Great Wall of China

I have been coming here for years and always had a good experience. I always get takeout and the portions are large. It’s nothing fancy, but definitely better than Panda Express!

I wouldn’t say I’d go crazy over their food, but what I’ve had I’d always enjoyed. I’ve been here several times and I would suggest anyone who is looking for a fairly priced lunch buffet this would be the place to go.

Not the best and definitely not the worst! If you are looking for a Asian Buffett in the Saginaw area this may just be the spot for you. The food quality in this small storefront location is better than most. The food seems to be prepared fresh and is tasty. The down side to this Buffett is the selection of food. Now a days most Asian buffets have a wide variety of sushi options as well as a hibachi grill. The Great Wall, even tho reasonably priced at right around $ 10 for the lunch Buffett (including tip), is lacking in the luster of a bigger Asian buffet. There are no thrills or frills here just a solid, small and sanitary Asian Buffett.

I used to go here as a kid (yes, that’s how old it is) and it was waaay better back then from what I can remember but I don’t know, I was just a kid. it’s not as good the last few times I had it. I just get it because it’s the closest Chinese place to my parents’ house. but idk. it’s alright I guess but eh.

Food is always fresh when I go, its cute cozy Chinese buffet restaurant. but overall food is pretty good.

I am a frequent Chinese food eater and I could not believe the tasteless food they served nor could I believe the tempature of this nasty stuff. They get no stars, they were even afraid to put ice in my tea 2 thumbs down. And I still paid for my meals and this is NO SUPER BUFFET

Best flavor in town!!! Friendly owners and staff! Only wish could afford to eat out every day. Very accommodating to please you.

I would not give it a four compared to a nice sit down restaurant, but as a Chinese restaurant, its about standard. Good, decent selection, stuff your face. Lol.

I’m not big on Chinese food so I should state that upfront. However, I do like seafood dishes as well as the fried and peel and eat shrimp. We rarely go here anymore but when we do we order the buffet. Personally, I think they’re overpriced for what you get. Their buffet is limited. They offer a couple of things that other places don’t (egg foo young is one of them), but there’s another Chinese buffet right down the street with two to three times more than they have for around the same price or a little more.

The food here was over and under cooked. Sushi was lukewarm. Food at buffet was not fresh.

They advertise delivery service in an area of few choices. I placed an order for $ 13.49 online. A few minutes later the guy calls me and says «Number 1 we don’t deliver until 4:00 pm, and Number 2 delivery minimum is $ 15.00.» All helpful information when placed on your online delivery website!
Number 1: I won’t be ordering from you again.
Number 2: You are a total douche.

Our in-​laws live way out in the way out, so whenever we meet them we are forced to find a midpoint. It turns out that Great Wall of China (or as the sign inside said, the Great Wall of Saginaw) is at that middle point.
I don’t know if it was the fluorescent lighting, but the food just didn’t look too appetizing. The only veggie options were fried rice, lo mein, and green beans. So that’s what I had. It wasn’t terrible, but that might have been because I drowned it in sriracha (bonus points for the giant bottles of sriracha on every table!). The choices were really limited, even if you are a meat eater. There are only three buffet tables and one is almost solely dedicated to crappy looking desserts.
Nothing was inedible, but there was a lot that my husband wasn’t even willing to try. And with no booze to soften the harsh lighting and the entire lack of décor, there’s just no reason to recommend that you go here unless you, too, are stuck visiting in-​laws in Saginaw.

They send out coupons every week, so a family of four can eat for about $ 14. The lady at the register is super sweet. Chicken and broccoli is the best!
