David O., way to go on making UYE’s a thing again after our recent dry spell. I had a great time drinking beer in a warehouse full of puppies, and loved the Korean/Mexican food truck that happened to be parked outside. This was the perfect atmosphere for all of us to just sit around, catch up, and have a couple of beers.

What’s better than a cold beer on a hot day? A cold beer at Track 7 with great Unilocalers and dogs in tow, that’s what! I had never been to Track 7, even though it has been on my hit list for a while now. What a great little spot. Tucked away in an industrial area, inside of an industrial building sits several community style picnic tables, a separate room with couches and another room off to the back with even more tables and places to plug in your laptop/phone or whatever electronics you may need to stay connected! I also love the way they have their patio set up, the entire wall opens up to an outdoor area with a great food truck rolled up for some good eats! There were so many adorable dogs here to fawn over! Chulo and Sebastian sure did enjoy sniffing around and maybe throwing out a few barks here and there. They were definitely inducted into the Unilocal family right with all the love they received from this Unilocal family! The beer was super good! I was sad that they had run out of their stout, but my sadness went away after taking a sip of the Daylight Amber. Cold and refreshingly rich! Thanks to David O. for getting our UYEs back on track the right way! Thanks to Track 7 for having such a great little spot for us to mingle, drink beer and play with doggies!

I had a great time meeting everyone at this UYE: David O, Jenni T, Dominique M, Michelangelo S, Jennifer S, Alex L, Frankie P, Serena R, Angelo, Clay W, Shelby D, Michael, and definitely a few more people who I met briefly but didn’t have more time to talk too. Huge thanks to David O. for organizing this and giving me a chance to meet other Unilocalers since I’m brand new to the Sac Unilocal community. It was super awesome to meet other Unilocalers in person when we had already been Unilocal friends for months. As far as Track 7… this was a great place to hold a UYE. They serve quality craft beer that is reasonably priced and you order at the counter which makes it easy for people who are part of a large group to pay individually. They also had large tables which could accommodate large groups as well and the general atmosphere facilitates conversation. I can’t wait for the next UYE!

**Imma just shill my own event*** Dogs and cold beer make things more fun. It’s just that simple. I love meeting some new Unilocalers like Shelby and Regina(who was my mysterious Unilocal friend from Indiana, now in Sacramento). I should cut myself off at 2 delicious 7% beers. Thank you.

HUMPDAY! Whoop Whoop! Big THANKYOU to David for organizing this great official unofficial Unilocal event! Great brewery, great location, great timing and great turnout combining many of my favorite things: 1. Drinking 2. Eating 3. Hanging with other Unilocalers And 4. DOGS! I really had a great time hanging out with everyone who showed up: Regina, Dominique, Dominique’s dogs, David, Michelangelo, Ang, Jennifer, Frankie, Alex, Shelby, Mike, Serena, Clay and all the other Unilocalers I didn’t have a chance to meet but wish I did! I would say that we should nominate David to be the official UYE planner, but I think I remember us taking an unofficial vote last night and Dominique was up next. Can’t wait! :D

Track Seven Hits It Out Of The Park SITREP David O. managed to quickly rustle up a UYE this week to be hosted at Track Seven Brewing Co. It did not disappoint! THESETUP Located off of Freeport Blvd near City College, this somewhat tucked away little brewery is a classic find for the brew-lover and hosts a wide variety of ales. THESAMPLERMENU I enjoyed starting out with their sampler menu that allows for 4– 3 oz pours in a glass that you get to keep for $ 10. I pulled the trigger on that deal and enjoyed the following samples: * The Left Eye /Right Eye Double I.P.A. — very rich and refreshing with a hoppy flavor * The Belgian Pale Ale — a crisp pale ale that left me wanting more of this * The Big Four — very deep, full bodied ale with a bitter aftertaste * The Daylight Ale — crisp, light, refreshing, so much so I had another pint of this. THECREW It was such a fantastic turnout of Unilocalers that included old hands such as Ang, Clay, Diana, Chris, Alex, and David. The Sophomore glass of Dominique, Frances, Jenni, Serena. And we even had Freshman such as Michael, Shelby and Regina share the tables of ales with us. And many more friends and Unilocalers. PUPFRIENDLY Such a good turnout of puppies. Dominique brought her Chulo and Sebastian with her and they were yapping(or Unilocaling?) it up with the other dogs in the house. THELOWDOWN All in all it was a fantastic turnout of Unilocalers, drinking some amazing ales, giving scritches to the puppies, and enjoying a night out in South Sacramento!
