Loved the beach, my dog had a blast exploring and my husband got some good drone footage. There was a lot of trash– mostly bottles in the sand but sadly that is to be expected at a public park. It seems like it would be a nice place to camp, mellow vibe

We come to this park at least a few times each week for fun in the sun with our doggies. The park is at the end of a very long, and bumpy, road so don’t fret if you are driving for a few minutes wondering if you are going the right way … When you arrive, you will come to a station for which you are to pay $ 5 for using the park/parking. This fee is on the honor system. Sherman Island is great for wind surfing, kayaking, and dog romps. Parking is abundant. NOTES: On the really windy days, the beach access will be clogged with wind surfers and their gear. Also, while there are a couple outhouses, there is NOWATER at this park. When we come we bring a few gallons of water to drink and for rinsing off sand.
