Why did they have to close down? Hands down best pizza place in mid-town sac! The green chick was to die for. Come back slice of Broadway!

Glad I had a chance to check out this pizza place. Invited here for an event and they had their pizza and fresh salads ready for us and by looking at the menu all items are reasonably priced. They have tables and couple of booth seating and some coin op games in the back of room. Order WINGSFIRST! they are delish yummy and then go for the pizzas. crust is nice and crisp with a mild base and fresh toppings with gooey melted cheese YUMMM Staff very nice and friendly

Walked in to order a large pizza and was told it would be ready in 20 – 30 mins but it took about 45 mins — 1 hour. When I got home I found a hair on the pizza immediately, I called to have them deliver me a new one. I was charged a delivery fee of $ 2.25(I shouldnt have to pay for that) and I waited an hour and 20 mins for them to come. The crust was hard and burnt and there was way to much corn meal. Eh, won’t be doing this again.

Tried two types of pizza, veggie with red sauce and bacon with veggies with a white sauce. Both were outstanding. Crust was soft yet had a crunch to the edges. Also tried the teriyaki wings, good size and good flavor

This review is for the Broadway Slice only, as I am yet to order an entire pie here. For those that don’t know, a Broadway Slice is actually two slices of pizza that end up being the size of a fourth of a large pizza. The«slice» is made to order though, which means it’s not actually a slice off of a pizza, but actually a personal size pizza made into a triangle to resemble a slice of pizza. Confused yet? The pros: each«slice» is made to order, which means you’re guaranteed to get a piping hot slice each time. The crust is thin, and the price is insanely cheap: $ 5.00 plus $ 0.50 per topping added. The cons: Again, it’s made to order, which means you WILL wait 20 minutes, unless you call your order in ahead of time. The crust is also very crisp as a result of the unusual cooking method, and I don’t particularly care for it. A lot of people like this, however. Nothing really stands out in this pizza, other than the fact that all three sides of each slice is crispy as a result of being baked individually. To be honest, it reminded me a lot of Costco pizza, if it was just baked a couple minutes longer, to make the crust crispy. I think I’ll actually go to Costco next time, and save myself 20 minutes.

Pro: pizza was fine, nice selection of toppings. Con: 2 hour wait for delivery. 2 hours! If you’re hungry, I’d suggest another option. The wait, their half-finished website, the 14 rings before my call was answered, and the lack of concern when I called to inquire about the whereabouts of my food… Get it together people!

Possibly the best pizza in Sac. Of course your taste in pizza may differ; you may enjoy tiny little thin crusty pies or whatever. But me, I like a nice big, wide, firm slice of perfectly toasted pizza with plenty of flavor but not tons of grease or bullshit. And this hits the spot as described. They deliver, you can pick up to go, or sit on a couch and watch TV while you eat. Whateva. Best part? The value… It’s like 6.50 for a «slice». But to them, a slice is so big they cut it in half and put it in a little box. So a «1 slice» order from them is basically half an entire medium sized pizza anywhere else. Outstanding. So, far as as I’m concerned… might just be the best pizza in Sac. The only thing keeping me from adding that 5th perfect star is the wait; it seems a bit long compared to most other places. So to get around that, just call your order in as soon as you start craving pizza. Like, don’t debate and whine just call and order and by the time you’re like«omg it’s official i need pizza» it’ll be ready. Check them out, or don’t.

Today was a much better experience. We wanted pizza and decided to order from a familiar spot. We called, there was a guy who took the order, very friendly. Quoted our price of $ 21 for wings and pizza. Then told us it would be 45m-1hr. Not a bad deal, the order came within 45m minutes, pizza was hot. Pizza was great(Alfredo, Cheese & Chicken) and wings are good. Never have been a fan of their ranch but that’s okay. The delivery driver was pleasant, patient and friendly. Thanks!

Yum! This review is for delivery only as I have yet to actually step foot inside the place. My current favorite place to order delivery from in the midtown area. They’re super affordable and the delivery guy shows up promptly, usually before the ETA given over the phone. The Margherita Pizza is delicious and a personal favorite. Can’t go wrong with the traditional pep when you’re feeling boring. I’m a fan of the crust here. Flavorful all the way through and never soggy or burned.

WOW. Just wow. This place is bomb. Just make sure that you call in your order because they make everything fresh and you’ll be waiting 20 min for your slice of pizza. Trust me, this place is AMAZING and so worth the wait. I get a slice of K Street that lasts me two meals. They basically give you 2 huge slices for under $ 9. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Not bad. $ 7.50 for a ¼ slice of a 20″ speciality pizza. With tax it comes to $ 8-something. Use the Unilocal checking for 10%off to bring the total back down to just under $ 8. We ordered a slice of specialty pizza: the Broadway supreme. The good: Orders are made fresh to order. Decent slice of pie with an abundance of toppings for what you pay for. The bad: Orders made fresh to order = minimum 20 min wait. I believe they initially messed up our order by using the red sauce instead of the white. So we ended up waiting longer. First bite: all I tasted was butter(most likely from the white sauce). The pizza was greasy & saltier than to my liking. The taste was heavy & left a lingering aftertaste. I think I wouldn’t have minded having the«messed up order» with red sauce instead at this point. The pizza was meh to OK at most. The interior looks like a dive. There are 3 old school battle arcade games: Marvel vs Capcom, Street fighter vs something, & some other one. There’s random artwork on the wall that’s for sale. Some were paintings, some were drawings. The 4(series) that appeared in front of me seemed to have a theme of Middle Ages death: one appears to be 2 people decapitating a man(?); one with 2 people sitting at a table with the severed head on top of the table; one with an old man sitting at a desk with a skull on top of the desk; the other one looked like people were attempting to carry the soon-to-be-decapitated man. [I kept studying these pieces during my 40+min wait]. There were also portraits of musicians: two of which are of 2Pac. I initially came here for the lunch buffet that I’ve always heard about over the years from others, plus from a recent«junk mail» ad for the buffet here. I was disappointed when I found out that they don’t have this anymore(?) When I inquired about the buffet, the worker simply replied that they don’t have it. I saw a worn faded sign behind some other signs that it may be just on weekdays at certain times(?) So I’m not sure if this buffet is even in effect at all or.(?) There was only one table with a couple already eating their meal, so we were the only other customers there. They only had our order to work on. I wish they would have personally told us that they messed up our order. The only hint that gave it away was that we heard 2 of the kitchen workers fuss about«aww man, it’s not supposedta be the red sauce» &30 min passing by without us receiving our order. No apology for the wait, no informing us that they probably messed up our order & have to wait a bit longer. We probably wouldn’t have cared & said it’s OK if we were informed about it because we were hungry. 1.5 stars to be generous. I really wanted to like this place just from the previous raves over the years, but the service wasn’t great– ’twas a «don’t care» attitude. Despite the decent slice portion & abundance of toppings, the taste & doughiness of pizza was meh. Plus their lunch buffet ad in the mail is outdated – if in fact they don’t have it. Sadly, I think I was better off going to the hyped-up 5-min fast-bake, unlimited topping, build-your-own pizza places for $ 8.

I ordered a medium pizza and chicken wings for delivery. It was delivered promptly. The presentation was great and the pizza was good. My only complaint is that we were only given one small container of ranch sauce for 10 wings(and pizza!). Other than that, it was a pleasant change from the usual — Pizza Guys.

When I first tried Slice of Broadway a few years ago I thought it was great. The pizza was really good, good sides and quick delivery. Lately though, this place has gone way down hill. When someone actually answers the phone, the girl that I have talked to is super friendly, but she is the only one. Everyone else that works there seems like they are doing you a favor by helping you. I don’t know what changed with the pizza but the quality has gotten horrible. It tastes fine but honestly you can get the same pie from Pizza Guys or Dominoes. The last few times I have ordered chicken strips, they always seem to be out of them. But the thing that irks me to no end is the lack of a menu on their website. There used to be one like a year or so ago. I asked several times what happened to the menu and was told they took it down to make changes. It’s been over a year and it still says«coming soon». It seem like they are just going through the motions on running a business and don’t really care if they are successful. It’s unfortunate because I think they could do really well if they just tried a little bit. It really seems like they will be out of business soon.

The pizza here was tasty and good size as well(by the slice or whole pie). But… it was so damn hot in there I swear I seen the devil.

For some, SOB could mean South of the Border or Son of a B***h. Well in this case, we’re talking about a different SOB in that of «Slice of Broadway». This has got to be one of the most consistently affordable pizza joints in Sacramento. And since we’re blessed with some of the best amazing inexpensive places within a 1-mile radius(«Pieces Pizza By The Slice», «Uncle Vito’s Slice of NY», and«Zelda’s»; just to name a few), I love the atmosphere that this place has been dishing out quality pizzas by the slice as far back as I can remember. Located right on the corner of 16th St. and Broadway in the lower Downtown area of Sacramento, «Slice of Broadway» has always been my go-to spot whenever I get my pizza cravings. Parking is usually always easy to find except on weekday afternoons when their lunch rush arrives. Inside, a sea of red walls grace the business while traditional tables and chairs house the rest of the establishment. You will also find a few old school arcade machines and a generous salad bar if you wish to go the healthier route. I have to say that every time I dine here, it almost feels like I’m in a bar. Its got a very dark and cold feeling but it works for the vibe especially in this part of Sacramento. And since I’m on the subject of a bar, they actually do serve quite a few iced cold beers on tap. In addition to their ginormous amount of pizzas, they also serve other comfort food options such as a wide variety of wings(in all different flavors), fries, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, chicken strips, and garlic bread. Now onto the pizza; of the dozen or so times that I’ve dined here, I have eaten many different options that includes the traditional pepperoni, Hawaiian, combination, and cheese. And also some of the more elaborate flavors that includes pesto, garlic chicken, and BBQ chicken. When I dine here with my fiancée, we usually always order one single slice of pizza. Reason being is quite simply because a single slice is HUGE! Its actually cut into two slices and for prices that vary in between $ 6.00 to $ 8.00, you definitely get your moneys worth on a budget. As far as the taste, flavor, and texture of their slices, «Slice of Broadway» has always been consistent while using quality ingredients in their toppings. Overall, if you’re in need of a cheap lunch or late night snack(they do close at 10pm, however), then«Slice of Broadway» is just the place for you. The service has been very attentive, friendly, and just a relaxed atmosphere. It may not be the nicest looking place but that just adds to some of that worn look to it. Definitely one of my personal favorite pizza joints in Sacramento.

I seem to eat here sporadically. Usually allowing enough time to pass between each visit to forget why I don’t come here regularly. The pizza is not bad, just average at best. Given the number of pizza joints in the area with superior pizza and what the price point is here for pizza, I probably won’t come back… till I forget again at least.

The veginator, the bbq chicken, and whatever else. This place hands down has the best pizza in the greater Sacramento region. Not to mention the killer chicken wings. A must go.

Pros: The food was decent. I cant say its the best in town, but if you’re in the area, its fast and inexpensive. Selling the pizza by the slice is a good idea($ 5 for the cheese pizza or $ 7 for the gourmet). My pizza was ok. I had the basic meat lovers which is called«The Mancho». Also with ranch dressing as well and an orange soda to go with it. Cons: I can’t get over the feeling that things are missing, Like an atmosphere. Cartoons on the little tv’s. they have a very small selection of beer on tap and no fountain drinks. Soda Cans(12 .oz) are $.92 a can. Eight or more ceiling fans going with light bulbs missing, wires exposed in the ceiling. Every wall is red with a black ceiling and floors which makes the place feel smaller. Customer service is basic. After they bring the pizza to your table the service is over. The fix: *This place has to offer something to its public(catch bee’s with honey affect). Serving Beer with nickelodeon on the television sends mix signals to the customers and potenial customers. — Employees should all be wearing staff shirts, its hard to identify who’s ordering and people behind the counters. ***Bigger TV’s with sports on them or music videos on silent. Cause cartoons and beer dont mix Plus. — Music to bring the place life.(Its dull in there unless you watch nickelodeon. * Karaōke, will bring profit and customers and get rid of the unused, non profitable portion of the building(or SLAM nights) GOOGLEIT. — A mural inside that goes around the walls instead of all red(over accented) walls. Get better lighting as well. — The building should be a little bit more open. The front window should cover the entrance so the passing traffic can see what this place has to offer OR have an extra window and sale slices without customers having to walk in(kind of like hot and ready street slices) *FOUNTAINDRINKS. CAUSE C’MON, REALLY?

After a 6 hour bootcamp-esque event, we needed FOOD and we needed it NOW. For a Saturday night with 4 star reviews on Unilocal,I expected this place to be crackin’. There were only a few others dining in besides our 8 person group. We ordered 3XL pizzas(Combo, Macho and K-Street), 35 wings, and 2 pitchers of beer and demolished most of it. The toppings were plentiful and the crusts were crunchy, just the way I like it. Service was pretty good and attentive. The wings came out after 20 minutes, two pizzas 10 minutes after, and the last one 10ish minutes after that. I wish all three came out at the same time since we were slowing down by the time the last one came. The only gripe I have about this place is I was f’ing FREEZING there… It was only slightly warmer than outside’s 60 degrees. We’re in California, anything below 75 is COLD.

Yum! Slice of Broadway made for a good end to a Friday night. We were still hungry after eating at a place where the food quantity was sadly not in line with price, so we came to Slice of Broadway. I didn’t have much cash so I just ordered a slice of the Cali Chick. It was Friday night and busy so we had to wait maybe 20-ish minutes, but we passed the time on a comfy couch watching an Amy Schumer special(+1 for good TV in the venue!) When the girl walked our orders out, I thought she got my order wrong– I ordered one slice and I had 2 slices on my plate. But according to my friend, you always get 2 pieces when you order a slice. WHAAAAT. 2 large slices of specialty pizza for $ 6? I’m always broke/hungry as hell, so sign me up! The slices are wide-cut, thinner NY style pizza which I love. My Cali Chick was a symphony of white garlic sauce, chicken, tomato and red & green onions. MMMM. Plus the venue had a chill vibe and the cook was cracking us up, loudly singing along to the music on the kitchen radio. This is one S.O.B. I’ll be glad to revisit! ;)
