This is great coffee. I prefer it to Starbucks. I live nearby and find it fast and convenient. Parking isn’t all that great but I can grab s few groceries if needed at the same time.

There are many times when you’re in a rush or there’s a long line and people are irritated and it rubs off on you, but at the Peet’s Coffee in Raley’s, there was a lot of people in line and the seating area with one server who was so sweet and checked in on everyone. She was an older lady who was fast and efficient. She made my medium White Chocolate Mocha to perfection and kept it at a perfect temperature so it wasn’t too hot to first sip and didn’t get cold too fast. The seating area is warm and inviting and spaced out enough between tables that people aren’t right in your face and you can have your own study space or have a relaxing time. The only thing I do have to say is make sure to have at least two people working so they can help each other when there is a rush. I will definitely be coming back to this Peet’s in the future.

I’ve always been hanging around and doing homework in peet’s because of its inviting environment. I never actually bought anything from there so I decided to get a frap or whatever its called. I was kind of disappointed because no one took my order for a good 5 minutes or more. I even had to go back to my seat because I really thought no one was gonna help me out. After a while, someone finally took my order and said sorry for the wait. I had no problem with that. They might have been understaffed. Anyway, I got a vanilla frap which was good. I can’t even tell the difference with starbucks. Other than my sluggish experience, this particular frap is something I’m gonna get again next time. I just hope their staffed adequately.

Love how convenient it is to have this little shop inside a local grocery store. Always clean, updated and nice looking. I’ve never had an issue with my orders here. Rarely ever have to wait for longer than a few minutes for my drink, they are super fast and efficient. Ms. Hattie has been working here for as long as I can remember and is always a joy to be served by her. Always great service overall from anyone working there!

This Peets Coffee situated inside Raleys does not take Peets gift cards :’(I was also told they don’t even brew Peets Coffee– they brew Nob Hill(Raleys Brand). Huge disappointment all around as I now work in the same plaza.

Hattie is always cheerful & friendly & is always working doing something, whether helping a customer or stocking. If there’s a customer that needs help, she drops what she’s doing tp help them. It’s her customer service that will keep me coming back.

While on vacation in the area we stopped in for some iced drinks. Vanessa was very helpful and accommodated our needs to use almond milk(family of 5) as she got busier she was«cool and calm» and acknowledged everyone in line saying she’d be right with them. She asked for help from a co-worker to move things along. She should move and work in my town and show them how awesome customer service should be!

I love Peets and I love Raleys AND I love Peets INSIDE of Raleys! The best part about this Peets is that you can use your Raleys card for free coffee! Yes, that’s right. Swipe your Raleys card any time you buy a coffee at this Peets location and it adds up. After you have purchased, I want to say 9 coffees, your 10th is free! What’s better than free?! They also have free wifi, which, is pretty much a standard practice for any/all coffee shops at this point. They have decent seating, both indoors and outdoors, as long as you don’t mind listening to grocery store shoppers. The only thing that I don’t care for about this location is that they haven’t gotten on the bandwagon of the other Peets carrying almond milk. Hopefully that will be next on the list!

Really good for a chain inside a store! I usually avoid the Starbucks or other chain within a Raleys or Target but was itching for some caffeine and tried this out awhile back. The barista was really cheery and let me sample their«new» drink– a green tea mocha. It sounded odd– two drinks that I enjoy separately but I wasn’t sold on the idea of combining them. He was convincing so I took one of their little dixie cups and was shocked at how good it tasted. I ended up getting a regular mocha from them but have definitely stored that away for future visits. I went today on an especially warm afternoon and decided on an iced mocha. I am not keen on iced coffee because most of the times the over-ice the drinks and then you are left with watered down coffee– blech. I also have a difficult time deciding on white chocolate or chocolate mochas. The white chocolate mochas at Starbucks are super sugary and I can’t handle them but the one’s at Java City and Bean Trees are ok but they do a better mocha. So depending on the shop, I will change between the two drinks. I asked the barista where Peet’s fell on the sweetness meter and she said that the white mochas were a bit sweet but not nearly as sugary as Starbucks but said that she could customize the drink(make a tuxedo) so I could get the best of both worlds. I ended up getting 2 pumps of the white chocolate and 1 pump of the chocolate. I ordered and she read it back, checking on what type of milk I wanted. It’s a small thing but most baristas are in a hurry and don’t ask but just pour in whole milk and I don’t realize my mistake until I have driven off. She also asked if I wanted foam. Come again? She explained that it was the mocha foam that ends up turning into a frothy and delicious espresso concentrate whipped cream. I added it not knowing how my Frankenstein creation would turn out. After she handed me my drink, she told me to try out the drink and the foam to make sure I liked it. I tried it and LOVED it. She totally nailed it and the foam addition was amazing. The only reason it is 4⁄5 is because it can’t beat Bean Trees. It is definitely a 5⁄5 in terms of coffee shops within a grocer but in terms of general coffee houses, it falls just short of Bean Trees. You should definitely try them out the next time you get groceries.

I’ve had some business meetings in the Natomas Park area so it’s given me an opportunity to check out what’s new in the area. Looks like the economy’s on the mend out here — some new ethnic restaurants to sample. But on to Peet’s. This particular location of the large-chain coffee store is located inside a large-chain grocery store. Entonces, you won’t get the same used-brick, gritty urban vibe whilst you’re waiting for your brew. The flip side of that is that you can grab something out of the store bakery(conveniently adjacent) and pay for all your items at once at the Peet’s register. Cool. There’s a generous(though not particularly cozy) seating area in which to savor your coffee and wolf down your pastry. Raley’s has also provided a separate entrance/exit for Peet’s. Wireless is free.

Love Peets, but will make the extra trip to go to a real Peets as opposed to here. Came in to get my beloved matcha green tea latte to find out they were out of matcha, the way the worker did it was rude. So I got a masala chai latte which was gross, she was not only rude but a horrid baristas. I understand its super bowl Sunday and near closing, but that’s no excuse. After getting rung up I noticed a sign stating if you buy two drinks you get a thrid free, we brought it up and she rudely says you have to do it on the same purchase and there’s nothing I can do about it. I really should of got her manager. PLEASE don’t go here, travel down to 19th or 20th and have a real Peet’s experience.

Attention Raley’s shoppers! Your favorite Land Park(ish) grocery store has recently befitted itself with its very own Peet’s brand coffee stand! You can find this stand way in the back left corner of the supermarket, behind the health food section, behind the deli, behind the bakery. Now you can have your freshly brewed Peet’s coffee and buy your cruddy storebrand grounds, too! You know, like having your cake and eating it too. Or eating it and having it too. That would make more sense. As you wait for your high-brow beverage, you will find within your vicinity shelves upon shelves of tempting and delectable Raley’s baked goods. Classic items, such as «frosted sprinkled sugar cookies», «plain croissants», and everyone’s favorite, «glazed donuts», all packaged in beautiful see-through plastic containers. Zoinks! So come one, come all, to the illustrious Peet’s-in-back-of-a-Raley’s. I shall see you there potentially!
