«17th Annual Sacramento Museum Day» *1st museum visit* Out of 25 museums that participated in «17th museum day» we choose ‘Verge Center for the Arts’ due to low traffic reasons and free admission =D. Actually, 80% of the museums were free today and i guess this museum just sounded cool. My friends and I arrived around 2pm(A LOT of parking) and were pleasantly surprised in what they had to offer. Supposedly this particular gallery is hailed to be an upscale approach to contemporary art and compared with New York’s premium galleries. The gallery consists of: photos, paintings, photo etchings, and a really cool COUCH exhibit. Awesome place to take your kids, friends, and if you’re a teacher a potential field trip option.

I was able to check out the new Verge space for second Saturday and had a wonderful time. The space is large, and slightly reminded me of the Sacramento Art complex, with several separate areas. The artists they had featured when I was there was very cool, very different, and offered a lot of variety. A little bit of the normal, busy second Saturday path, but a great gallery space to check out.
