I went to Sue Duroncelet to see if EMDR could help me with the PTSD and anxiety I was experiencing 6 months after a car accident. I hoped to conquer my fear of getting on the freeway again and reduce my anxiety. The waiting room was relaxing and comfortable with optional tea, coffee or water while I waited and the bathroom, though upstairs, was kept very neat and clean. The office was as comfortable as the rest and felt like a good atmosphere. Sue was very friendly and easy to talk to. She seemed well-versed on her practice and knew what she was doing and what questions to ask. For me personally, EMDR with Sue Duroncelet was a great success. I went in there with an open mind and willingness to participate fully and it worked. I came into my first appointment with faith that it could work for me because my grandpa had tried EMDR years ago to help with his claustrophobia so he could wear a sleep apnea mask and he too had success. Although it could take many sessions, depending on the person and how it works for them, I regained my confidence in driving and found that my anxiety had subsided after just three sessions. Last, she does take insurance and it was a $ 15 copay for me each visit for me. I would highly recommend EMDR if you feel it could benefit you and specifically with Sue Duroncelet. I would definitely go back to her for other kinds of therapy that she does if I needed to also. The address is 17th and I street but you really want to go to 18th and I, otherwise you’ll never find it.
