Wanted new flooring for master bathroom and bedroom. Came out, gave estimate, got sample, called with questions and possible discount on rather high quote for us. Said they’d get back to us. Never did. Disappointing based on previous experience.

Contacted Simas flooring for commercial carpet. After calling several times and leaving messages, I finally spoke with Bill. We made an appointment for him to come out and measure. He never showed up and 2 weeks later has not returned my call. I won’t be calling again!

Underwhelming Customer Service. Gonna take my money elsewhere.
I went to Simas in hopes of finding tile for my kitchen renovation. Upon walking in, no one greeted me even though there was someone standing in the front counter. Initially, I didn’t think too much about it but after a few moments of wandering around, I had to take the initiative of asking one of the employees where their tile supply was. Turns out, the tiles are in the back of the store so she pointed in the general area. I figured they’d have someone in the section that could walk me through their selection or you know, actually provide some customer service. After browsing around on my own for 5 minutes, I figured no one was around so I went back to the front to see if they could send someone back there to help me out. The women in the front said sure so I headed back to the area hoping someone would come by. [Note: this is a Friday morning and there’s maybe one other customer in the store, she looked just as aimless as I did.] I kept browsing for a while and no one came by. I causally walked out without any of the employees ever acknowledging me as a customer. What a waste of time. I’ve been to other flooring places in Sacramento that greet you the moment you walk in and help you find the selection that’s best for you. It’s not too much to ask to have someone actually provide customer service.

Thomas is the best person to to consult with on a project! He made suggestions that not only improved the results but saved me money, too! I now have beautiful new wood floors throughout the first floor and up the stairs. The kitchen counters and backsplash are spectacular! I have a new home and didn’t have to move. It was so great to work with one company for the entire job. Thank you Thomas!

Extremely happy with my selection process thus far. The estimator we are working with, Thomas Irwin, is fantastic at what he does! He has an eye for design and a mobile showroom allowing him to try different selections while on site. He immediately saw the style of hardwood I was leaning towards and made a recommendation that should compliment my counters and cabinets. We are working on a tight timeline and he is more than accomodating to help us achieve our install date. Definitely would recommend asking for Thomas if you are thinking of any home improvements that Simas could help with.

Customer service is horrible, not sure how long they were in business but ladies upfront doesn’t seem like know what they are doing, so unorganized! I came there to pick up the ordered tile, they response was that warehouse is closed and need to come back before 4:00 pm. I get in the car and looked at the clock. It was 3:45pm, so I went back in and told them what the time was, they sure didn’t seem happy, and called warehouse and asked if they were still open. Really? Lol. That was so awkward, mAde me feel out of place. There was a broken tile issue that I don’t have the time to write about, I would go back and look at the tile and hardwood floors but order somewhere else. Take the money somewhere with great customer service.

They pulled a bait and switch scam on us, quoted us $ 5.39 then when we came back to order they changed the price to $ 7.20, fool me once…

I worked with David when he was with Abby floors and had a wonderful experience so when I needed new carpets I called David who is now with Simas floor. David is always honest and very helpful. Takes time to answer questions and return phone calls. The install service was also great.

I went to Simas in a hurry. I had picked out tile elsewhere and when we got the granite counter top in no one liked the tile I had chosen. I took my granite sample with me to Simas and the sales woman was very helpful in finding a tile and accent that looked great.
My problem is the tile. I was concerned about the rough texture of the tile and asked it would be difficult to clean. I was assured that it could be cleaned like any other tile. So the tile and accent was installed on the backsplash and floor. OMG. The tile on the floor is next to impossible to clean. I bought a tile cleaner (mop?) and couldn’t get it to push across the floor because it would hang up on the texture (like little tiny spikes) of the tile. I went back to Simas hoping that they could tell me if I was doing anything wrong. They gave we another tile cleaning mop but it’s also cloth and can’t be pushed across the floor. I even went out and bought a tile cleaning machine (with the brushes and solution) I still couldn’t get the colored sugar specks off of the floor. Some of the tiles are so rough that you can stand on it with socks on and the sock will stay if you move your foot backward.
I have come to the conclusion that unless I plan on spending my weekends on my knees with a scrub brush, I have to replace the tile. We spent almost $ 1500.00 on tile and now have to rip most of it out.
I gave two stars because the selection is great and the salesperson has a good eye for color and matching tile.

Before selecting Simas, we received quotes from several other companies. Some made statements that they could get any carpet or LVT, but when pressed about specific brands they couldn’t deliver. I also don’t know much about carpet and LVT, but found I knew more than some of the sales reps.
We selected Simas because of the wide selection of carpets and luxury vinyl tile. However, the customer service was the best part of the job. Each time we walked in the door we were greeted and promptly assisted by the staff. Jan and David… know there stuff when it comes to flooring. We found the perfect carpet and LVT for our project. The process was very simple and the project was completed within the specified timeframe.
Since the installation, we have had several compliments on our carpet and LVT. We will definitely be using Simas again for our next project.

Thomas Irwin was recommended by a designer in whom I have faith. True to her regard for his customer service, he was excellent from beginning to end. He found a great carpet to compliment the carpet I was keeping in the formal areas and lead me through the process of choosing hardwood. He came to check on progress and to speak with the installers. He arranged the plumber to reinstall after the flooring was done. Everyone associated with Simas was hard-​working — staff, demo personnel and installers. Kathy even came to my home on Thanksgiving weekend to pick up the paint for the new baseboards so we would remain on schedule. Today he came to return what was left of the paint and to do a final walk through. I can’t say enough about the diligence and friendly service Thomas and Simas in general provides.

Simas has a great selection of products. I was looking for wool carpet and the other place I went to had very little offer. Prices were competitive with the other place as well. Staff were friendly and helped layout the different options.

Thomas was a great estimator, he came out with his mobile showroom, gave us an honest estimate that day in writing (others took 2 days!) He had great ideas and definitely helped us with our flooring decision. Dimitriy and Javier were great installers. Very professional and nice. The work was competed on schedule, and they did a decent job cleaning up afterwards too. We love our new floors, and we are very happy to recommend Simas to anyone looking for new flooring.

We had engineered hardware installed in our home. We were treated in a courteous, helpful and professional manner from beginning to end. The selection, the home visit to measure and give a price quote and the actual installation. Our two installers were outstanding individuals; they worked quickly and efficiently and neatly and then put my house back together; they did the little finishing touches. It is beautiful and we love it! Can’t give enough accolades to this company!

If I could rate Simas a million different ways for perfect service and perfect floors on a scale frim 1 – 5 in each catagory I’d give them 100 in each catagory! So pleased with our new floors and what a dream I was to work with them. It doesn’t get any better than this. Thank you so much Simas!

My husband and I were just out shopping for hardwood flooring and seeing what’s out there. The lady that helped us was beyond helpful. Simas has come to our home twice to install new carpet. We were so pleased in the first place that we called them again when we needed carpet for a second room. In both cases we received top notch service and a beautiful product. This company goes above and beyond and really cares about customer satisfaction.

Don’t even think of Empire, Home Depot or any other place for flooring in Sacramento. Simas Floor Company is THE ONLY place to shop. Dollar for dollar, customer service and quality products will make us come back again and again.
