Today at dined at Harvey’s for the forth or fifth time and was disappointed. Our waitress did not want to be working and her attitude showed it. Also, the portions were tiny this time. I had a side of sweet potato fries and had 8 fries on my plate. Also, the cider mill sandwich was lacking meat inside and was flat.

Wasn’t impressed. Walking in the décor is nice, then you look at the menu and it is all over the board. The menu doesn’t fit the restaurant. The menu is similar to an upscale wanna be bar menu. Our service was good, the manager was out talking to tables. But the food and drinks were subpar. I ordered the Lobster Mac n Cheese. It was dry, salty, and the lobster was the fake stuff. Instead of an expected blend of interesting cheeses for the sauce, it was Alfredo with cavatappi pasta noodles then topped with poorly crushed Saltines. So disappointing. As for my friends food, some liked theirs and one thought her steak trio was freezer burnt so she sent it back.

Nice décor, with a modern flair. Ordered the combo appetizer platter-Fried pickles and spinach dip-. The waitress warned us that the portions are smaler than a single order. Boy was she right! It would be a stretch to say there was anymore than 2 pickle spears, cut up and deep fried. The rest of the bowl was shredded cabbage! Had lobster bisque soup. Tasted good but both were cold, had to send them back(1 bowl, 1 cup). The new bowl wasn’t even full, let alone that the bowl was only a half inch deep, anyway. The spinach dip was cold too. Had to send that back. We’re praying we don’t get sick from the lukewarm food. Ordered the calamari fries. Came hot, good. Harvey’s is trying to be too chic, and didn’t deliver in quality and quantity.(Harvey’s in Saginaw)

The service there tonight was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The speed in the kitchen was fast. The food came out as requested. We ordered appetizers which tasted good and were decent price. The entrees were reasonably priced however lacked quality in taste. My burger was dry and had little to no seasoning. The chicken parmigiana was greasy including the garlic bread which has a large amount of olive oil. We would return to try other items. The restaurant was clean and up to date.

I have been a customer at Harvey’s many times with an opinion of just ok food and service but tonight it was terrible! I ordered a draft beer, glass smelled and tasted like soap ask for another beer and same thing. Food was poor, white fish tasted fishy, rice was tough and not cooked properly. Service was poor, left restaurant unsatisfied!

Server inattentive, fish and chips took 40 minutes. Food was mediocre apps came out late and cold. The restaurant was busy, granted, but at $ 15 a plate they should learn to accommodate guests better.

Nice décor, food is generally pretty good, beer is ice cold, service is decent. The bar can be slow even if you’re sitting at it. The patio is nice but a couple of the tables are right in the sun, they should build some shades or something. Sucks getting stuck at a bad seat. You’re sweating, your drink gets warm, and you have to wear your sunglasses. One thing they do that is so much better than say Bdubs are the fried pickles. They use a crunchy pickle(like a Claussen), plus they use a tempura type batter. So much better than a hamburger sliced pickle and batter you’d see on fried fish. Go here if you’re tired of Applebees or Outback.

Service was great and attentive. Plenty of variety to the menu with good proportions. Atmosphere was relaxed with an inexpensive overall bill.

Great happy hour and late-night app specials, COLD beer, and my husband and I had an EXCELLENT experience sitting at the bar. Great bartenders. Will return based on that alone, but enjoyed all of the above.

decent salad, and fries(not many options for vegans), but I really wish they would change the fabric on the backs of the booths. I can’t look at the people sitting across from me without feeling dizzy and nauseous, because of the design on the fabric!

Chose 2/8.99 apps. Boneless chic and spinach and artichoke dip. Good flavor but not enough dip for chips. Applebee’s better flavor and better value if going during ½ off apps hrs

I’m not a fan of Harvey’s. Whatever I seem to order is never seasoned. Their pasta sauces are bland; pork chops are juicy but don’t taste like anything. Regardless of what anybody tells you, fried oreos are gross! I can’t rave over anything served here quite honestly.

Traveling back to New York stopped for a late night dinner. No one was at the hostess post and we thought that was a bad sign… wrong! Our server, Corky was a gem. She helped us choose our food and was sooo pleasant! We were brought a complimentary jalapeño dip by the manager! It was delicious and NOT spicy! A must! If we’re ever back this way we are stopping. Oh, and the beer… Havey’s was great!

I love this place and eating here when I’m in the area. The menu is inspired, but with great classics. The staff is friendly and it’s a hip environment. Seriously delicious, you can’t go wrong, I’ve had many a meal here!- with drinks, appetizers, and dessert shots.

Usually don’t have a problem but… Went there on Father’s day, place is a ghost town, should be able to get in and out right? Pffft… 20+ min to get starters. Another 30+min AFTER that to get entrée for 2 people. Management is MIA, waitress was clueless and followup during meal was non existent. Even after management was notified of screwed up order, made ZERO attempt to talk to us or even make eye contact. They even have a new special, summer tacos, maybe next summer… The fresh cilantro consisted of a wilted dime sized leaf, and the the«salad» on the taco was 6 large pieces of RAW onion. Wife and I got a serving of Cole slaw, mine was a bowl of Cole slaw soup, hers looked like Cole slaw and tasted completely different than mine. Not sure if the lack of customers was because everyone else was busy or they knew better than to come to this Harveys.

This place is wack. If it’s 30 plus minutes and your order of fish tacos and a corn dog haven’t made it to your table you leave! The place was empty and the waitresses were hanging at the bar… we left… bad business.

First time at this Harvey’s having eaten at the one in Bay City. We arrived at 11:45 am on a Sunday and it pretty empty. Server came right and took order. Soup came out pretty quickly then everything ground to a halt. Took 45 minutes to get entrees and watched other people come in and get their food sooner. I do have to say the food was good. This kind of delay is normally the kitchens problem and one of the other servers commented how messed up the kitchen staff was this particular day. Prices were good and I would go back again to give them another chance.

Well we were told to go there by the clerk at our hotel for steak, was not impressed with steak selections and the seasoning had a odd flavor, not impressed, the tempura shrimp was good less the balsamic dressing drizzled on it. The crotons on the salad were good and the Caesar salad was good. The waiter was very odd, keep saying this was good and this was good and when we ordered others items he would say good choice and just smile and smile, he did not even give us a chance to taste items he kept coming over and standing by the table and after a few seconds he would say how is it, how is it, is it to your liking, he was just too odd and at the table way to much. His name was Tomas and he made the meal less enjoying

Really nice Local Michigan Chain. I ate entirely too much. But it was totally worth it. The deep fried pickles were a great starter and then I had the Ultimate Mac n Cheese with a pork chop, was good… Not amazing but worth every penny. What earns them 5 stars then, you may ask? The SERVICE!!! My dinner came out immediately after my appetizer and without even saying a hing about it I was immediately told that they didn’t feel that was acceptable an that I would be getting a free dessert. The rest of he service was very good and welcoming, although the waitress did keep calling me «honey/hon» which always irritates me a little, her heart was in it and he effort was noticeable. There were a few small things that took longer than they could have, but her kindness and effort earns this place a 5 from me Finished it with deep fried Twinkies and hey were as good as any gourmet dessert pastry I have had. Gotta love some good old fashioned American Gluttony
