I called several local door shops in Sacramento and was unable to reach anyone. I left messages but calls weren’t returned in a timely manner. When one person finally did call back, they didn’t really seem interested in providing the information I needed for the variety of items I wanted to order. I was starting to panic because we were in the middle of repairs and the lack of service could delay construction.
Then through Unilocal,I stumbled upon The Window and Door Shop on Bell Street off Arden Way. What a lucky find and what a different response! Phone calls are returned promptly by Diane and Troy. They took an interest in providing excellent service even though my job was tiny in comparison to others.
I needed guidance on what to order to fit our needs: 2 bathroom windows with reeded glass to stand up to moisture in the bathroom; a good quality reeded glass pocket door to match; a custom pair of doors for a closet; plus a new, pre-​hung, solid core door for the bedroom. Diane worked diligently to inform me of options and her recommendations with everything on my shopping list. With her knowledgeable guidance and input, I was able to make the right choices (love the Milgard Essence casement windows) and stay on schedule. She was so patient with all of my questions plus extremely knowledgeable about brands, features, quality, installation, and just about anything else that came up. She asked all the right questions to insure that I purchased the right product with the right specifications for the job.
It was a pleasure working with Diane. We are looking forward to working with her again on window replacement and exterior doors in the near future. You couldn’t ask for nicer people or better service.

We live in Los Angeles and needed to replace all the windows and sliding glass doors at our house, plus we wanted to install 3 Sun Tunnels. My dad, who lives in Sacramento, suggested The Window and Door Shop, and I’m SO glad he did! Warren consistently bid competitively, and his service was head and shoulders above the rest. My contractor didn’t know that a couple of the windows weren’t up to code, and Warren noticed this and saved us from ordering the wrong items. He patiently walked me through all the handings for the windows and doors, and he was so conscientious in making sure our large and confusing order was 100% right. In addition, he worked with the suppliers to expedite shipping to ensure that our orders were delivered as soon as possible. I have ordered things from Home Depot before, and it’s like night and day. The guys at HD are disorganized, clueless, and so difficult to reach. Warren’s prices were comparable, but his service was stellar, and it made all the difference in the world. I can’t recommend Warren highly enough!

19 windows and 3 doors all Marvin Ultimate replacement. Warren worked hard at getting me exactly what I wanted. He made suggestions caught possible mistakes and didn’t mine my constant revisions. I found the prices to be the best in town for my desired specs. I would have given him 5 stars if he caught my mistake on the direction 2 windows open but it wasn’t his fault.
