I love this place ! There are not many galleries in Sacramento that have such a welcoming staff and an at home feel. This is definitely my favorite in sacramento to enjoy the work of local artists. Make sure to stop by on 2nd Saturday and meet the owner, Tim Collom, and enjoy everything this gem has to offer… On a personal note, the kindness and integrity of Tim, and his assistant Amber is something that you don’t find all the time, and that really sticks out in my mind … I am a very lucky girl and received a gift that was personally .YES! PERSONALLY delivered to my work place by Amber, and painted by Tim Collom… This was one of my favorites when I was reviewing Tims AMAZING paintings… I cannot wait to post a picture of the perfect spot I find for this beautiful work of art.. When a business owner is at one with his Community and has the gift of creativity it doesn’t get any better than that! So GO !!!

I heart this small little hidden gallery in Sacramento! I always like to check it out every month after the big Second Saturday gatherings. It’s good to take in some local talent. Plus it’s nice to just not be in the busy rush of so many people and actually stop and just take in the images on the wall. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Art in itself is a risk to take on, and everyone is a critic. There is always going to be someone in the background saying«I could do it». But I love coming in here and seeing someone have the guts to actually just do it.

The Tim Collom Gallery is at the top of my list when it comes to independent art galleries in Sacramento. Not only does it show the works of a variety of artists, but the artwork changes each month. The gallery’s owner, Tim Collom, is a talented artist himself and regularly shows his newest pieces here too. The prime time to come to the gallery is on Second Saturday between 6−9pm. It’s usually pretty popular on those nights, so be prepared for a crowd. If you’re interested in a quieter gallery experience, the gallery is open 11a-6p Tues-Saturday. **The gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.** The Gallery is located on 20th St. between I & J Streets. 20th Street tends to be closed off on Second Saturdays between I and J, so I always recommend parking on or near 20th St. between G and I Streets. The building that houses the gallery also includes a second, interior design business that is fun to peruse as well. Overall, be sure to make Tim Collom Gallery one of your stops, especially during Second Saturday. You might even see the photos of yours truly on display from August 10-Sept. 7, 2013.

This is a great gallery, quirky with nice staff. When we went, they had the center part of the room roped off and done up as a living room, complete with sleeping dog on the couch!
