Being a student at SVSU, as well as a lover of a good cheesesteak, I was excited to try this place after hearing a few recommendations. I was disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t up to par with other hoagies that I’ve enjoyed, and it certainly wasn’t worth what I paid for a sandwich, fries, and a lemonade (which was very good-Charley’s is one of those places that makes their own lemonade). I would be willing to go back and try another sub, but my first experience here was rather underwhelming. However, I would say it is worth a try. I will be back to re-​evaluate Charley’s soon.

A decent philly, having been to philly I have had superb steak sandwiches. If I was staaaaarving and had no other choice, I suppose. At the Fashion Square Mall I would definitely take it over: Sabaros, Taco Bell, or the New orleans place. But not over subway or panda house… so take that as you may.
