For most departments, this store is good to very good. The seafood and meat departments are knowledgeable and pleasant. Produce seems to be priced a bit high so I generally shop the farmer’s markets for a lot of my needs, but it is usually good quality. The cashiers and courtesy clerks are friendly and bag groceries correctly. The store is clean. The biggest drawback to this store is the pharmacy. They are frequently out of the needed medicines, including some very common medications. Further, they don’t tell you this until you return to the store to pick up your medication and never, ever attempt to locate the medication for you at a different Raley’s pharmacy. The s/o fills several prescriptions per month and does the automated service. Raley’s pharmacy runs about 50 percent in having them filled in two days. They have never contacted him about any problems prior to his returning to the store. They also have a poor track record about filling prescriptions after hospital discharge. If you have surgery and need pain medication after surgery, choose a different pharmacy. This one feels it is no problem to wait a couple of days.

I’m bumping up my rating for this place. The gal working the floral and balloon section on the late morning of 5÷25÷16 was great. She delivered great customer service and worked pretty quickly to make the special graduation bouquets without compromising on the direct customer service. I even asked her opinion on the colors for my bouquet. She gave great suggestions. I was outta of there pretty quickly with a great looking balloon bouquet. Wonderful 5 star experience with her. I was kinda disappointed that the other staff didn’t provide assistance in the floral department. There were 3 boxes of flowers and 2 boxes of leis that were there prior to my arrival. But if she is making walk up special arrangements; why didn’t anyone come to help her take the flowers out and place them in the cooler? Hey it’s graduation day with back to back ceremonies at Sleep Train Arena.

The store was always very clean airy, and had an oganic feeling to it. We dont have one in SF(that I know of) so it was nice to have the Safeway experience. Everyone was nice and very helpful.

I ordered my sons cupcake cake here. Ordering the cake was easy and fast, the workers are friendly. The cake looked great, I loved it. The only thing was that the cupcakes weren’t moist. And if you choose to do this type of cake you can only choose from 2 flavored, chocolate and vanilla, or both. I wouldn’t order this type of cake here anymore but I would something else.

This review is strictly for the customer service desk(even though I’m pretty sure that everything else at this store is equally amazing). As I’ve mentioned in a previous review, my fiancé runs a small business that requires us to ship large amounts of orders via USPS(and occasionally UPS). In the past I’ve received mixed reviews from USPS clerks and grocery store clerks, who have had the pleasure of adding postage to our merchandise. However, I have not experienced customer service outside of AMAZING from any of the employees that work the Customer Service desk at this location. Recently I brought in 16 manila envelopes that needed to be marked with postage. Granted I generally always bring our packages already marked with the address and packaged, it’s still a very tedious(and time consuming) job to manually enter each address for each package. On some occasions, I require the use of a fixed rate priority shipping box. On these occasions, the clerk working has gone out of their way to assist me with placing my merchandise in the box and taping it shut. I know you’re probably thinking, «what’s the big deal, that’s their job.» However, I personally have never received this level of customer service from an actual USPS office. If you don’t believe me, do a comparison with the Raley’s Customer Service desk vs. the USPS Office located on Gateway Park Blvd. I would like to shout out Virginia, Emily, Daleen, Penny, Lacy, and Ashley(please forgive me if I left out any customer service clerks that may have assisted me). Your great customer service(and smiles) does not go unnoticed!

I hate shopping in a store where I feel the theft prevention program is more important than the paying customer. It makes me uncomfortable to be followed. I have been shopping at Raley’s since 1985(Chico, Roseville, Natomas) and I will not shop at the Natomas store again where I now live or any Raley’s after calling the corporate office with my concerns about my experience. My grocery budget is about $ 200 a week. I also buy pet food, pet supplies, pharmacy items, prescriptions, cleaning products and other necessities monthly. I am a professional and make about 30% more than the family median income in Sacramento(my salary-not including my spouses). In other words, I have a decent income and a secure budget for the past 25 years. Raley’s has lost a long time loyal customer. I will not shop in a store where I am treated like a thief. Raley’s needs to buy cameras or give better training to their theft prevention clerks. I can assure you as 53 year old female professional is not interested in shoplifting and ruining her career. Raley’s has lost about $ 6000 a year(minimum)from me multiplied by 20 years-$ 120,000 or more. Good Job Raley’s! Go catch a thief and recoup the money you lost from me.

Love this neighborhood jewel! It’s better than all the others in the area! They have a ton of extra specialty items that the other stores do not. It’s super clean and the customer service is great. Always busy and there is not much parking but always my number one go to.

I love shopping at Raley’s. They always have excellent service. The workers are friendly and smiling, I like that they bag your grocers for you and even offer to bng them out to your car. I’m writing this review because I came in for some heavy cream and there was none left on the shelf so I saw a gentleman restocking the vegetables and he stopped what he was doing and went in the back and found what I was looking for and grabbed something else for anther woman who was also looking for something th at didn’t happen to be stocked on the shelves. Good luck even finding an employee on the floor to help you at Walmart or something lol. He was so sweet I wish I could have remembered his name and gave him some credit.

The store is perfect. The remodel had made a huge difference! I’ve been shopping at this store since it first opened,(I was invited to the pre public opening) and I’ve seen the changes. This change is awesome. Aside from the much need interior face lift, there is amazing food! From self serve salad bar, to inviting hot food bar, deli department, not to mention a pretty tasty bakery selection. What’s really awesome is the pre made sandwich, and assorted deli foods right across from the bakery. Yes, the deli counter is still there, and you can still order a sandwich made to your liking! The pre made section is filled with a variety of grab n go foods. Plus, the store added drinks! Yes! You no longer have to walk to the other side of the store when grabbing a quick bite. Score! The natural food section is enhanced, as well as, organized near the pharmacy. This layout is so much better. The produce section has amazing cooling sections, so you know that you’re buying great food. The variety truly doesn’t compare to anywhere else. Yes, you’ll pay for the upgrade. The Raleys chain is known for quality. This is the best store in the north Natomas area! Stop by, and check it out. If you have little ones with you, the bakery is happy to offer a free cookie to them(with parental approval) The icing on the proverbial cake… The baggers will still take your groceries to your car, and put them in your car! Who doesn’t enjoy that service ? Great store!

Remodeled few months ago, and the new store looks nice! Looks super new, well-stocked, clean inside, great customer service. Lines aren’t long. Inside, there’s a tricounties bank, POSTOFFICE, peets coffee and coin star for your convenience. One stop stop. I do my grocery shopping here(or Safeway down the street), bc there’s a good drycleaners, shell gas station etc in the shopping center too. Raleys isn’t known for cheap prices, but it’s good when they they have sales.

This used to be one of the best Raley’s in the chain. However, corporate management decided to nearly ruin it with a remodel and reorganization of, well, everything. This location had a dedicated Natural Foods section. It made it so easy to shop for the foods I wanted and ignore all the junkier foods. It was conveniently located next to the produce section. It also was a very pretty store, especially the natural foods section. Now that the remodel is complete, it is clear to see that«integration» is the new keyword(i.e., mix everything together to force customers to wander through the store). It also is obvious what the big money makers are: wine and spirits on the right side of the store, and personal care and beauty products on the left. In fact, it’s almost hard to find the food, since it’s hidden away back behind everything else cluttering up the(formerly wonderful) flow of the store. Please understand that this is not just sour grapes over change. The nearby Safeway did a remodel on a similar scale some months ago, and it was a major improvement. I love change… when it works. This is a case where something that really worked well has been thrown into chaos for no good reason other than profit margins. Even the staff working there dislikes the changes. I promised I wouldn’t name any names, but I have spoken with several of them, and most of them when pressed(while attempting not to overtly complain) have made clear their skepticism about the new layout. It’s only been 3 weeks since it was finished, but it’s clear to everyone that this decision looked better on paper in the boardroom than it does in the store. The appearance of the store is bad now, too. I can’t remember exactly what the old décor looked like. It was neutral, bland really, but it kept the focus on the products on the shelves. Now, there are bold words and colors all screaming at your eyes for your attention. I don’t think I’ve ever looked up above the shelves as much as I did today in the store. Everywhere I looked, some weird boardroom sanctioned, legal-reviewed, advertising slogan(in other words, meaningless hype) catches the eye. The shelves themselves are all mismatched. I guess they match within departments, but the departments all run into each other in such a haphazard way as to make the entire store look cluttered and confusing. The old layout was very logical and cohesive. The store now looks like it’s bloated with all sorts of(non-grocery) stuff that probably gets into battles each night when the lights turn off, and sort of get back into position just before the lights turn back on. I have not been to other Raley’s and Bel Airs that have undergone such transformations. I am a little afraid to now, to be honest. If all the stores are this bad, I think it likely spells the end of a once great grocery chain. The one thing that hasn’t changed: terrific employees who seem to genuinely enjoy helping you. For example, the main check stands weren’t open yet(odd), so the cashier took me over to the self-check and scanned my items for me. I was a rather surprised and a little amused, but I really appreciated it since there were more items in my cart than what a reasonable person normally would self-check. I hope that the store layout improves with a little more time. However, I no longer enjoy the shopping experience there. It feels more like a Grocery Outlet than a Raley’s, and I truly hate shopping at Grocery Outlet. I guess Safeway just became my #1 local grocery store, at least for the time being.

Other than Safeway, Raleys is the only supermarket in the Natomas Park area. As such, if you live here you shop at one or the other unless you want to make the long drive through 15 stop lights to Bel Air. Recently, the Natomas Raley’s started a much needed face lift. Along with freshening up the décor and adding some prepared food options, the main objective appears to be the expansion of the liquor department from two aisles to four. This will undoubtably come at the cost of losing some grocery or non-food items. I can remember when Raleys carried auto, camera, garden, sports, and many other items, but now you have to drive all the way to WalMart if you want anything other than food or liquor. Another recent brainstorm from the West Sacramento corporate office was to add self serve hot food and salad bar counters as part as the remodel. Having watched fhe local residents help themselves to donuts, sandwiches, and candy without paying for years, I cringed when I saw the salad bar going in because food theft in this store is pretty much wide open. On the first day it was open, I happened to be near the bakery and watched one of the locals shuffle past the salad bar, stick his hand into the container of croutons, then walk away munching on his free snack. If you go to this store, do not buy a donut or eat from tbe salad bar because you can pretty much bet someone’s hands have been on your food. With that said, the employees here are friendly, helpful, and hard working. The senior management just needs to wake up and stop pretending that Natomas is the Hamptons.

This Raley’s is a bit of a mess due to some major construction they’re in the process of doing. No tile on the floors, empty shelves, etc which is understandable. I came here to pick up a couple items and their self check out wouldn’t scan a little pre packaged pasta that I had picked up. Overall not a huge deal but I’d rather drive the extra mile to Safeway.

I’ve been to this Raley’s location several times and think it’s a good spot if you have a reason to be in this area of Natomas. It’s located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and is a nice and clean store. I like that they open at 6 a.m. for early birds like me. As a vegetarian, I appreciate that they have an aisle dedicated to healthier groceries including several vegan and vegetarian products. I’ve even seen several raw foods in dehydrated form sold here! I mainly pick up things like yogurt and oatmeal to eat back at my office. You also can get a sandwich made at 6 a.m., but the fresh bread might not be ready yet and you might have to flag someone down from behind the deli while they are doing other morning prep work. There is also a Peet’s location inside of this Raley’s if you want to get coffee and are in a hurry. If you live in Natomas or have a reason to be here this is not a bad place to find yourself at.
