I’ve been tattoo’d at a handful of shops in Sacramento over the years. To name a few places where I’ve gotten inked: old sac tattoos, liberty tattoo, side show studios, bonehead tattoos, heavenly tattoo (closed) and one more place I can’t remember the name of. I can honestly say after getting work done by Heidi at Iron Monkey I will go no where else for ink. She is an amazing artist, she can do some crazy ink. Heidi has done my last three tattoos and she is also working on a full back piece for my bf. She is not the only good artist in the shop, everyone there is awesome. This is NOT a shop full of douche bag artist waiting to take you money for mediocre work.
Iron Monkey is a newer tattoo shop in Sac, it’s décor is modern, they have local art work for sale on their walls and the shop is super Clean and artist are down to earth, friendly and professional. The best –they don’t over charge you, there prices are very reasonable.

I love iron monkey tattoo! Manuel is amazing! He does all my tattoos. Beautiful, clean shop. Awesome art work. All of the artists are very talented and friendly! Highly recommend this place!

Chris at Iron Monkey is amazing. I had a small wrist tattoo done at a nearby studio about a year ago and I was extremely unhappy with it. I was also terrified to go get it fixed since I probably only had one shot left! Chris did an amazing job of fixing the areas where the previous artist left scar tissue and he color corrected it perfectly, turning it into something I love.
Chris is super easy to talk to, listens to your ideas and gives honest input. I highly recommend them. Glad to have some good guys in town!
