drop off a Christmas gift and wanted to see the fam before they were gone to God knows where??? I surfed the net and through OpenTable it gave me a great option of Ruth Chris Steakhouse. So I went ahead and reserved it there! Maybe because I wanted steak! We arrived at Pavilions which is where the restaurant is located. Man was the parking lot packed to the hilt! It surprised us somewhat because you think most are cooking at home. Not this family!!! Luckily I made reservations and we were there on time. We sat at the patio covered area though it was dark before you know it! I sat down and man it was freezing cold! I even switched chairs with hubby too but yet I was chilled. They did serve us sourdough bread initially at no extra charge. I had planned to eat lobsta with filet but being the Gemini I am I of course changed my mind!!! I decided on the filet & scampi. They had a promotion where you get a choice of several salads or soup, main entrée, another side and a dessert of turtle chocolate cheesecake with cranberry-pecan chocolate. Our waitress was so on point too. We all went with the promotions. I had the Caesar salad that was one of the best I had; hubby had the steak house salad(no steak inclusive btw). Daughter had the apple, walnut and cheese salad and her bf had the white bean & chorizo soup which looked very tomatoey and delish. My filet was rare, tasty and very succulent. Scampi was delicious. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes which was buttery in flava. Hubby had Mac n cheese with his 16 ounce ribeye. He ordered it medium though it appeared redder than he liked. We had all the chocolate turtle cheesecake with cranberry-pecan chocolate pieces. We could have had a choice of a different dessert but that would have been four dollars extra. I was tempted but daughter’s bf exclaimed no thank you which prolly was best after all! Other than it being so chilly in that area of the restaurant I was overall happy with the food, upscale ambience and service. Many people left with doggy bags not literally so to speak but it was more than enough food for all of us. We were all basically satisfied. This was prolly our third time here and it won’t be our last! I’ve heard happy hour here is pretty good too! So maybe we will be back for that! I was thinking that Christmas Day was their busiest day of the year but our waitress commented that Mother’s Day is which makes a whole lot of sense!!! I’m not planning to cook that day too!!! Hint hint hint! LOL

We came here for my cousins birthday dinner. I got the filet and shrimp classic dinner. I had my steak medium but it tasted like it was well done. I didn’t really like my steak because of how well done the meat was but the shrimp was seasoned well so it had a lot of flavor. I enjoyed the sides more. The Caesar salad/Mac and cheese. The Mac had jalapeños which gave it a kick. That was probably my favorite. My girlfriend got the ribeye dinner and she got her steak medium rare. It came out the way she liked it. It was juicy and the flavor was on point. I would’ve given it 4 stars if my steak wasn’t overcooked. For the price I would’ve wanted my steak how I liked it so I don’t know if I would go back again. I could find somewhere else with better Price and quality. I was never a fan of the filet steak. I usually get ribeye but I thought I would give it a try. I shouldn’t have. The service was good in the beginning because they came by often for refills but towards the end they came around less so some of us got really thirsty. It also took about 15 – 20 minutes in between for each course to come out so by the time we received our main course most of us were already done eating. And had to get the food to go. We all got our dessert to go.

While In Sac, I had to take my hunnie somewhere nice before she left for bootcamp so when I saw there was a Ruth Chris near our hotel I made a reservation and I’m so glad I did. This place was amazing with décor, service and food. I loved it. Upon entering the lights are low which gave a romantic feel. The hostess was very welcoming and professional. We were seated right away but 5 mins later we asked to be moved cause there was a large party next to us who were drunk and singing, which was very annoying. Our server was so gracious and moved us to a nice comfy booth which was much better and more intimate. Our server who was Andre, was absolutely amazing and the service he extended to us couldnt have been better. He was very professional and explained some of his menu favorites, the specials for the day and checked on us multiple times. For my cocktail I ordered the blackberry sidecar which was a bit sweet and tangy, I love it. For starters we ordered the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was huge and very fresh. It came on a bed of salad which had a lemon dressing, it was to die for and worth the price. My hunnie and I went with the pre fixe men option which came with 3 entrée options and we got the 6 oz filet and shrimp, a soup or salad, she both got salads, 1 side, I got mac and she got mash and dessert which we got the cheesecake. What a great selection we picked. I also got the dipping sauce trio which was excellent. It came with 3 dipping sauces for the steaks. 1 was a mushroom cream sauce, truffle butter and the other was like a sweet glaze. They were all so good and full of flavor. The greens on the salads were fresh and crisp, not over or under dressed with salad dressing and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides were huge and enough for 2 or even 3 to share. I love the mac and chess, it has a bit of a spicy flavoring and i asked our server and sure enough there was a bit of jalapeño added, it gave it such an amazing flavor, I loved it. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place, oh and parking is free as well and there is plenty in the lot that Ruth’s Chris is in. This place is a must to add to your list of dining options! Thank you again Andre for an amazing experience!

Hi-ya! We went for happy hour on a Friday around 4:30. There was a wait… and it’s first come, first serve. The staff doesn’t monitor seating so when you see a spot… get it. The ambience is very nice(basically what you expect from a nice steakhouse). The happy hour menu prices are basically $ 8 until 7PM. The drinks were strong and food very tasty. Once we found a table to sit at… it was very chill and relaxed. Our servers were very professional and courteous. We didn’t find anything wrong with service or the food. The bathrooms and dining area are extremely clean. I recommended the crab BLT and Zucchini fries… really tasty. Overall no issues and even if we tried to look for any they would immaterial. Great happy hour dining experience.

I went during their happy hour(4 – 7) and I was happy with the food. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna. It was cooked well and I finished it. I did feel there was too much of the wasabi taste though. I also tried the crab blt that came with zucchini fries which were both really good. I ordered the pomegranate martini, it was a bit strong but delicious. The only thing I wasn’t too fond about was the fact that you had to keep your eyes on a table rather than the staffs notifying you about an open table.

Love me some Ruth Chris! Cowboy Ribeye cooked to medium on a 500 degree plate was awesome! Creamy spinach was awesome! Lobster mac and cheese was awesome! Chopped salad was awesome! Two crab cakes for twenty bucks was ok, I like my crab cakes crisp on the edges. These were doughy… Celebrating your anniversary dinner here is awesome! They totally acknowledged it and had rose pedals on the table! Nice cheesecake and ice cream anniversary desert was awesome! It made me miss out on the banana cream pie which I was looking forward to! Corkage fee is awesome! Bring the good stuff! Service overall is better than good but not over the top… The food and presentation is on point and I’ll be sure to spend my money here again before our 11th anniversary! Thank Sacramento Ruth Chris!!!
