Mario’s Saddle Brook Pizza

I started going to this place because it’s close to my daughters daycare and we have been loyal customers since! The owner is extremely nice and accommodating. He has gone out of his way for my mom, my daughter, and I a few times. The pizza is very tasty. I love the sauce which is just the right flavor combinations. They also make some mean stuffed breads and empanadas. The salad prices are also really reasonable! At other places you see a large chef salad for about $ 15. At this place it’s $ 9.95! I also like their wings as well. And on a Friday night, such as tonight, we order their specials. For $ 22 including tax we get a large pizza, order of wings and 2liter bottle of soda. For my family of 3 that’s just the right amount of food. We have also used them to cater work lunches and they loved it! Keep up the good work, Mario’s!

Awesome food! Everything I have ordered so far, delicious! Tuna sandwich, Grilled chicken Caesar Salad, Soup all excellent! Very friendly staff and quick service too. I recommend it to any and every one!

Good quality food, but false advertising in menu prices listed in Unilocal.Three stars because this was my first time here and came here based on Unilocal info. Actual prices in restaurant are higher.

You won’t find better pizza in Saddle Brook than Mario’s, and overall everything on the menu is worth trying. The people working there are very friendly and patient. What prevented me from awarding Mario’s 5 stars is the amount of time is usually takes to get a delivery. There have been a few occasions where it’s taken over an hour to get my food (on a Tuesday afternoon!), with absolutely no apology or explanation. Other than that, this place is top notch.

Very good food, and wonderful owner & staff. We always feel comfortable and welcomed here. It’s also the only place I know in area where we can get Argentinian style pizza, as well as regular NY style. Everyone in my family has a favorite dish at Mario’s. The salads are big and delicious. We always leave full!

Friendly people, generous portions, reasonable prices. The sitting area is very limited though so is not suitable for larger parties. Would recommend for anybody in the area looking for a quick meal

Excellent attention, people in there are very friendly, I customized my sandwich and was delicious, the empanadas are amazing and the mayonnaise with garlic is just perfect. I always come here and always bring friends… And they always came back.

I drove by here very randomly & I’m so glad I did. We ordered a sub & buffalo wings. Buffalo wings didn’t have that buffalo sauce on their wings but IT WAS SO GOOD. Their homemade garlic mayo sauce was super delicious!!! I will def be back!

Great food and service! Delicious salads, steak sandwich, empanadas, just to name a few of my favorites… This place is a must try!

Im a big fan of the sangwidges here to be honest with you.
I normally go for the grilled chicken sandwich. Its a simple sandwich grilled chicken, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion. That being said the chicken is cooked fresh for your sandwich and not reheated which is great.
The other sandwich is the lomito sandwich. Steak topped off with an egg. This sandwich is filling.
The empanadas and calzones are really good as well.
Finally down to the pizza. I like the pizza here. The sauce is tasty with a big of twang and sweetness which is nice. The pizza is cooked how you asked. I like my pizza well done so i ask for well done and it gets done. well. done. The dough is flavorful as well. not just a dull piece of bread under there.
The bread is always fresh and the staff is friendly. This is my go to pizza place in the area.

The only downfall of this entire establishment is that there isnt a lot of seating.
It may be a pizzeria but they have a lot more to offer than simply pizza.
Dont get me wrong the pizza and stromboli are great but there are other options that are also great if you want a little change of pace.
First the Lomito Steak sandwich special.
Fresh steak, cooked just the way I ordered with an egg, sounds crazy but its awesome. Comes with fries and a drink and its roughly $ 10 if I remember correctly.
This sandwich could easily feed 2 people, but if you want to get a little something extra just in case, go with the empanadas.
If this doesnt seem quite in your ballpark, go with a classic grilled chicken sandwich. Put dressing on it or dont either way it will be good. The chicken is marinated and tastes fantastic.
Aside for the food, service is always great. Timely and pleasant is the best way to describe the service. Even during the lunch and dinner rushes they still make it through the crowd as quickly as possible.

One of the few local places I had never tried and gave a chance to this weekend. First off I ordered a well done pie like I always do from everywhere else and they messed that up because it was definitely not well done at all. The sauce tasted a little sweet to me so that was the second thing that I wasn’t a fan of. Delivery time was just decent, it was on Saturday granted but I’m literally around the corner and it took about an hour. On a good note, the garlic knots were airy and delicious, I am a huge fan of them and they definitely nailed those. Too many better pizza places locally to order Mario’s again, should’ve stuck to the spots I’m used to.

Pizza is very good. Despite what some have to say, it really is worth checking out. If you’ve had a bad slice or pie in the past, I’d recommend just having a fresh start and ordering from them again. Another thing that is worth ordering is the garlic knots. They come in your choice of either 6 or 12. At first glance you’d think there’s no way they can hold so much flovor, but they do. As for the menu, the only thing we’ve had so far was the empanadas, which were good too.
The one flaw that I found has nothing to do with food or service… it’s actually the location. Don’t get me wrong, it’s decent, but here’s the problem I most likely always encounter. Parking… especially the spot in the front. If you make the mistake of pulling nose in, you’re going to have a hard time backing out since Market Street is always busy. The lot on the side and behind get shared with Harbor Freight Tools, so it’s full but you’ll still find a spot or two.
Other than that… great food and great service.

Such high hopes once again dashed … really nice people, immaculate little hole in the wall place… but the pizza was only okay. My mushroom slice was decent but the sausage slice was just not good at all… almost like ground beef on top of a slice. Disappointing. Can’t get above 2.5 stars.

I’ve only had the pizza here, but it’s outstanding. If I’d sampled more of the menu, I probably would have given it a «5».
Little, unprepossessing place, in front of Harbor Freight, with really superb NY style pizza, generously (but not excessively) sauced, lots of cheese, and dynamite crisp crust.
They always have some interesting pastries by the register, too.
Not a «first-​date» place, but a definite «go-​to» for lunch or dinner if you’re not into formality.
