Mcmullen Flower Shoppe

The flowers are always beautifully arranged and we are always pleased with the arrangements. We have used Mullen Florist for all our flower needs exclusively for twenty plus (20+) years! You can trust your flowers or plants will be beautiful! We have had our Daughter’s wedding flowers, holiday flowers, birthday, anniversary and funeral flowers done by BJ and her staff. You can count this florist completely!

This is a cute mom n pop Flower shop. Located on Main Street, this hole in the wall has a little history to it. This is owned by the McMullen Family, descendants of who ever the McMullen Booth Road was named after. This family owned shop is not really a business for profit. The impression it gave me was that it’s a hobby flower shop. In a way, that’s not good since it doesn’t appear that they really need your business.
The service was O.K. and the owner, Mrs. McMullen crafted a pretty bouquet for me while sharing some history of her shop. The shop has an eclectic selection of trinkets, odds and ends. It’s almost like a treasure shop, or hoarders house. However you would like to see it. There isn’t much room to walk around in there. I think the arrangements here are better than the ones at Publix, and it’s the same price. I paid $ 12.00 for what Publix consider a «Deluxe Bouquet» for the same price. I just feel paying an actual local person helps the local economy. If you visit Starbucks across the street, give this place a visit, it is very quaint.

Teleflora routed our order to this local florist. The arrangement arrived where I work and was very pretty. I added water that day. Two days later, the small roses in the arrangement were shriveled and petals were falling off. We returned the arrangement and asked for a replacement. The replacement was delivered and again, I added water. The very next day the small roses were wilted again! As a matter of fact, many of my customers thought that the arrangement had been there for several days because of the wilting flowers. My husband returned them and the owner, an older woman, told him that they had sent out about 25 or so of these same arrangements and we were the only ones to complain. He pointed out the wilting roses, one of them with the petals hanging off and asked her if she thought it looked fine… she said yes! Unbelievable. She asked if we wanted a different arrangement since there seemed to be problems with this one. We said yes, when the 3^rd arrangement was delivered, it was basically the same one. It was delivered today and when the driver brought it in, the vase was quite hot from being in the car. We’ll see what it looks like tomorrow. In all the years I’ve received flowers, I’ve never experienced such problems with the flowers and then to add insult to injury the rudeness from the owner. We will make sure to steer clear of this business. It used to be know as B.J.‘s Flower Basket.
