Please be cautioned about purchasing gift cards at this location. My wife frequents this location often and bought some gift certificates for her employees to give out for the holidays. When she gave them out to the employees, they were not activated with the money on them. How embarrassing! She went back in to the store but they would not accommodate her and make the transaction right. She spoke to the manager and was told that she needed to contact corporate. So we called corporate, and after that conversation, Tina(1−855−468−3413) said that she could not or would not be able to help me. She said that we had to go back to the store. So now we have corporate passing the buck as well. And to be honest, we don’t have the time to keep getting the run around. So in a nutshell, I’m not going to spend anymore energy with this matter. Both the branch side and the corporate side have said that they are unwilling to assist. BTW, I usually try to give businesses ample opportunity to make things right, but Starbucks(specifically this location) has declined that opportunity. PS — This is only my 2nd1 star review ever

Starbucks has cleaned up, remodeled, or done something to this location. It’s nice to see because it used to be kinda dark and dingy. The coffee and food are good. Your standard Starbucks fare. I usually get Pike Place blend and it’s the same as every other store. The salads are always fresh and taste good. My only complaint is they are kinda small for the price. Honestly, I’d rather go somewhere else for food. The service seems pretty good. The staff is friendly and seem genuinely interested in their customers. Maybe a little too interested at times… One of the women at the cash register spent a long time flirting with a couple male customers. She help up the line for a few minutes until someone else helped out. I wanted to yell«Yo b***h! Take your hormones to the bar next door!» but I didn’t. I’m not mad. I was just Jones’n for some coffee.

Love going to this Starbucks for a mid-morning pick-me-up/brief getaway from work! Eloy is one of the nicest baristas I’ve ever met! He also has one of the best memories in the world lol. Everyone else is great, too, of course :)

YEPIT’S A STARBUCKS! If you have never been to a Starbucks in your life because the rock that you live under does not have a Starbucks next to it, then let me apologize for the concise review. QUALITY/SELECTION: 4⁄5 Tastes the same as every other starbucks in the country. At least Starbucks is consistent. Some stuff tastes bad, some tastes good. It all depends on what you order. The menu is large. AMBIENCE: 3⁄5 Doesn’t look too bad inside. The tables are actually separated from the coffee bar area, which is nice. I just do not like the street. The homeless come in frequently. It probably depends on what time you enter, but I always see them sitting at the tables. PRICE: 3⁄5 Same prices as every other SBUX. Soy, flavors, anything costs more than it should. 1 dollar bananas, 2 dollar water. At least a cup of water is free. SERVICE: 5⁄5 I like the baristas here. They are courteous and diligent. Your order comes out fast. Tip ‘em. Overall, I give a 3.5÷5. It is not my go to coffee hut, but it gets the job done.

Thanks Andrew(with the awesome beard [I hope I have your name right]) for the awesome longshot iced espresso and passion tea lemonade(for my fiancée.) I worked at starbucks for 5 years(store 9901), and it’s sad how few baristas know how to properly pull long shots– it only takes a click of a button and some effort– but Andrew knew what I was talking about and he delivered. The caffeine was perfect, especially for what happened next… We stayed for a while. And then we left the store, my lady wasn’t feeling well and I wasn’t paying attention to myself … I left my wallet and drove away(!!!). I realized my mistake(an hour) 60 miles down the highway later… i called the store to see if I left my wallet there. Andrew and Cynthia(and whoever the third or fourth barista there, i didn’t get their names) had saved it. I turned around and made it back 5 minutes after they had closed, Cynthia and Andrew graciously gave us the wallet back. Thanks for being so thoughtful. Yes, Starbucks is a huge corporation, but they tend to hire awesome people(andrew and cynthia case and point) and their reliability and drink consistency(iced L E and PTL case and point) don’t happen by accident. Thank you for the great service. –partner 1563221 out

I went to the other Starbucks down the street in 16th… The barista there told me that the s’mores frappichino was discontinued. I didn’t believe her and decided to investigate down the street! I was glad I did because this Starbucks actually made me a vinti s’mores frappichino. I was so happy to actually be able to get it! Somebody at the other location lied to me! Anyhow, I was happy to prove her urban legend wrong! Thanks guys! You made my day!

It’s not my preferred coffee shop, but I can’t deny the beauty of their caramel macchiato. This one always has friendly baristas, too.

As I walked across Downtown thanks to my transportation choice yesterday, I was heading down to Starbucks at 16th Street. This place is quite small, yet it’s a good peaceful place to get a good drink. I must say that these employees has done a fantastic job keeping this place a full of joy and happiness! No problems at all! For the ordering process, I ordered an iced, unsweetened green tea. This iced green tea tasted not very bad at all! The restroom is well maintained although it needs a key to open the door. Very clean and refreshing. Overall, this Starbucks at 16th Street is my favorite to-go spot for getting a good cool or hot drinks every day and night. A worthy visit!

Love this location as I venture in Midtown with my wife frequently. Whether before work or for a night out we tend to stop by here or other venues to try out or enjoy. This is a great spot for relaxing and getting quick friendly service gives them a 4 out of 5 star rating.

C’mon you guys! I like this location a lot but you made me want to go make the shlep to my favorite barista in Roseville today! I understand Starbucks hasn’t exactly rolled out the Smore’s yet, but you could have at least offered to make me something that tasted equivalent. My guy would do that for me, at least, if he couldn’t make the actual drink. I’ve known quite a few baristas in my time and I know you guys are trained to make stuff off the secret menu. Taking off a star just because I feel that instead of a flat out no, you could have given me a second option. Mom and Pop Coffee Shops are my preference, anyway. Usually when I come into Starbucks it’s because I have a very specific craving, so this was a let down.

I frequent this location — 5x or more a week. The coffee is what you would expect from Starbucks, but this review is more about the staff. Staff are always nice, friendly and knowledgeable. They know me by name and by now know my drink preferences. They also offer suggestions for new drinks or modifications that I usually end up liking. I’ve been to other locations throughout the USA, but seem to get the friendliest service here. Even before I became a regular here.

Consistently uncrowded, despite being right in the heart of the state-drone hive(I say this as a state-drone). The food always looks very fresh and sometimes while I am standing in line I fantasize about jumping the counter and gorging myself on cake-pops and cookies while all the customers and baristas just stare at me, disgusted. Then I move on to the bagels and breakfast sandwiches, stuffing my face endlessly, and they realize they have to do something about it, so they toss me out and yell at me to never come back again. But no, no gorging for me. Just black coffee, one splenda, and disappointment at no cake-pop feast.

3÷8÷15 It’s Starbucks. Good, overpriced coffee. Came in at 5:57 and they close at 6. The chick was kinda rude as she hurried me along taking my order. But she allowed about five other patrons(whom I perceived to be regulars) to come in and place orders. She was cheery and patient when she rook their orders. As everyone got their orders she held the door and said goodbye. And as I walked out she said nothing. I’ve been here before and had good experiences but not this time. Oh, and she also had a blank name tag on

Good location. Easy parking and short line on the weekend. Food and bevvies were solid, exactly what you’d expect from Starbucks. They also did not ask for my name and therefore did not get a chance to misspell it. :)

What can one say about a Starbucks that really hasn’t already been said. I know there are haters out there that prefer all the great and wonderful independent coffee houses here in the midtown area. But since this is a review, let me tell all who care to take the time to read this, is I actually like this Starbucks location. First of all it’s close, so I can walk to it. Second, the staff is friendly and always in a great mood, always a plus, since a smile can brighten up your day. Third, the outdoor seating is good, as this Starbucks is located on a corner, so you get a choice of sun or shade. And Fourth, they always have the napkins, and seasonal goodies to eat & Sacramento Magazines in stock! Fifth, free WiFi! :) Sixth, if you have a Starbucks card, you rack up rewards(free drinks & stuff!). And Seventh, they do sell Starbucks merchandise, as do all the Starbucks locations, so you can pick up a quick gift for a friend, co-worker or family member. And to add a personal note about this location, it’s clean with great wood tables & chairs to sit, relax and enjoy your choice of their coffee or tea drinks. I feel the wood seating surfaces are more sanitary than the old upholstered chairs they have a some coffee houses.

This location can get extremely busy between 7 – 9 am; probably due to the numerous state agency’s near by; but that doesn’t stop the staff from being friendly and preparing your drink just the way you ordered it!

I only come here during work hours(between 7:45am and 8am, or during breaks) and I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience. The employees are always nice, remember me, and are just pleasant to be around. and not in that way that you can tell they’re fake-happy to see you. Only downside is how busy it can get, which is why I prefer to go during my breaks.
