Sun-Up Market

I love this place… for the most part. It’s my local bodega. The staff is great and the cheap wine selection makes my day… or night, rather. Much improved over the previous owner. I would give it 5 stars except for one very aggrivating thing! It’s never open when it should be! What’s the point of posting hours if you’re not going to stick to them?! It ALWAYS closes early. On way too many occasions I get there before they say they close and am met with a dark, locked up, and closed store with me and many neighbors out front, money in hand, wondering why it’s already closed. This happens at least twice a week! I can only imagine how much money they are missing out on! I don’t go early morning often but I hear the same thing happens then too! So many people missing out on their morning red bulls and evening bottles of barefoot! I say this with love, but PLEASE STICK TO YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION OR CHANGE THEM! I’m only posting this to let them know the issue in hopes it will change. If you’re in the area well before closing this is the spot to go to.

On the surface it’s just your friendly, neighborhood corner store but head to the back and check out the beer selection! Lots of variety in the way of wines, snacks and basic essentials as well. The clerks who run the store are relatively friendly as well. This is my go-​to liquor store/​corner store.

Awesome beer selection, which varies throughout the season. Cool laid back owners who know the neighborhood. They do have a bunch of random things you would typically need at reasonable prices.

Always seems to have everything I need which is amazing for how small it is! Great little neighborhood market.
