Remember when you were a kid, and you tried every sugary confection to get that snap, crackle, & pop feeling in your mouth ? This is the adult version of that. There are a variety of different flavors of the snow bubble. It’s a wonderful blizzard in your mouth. Strawberry is my favorite. It’s just sweet enough to remind me of the now & later flavor mmmm yum! Then with the added boba… They are these squeeshy(Darci-ism) beads of childhood delight. Chewy, gooey, explosions of goodness. Enjoyable anytime of the year!

Tea tastes fresh and pops with flavor, should stay with drinks because the food leaves something to be desired

Wonderful staff. They are extremely patient, helpful, informative and accommodating! I came here with my friends from church after attending the Women of Faith Conference at the Sleep Train Arena(practically next door). My friend wanted Boba and to be honest, all I wanted was a bathroom. I am not a huge Boba person(so, I thought). However, this place was inviting, clean and the people were so nice — so I decided to try it. And I am SOLD on it! — If you know what I mean. I loved it. It was refreshing, tasty and fun to drink. I had the Mocha Latte with the Large Tapioca Pearls. Yum! So if you are in the area I definitively recommend this place! If you are at the arena — please don’t waste your time in a long line waiting for a restroom at the end of the event … simply drive up the street to this place for a clean restroom, a refreshing drink and sit at a table to relax while you wait on traffic to slow down.

Drinks are okay. Food is not really great if we’re holding it to the tapex standard I am used to in the bay area

This is an update: So I recently went back in to give it another shot. May i just say they must of done something different. The atmosphere was a lot better. The drinks were tasty and quick. The service was honestly probably one of the best service I’ve had from them. I don’t know what made them change but I’m back to being a fan. I gave them 4 stars only because I haven’t had any of their snacks again yet. But I can only hope they are good.

Great pit stop for boba drinks! I love their Taro milk tea, and their Thai tea! Their boba is always chewy and yummy – never hard. :) They have seasonal fresh fruit smoothies/drinks. The watermelon one was BOMB! OMG delicious. It was fresh, no artificial flavoring added! Definitely would recommend! Have tried their chi chi fries – They are AMAZING! Fries, topped with a cheese, a chili sauce, and fried popcorn chicken. I just wish the french fries were crispier? Their soft and cooked… but a little more crisp would put the cherry on top. ;)

I love coming to this Tap Ex. My favorite drinks to get are the avocado snow bubble and the watermelon icy. Both of the flavors are extremely outstanding, you could really taste the watermelon and avocado; It’s so refreshing. The staff is also really friendly as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a hello and smile. Plus, they’re really fast at making drinks. So fast I barely have time to take a seat lol. I would even say they’re faster than Quickly so, I think Quickly’s doesn’t deserve that name ahahaha. Anyways, hands down my favorite Tap Ex and boba place.

I love this Tap Ex location. They had one in Roseville but it closed. I prefer this location though. What I love about this location is they are quick with your order. By the time I was done paying my drink was already ready. Impressively happy with that! Good job guys :) I got an ice tea with aloe, their aloe is so chunky! I LOVEIT! Their ice teas make me happy.

Cute shop that I just found out about. A lot closer to me than lollicup or boba tea house. Their original is definitely more tea flavored than milky. Not my usual«cup of tea» but I enjoyed it none the less. I also ordered one peach green tea. Same great flavor that I love. Service was okay. They had trouble answering my questions before eventually just asking me if I wanted a taste first. Will I be back? Maybe if I’m in the area, but I think I’ll just stick to my usual joints.

Hands down, worst Tapioca Express location I’ve been to. Since this is one of two places to grab boba in Natomas, it deserves 2 stars. First off, the tea is just not up to par with their other locations. All drinks seem bland, especially plain teas such as green tea. Their jasmine milk tea also doesn’t measure up. They definitely skimp on portions for fried snacks. Their portions are half of what I usually get at tapex locations. Today when I came in, I got 2 drinks, popcorn chicken and fish balls. They gave us two big straws. I asked for a small straw because of personal preference. When we were about to leave after seasoning our snacks, a worker asked if we were going use the extra big straw we were given and asked for it back. LOL, WHAT? This is the first time ANY bobarista has ever asked me that. Kind of ridiculous. Um, go to quicklys down the street. Their portions are huge!

Came here after Zumba class on Tuesday. Plus my nieces have been bugging me to come here every Tuesday. It was so hot that day I gave in. Me and two of the youngest girls had the watermelon icy… man, so refreshing and yummy. I love that they use real watermelon instead of the powder. My oldest niece had the Honeydew with small tapioca balls, because she’s adventurous like that. They also give out a stamp card. You get a stamp for every drink you buy. If you buy 10 drinks you get your 11th one free. I keep losing my card. I think I have about 3 free drinks already. Now just gotta find them.

Came with an entertainment coupon and immediately noticed how much bigger the menu was than the Roseville location. Service was much faster too and they don’t seem to be out of everything. My almond mocha milk tea was awesome and different. Will be back!

The hot weather makes me want to jump into a pool of smoothie. Ugh! This is the only Boba place within the complex. Might as well try it. The place is spacious and clean. They have few tables and chairs. The interior is a bit disorganized. I don’t know what vibe they are going for. They will definitely need to hire an interior designer to upgrade the style or at least have a style most especially that it is a chill place. You will be welcomed by a variety of drinks they offer. Milk tea, Tea, Snow Bubble, Icy, Juice, Soda, Coffee. Name it! They have it on the board. They have snacks to partner your drinks too. I ordered the Watermelon Icy with Tapioca which is the drink for the day and it did not disappoint. You can really taste the watermelon and it blends well with the Tapioca. It doesn’t taste artificial like some flavorings. It is so refreshing! We stayed there for awhile to cool off. There was a long line at some point but they were able to make the orders really fast. Very efficient! Overall, it was good and I will be back here for sure to try on their other drinks.

Good location in Natomas the only real boba place in this area! It’s next to many restaurants such as Bangkok garden(excellent Thai food) and CF Cheng(best Chinese food in Natomas). There is also a mountain mikes, Mel’s dinner, and Kobe sushi. Tap ex has a good variety of drink selections such as snow bubble, slushy, milk tea, and coffee. They also have snacks such as the popular popcorn chicken and deep fried fish ball. However, this location does not taste as good as the tapioca express on Stockton blvd in south sac! The drinks at the south sac location taste fresher and less artificial. This is a decent sized place with board games and free wifi for your entertainment. Service is pretty good and you get a complimentary drink on your birthday. They also have stamp cards where you buy so many drinks you get one free when you fill it out completely. If you are in the area and feeling boba, give it a try!

Absolutely WORST place for boba to go. I believe in giving places chances to fix mistakes but I have never received countless amounts of horrible customer service and poor quality products from the SAME place. Let me begin. The first time I went with my aunt, we asked for popcorn chicken that was listed on their snacks section. They exclaimed they didn’t have any so we tried a week later, same problem. We decided to go more times in hopes that they would have it but nope! Same problem, EACHANDEVERYSINGLETIME. Just recently, I came back because my cousin wanted some boba drinks and it was near by. We were waiting for a graduation. Me and my cousin ordered a mocha milk tea and popcorn chicken, my boyfriend ordered a Thai tea, and my aunt a taro slush. Me and my cousins mocha was AWFUL. It tasted nothing like coffee or let alone chocolate. It tasted like watered down chocolate milk! To which my cousin asked to exchange after taking a sip but they rudely refused and rolled their eyes. Then I tried my aunts taro slush. Her taro tasted like a pure blended ice with no flavor; the only flavor was the tapioca pearls that was in her drinks. They didn’t give my cousin any dipping sauce with his popcorn chicken even after he asked. If you are looking for rude, poor quality service and products, then be my guest to come here! They never have anything we ask for and never fails to be rude. You’d expect after several different visits that they would work on their mistakes but no. Even consulting to the store manager was a horrid experience!!! I’d give this place negative stars if that was possible. DONOTCOMEHERE.

I’ve frequented this place on a number of occasions now and it is such a blessing to have boba nearby lol. It’s really just okay, but it is now my local boba shop, and I found the tea that is done right for me here… okinawa milk tea haha I wouuuuuld give it 5, but there were a couple times when I’d come in and their kitchen was closed. Since then I don’t think I’ve gotten food from here.

I like their options, but not a lot where offered at this location. It doesn’t make sense to me to have a menu up when you can’t offer them. An employee stated, «We don’t have those, only some locations have them. And other locations may not have them but other places have them.» And my response, «Ummmm. ok. Give me a sec then, because what I wanted originally, you don’t have. How about this one?» And she says, «We don’t have that either.» My response, «Ummm. ok… I’ll have the customer go behind me first, since I don’t know what to get yet.» Aside with the options available to me, I would say, how about trim down ½ the menu that YOUDONTOFFER, and Leave the ones up that you offer… It will sure help me cut down in time to decide which tapioca drinks you do offer and leave out the ones that you don’t. Namm sayinn. Thank god it isn’t summer yet, or this place would be slammed in inefficiency and will turn customers away with the lack of options of this venue to have such a big list that they don’t even offer ½ of it and is still posted up on the menu to the general public.

I am a regular at the Tapioca Express in Roseville where I always order the same thing: fresh watermelon juice and fried tofu. When I came in tonight they told me the watermelon juice is seasonal(fair enough) and that fried tofu is not on the menu at this location(bummer). I was told the only fresh fruit options are grapefruit juice and avocado, so ordered grapefruit juice with boba. It wasn’t too bad, but was also not something I would order again. They didn’t have many vegetarian snacks available, but I did notice that they had veggie egg rolls, so decided to order those. They ended up being really good and are definitely something I would recommend if you find yourself here. I won’t be coming back though because I need more fresh fruit options to choose from and not having fried tofu on the menu is a deal breaker.

Whenever I stop by a Milk Tea/Boba drink shop, I am always faced with a tough decision: Taro or Thai Tea. I literally stand there for 10 minutes glancing over the menu telling myself to try something else, but I always come back to Taro or Thai Tea. I have dealt with that struggle for years. Until Tapioca Express created a drink that changed my boba world — Taro thai tea. Is this real life? I couldn’t believe that my two favorite flavors collided into an epic swirl of deliciousness. I order this with small tapioca pearls which somehow enhances the drink. With so many drink varieties, it can be overwhelming to try different mixes. That is just part of the fun! There are different drink types, from snowbubbles, icys, milk tea or frosty milk. Pair these with unique jellies such as lychee, tapioca pearls, grass jelly or mango. So many combinations to experience! The tapioca pearls are consistently cooked well and are not too chewy or soft. The service is quick, friendly and polite. While waiting for my order, I usually look at the wall with local business cards. Thumbs up for supporting small businesses! Don’t forget to ask for the rewards card: You get one stamp for each drink you order. The 11th drink is free. Come into the shop on your birthday to get a free drink too! With all these promos, why would you not stop by? Looking forward to my next visit to add a couple more stamps to my card!

I was in the area, so I decided to stop in and try this place. I have visited the Gilroy location of Tapioca Express. I accessed their Unilocal page to check out the menu, to see if there was another drink that I wanted to try. At their Gilroy location I had got a Strawberry Yogurt and Caramel Milk Tea. The Caramel Milk Tea wasn’t so great in Gilroy, so I decided to go with the Strawberry Yogurt, which was on their online menu. I went to the counter and placed my order. The girl looked at me and said, we don’t serve yogurt. At first, I thought maybe I was ordering the drink by the wrong name so I pulled out my Unilocal and brought up their online menu. The cashier again told me that they did not make those. She told me that they are a franchise and not all locations serve the same thing. I get that, but shouldn’t the online menu reflect that??? I mean, why is it on the menu if you do not serve it. I should note that they also had menus on their counter, but with a sign saying that the menu was not up to date and to inquire with an employee. Here’s an idea… just take the menus off of the counter, or make the necessary changes!!! Anyways, I decided to go with a Strawberry Snow Bubble & Taro Snow Bubble with mini pearls. The wait time was decent. There was about 6 people working behind the counter, which seemed weird for a Sunday afternoon. The Strawberry drink tasted like it was made with artificial sweetener, GROSS!!! I think that if places are going to make products with sweetener, they should note that in the description. I hate artificial sweetener and as a rule I will not order a drink that is made with it. The Taro drink however was really good. I had never had Taro flavor before, but I see a fellow Unilocaler friend of mine always posting her Taro drinks. The flavor was really mellow and creamy. I am not a boba/pearl/jelly expert and so I am not entirely sure as to how the boba texture is supposed to be. They were a little chewy, and too many for my liking. Every drink I would take, I got a mouth full of boba. I might return here if in the area, due to the convenience of the location and for the Taro drink.
