On June 11, 2016 my husband went to Cellar 6 for dinner and drinks before meeting up with friends. The evening was great. The bartender fixed us our drinks promptly. My husband was easy double crown on the rocks I went for the Chocolate Martine it was very yummy. The lady sitting next to me had a White Chocolate Martine that was served by the same bartender, John, and said it was good as well so of course my next drink was a White Chocolate Martin. We ordered dinner — I order the special which was Pan Seared Red Fish since I did not want the suggested side dished I had the checks Garlic Mash Potatoes and the bartender suggested the asparagus(great suggestion). My husband order the seared tuna. Both dish were delicious. For my final drink of the evening I told John to make me a Martin of his choosing. He made a spectacular Pomegranate Martin another great select. We stayed at the bar and ate and met some great people throughout the evening. This really is a great place to enjoy with a date or out with friends. Friendly atmosphere, great people, great chef, and great staff.

Small place but a really cool vibe. Had three tables outside so we sat out there. There was quite the variety of people going by… folks on ghost tours, tons of horse drawn carriages, and some panhandlers as well. Started off with the Tuna appetizer which was really good. Got a Caesar and regular salad… we said it was the best Caesar salad we’ve ever had. Had the shrimp and grits which were pretty good but a bit tough. Got the Bees Knees to drink which I absolutely loved. Would recommend!!!

Excellent food presentation of the scallops, NY strip stake and ahi tuna. All of the diishes tasted delicious. The NY strip was very tender, best I’ve ever had. The décor of the restaurant is romantic and modern. I loved the candles everywhere on the tables and in the restroom. For our anniversary Breanne, the server, offered us delicious desert on the house.

LOVED. This place definitely is upscale casual, which is kinda great! We sat at the bar which was had beautiful details, menus with perfect detail to ingredients for both food and drinks, and friendly staff– from the hostess to servers and bartenders. They had a variety of martinis, which typically I don’t drink aside from a dirty martini, but we had fun trying them! Courtney was our behind then bar mixologist and she was both pleasant and skilled at her craft! Wish we would have eaten more, but we wanted to explore the neighborhood, so we only had the bruschetta crostini which was truly fricken delicious! Clean restrooms! Indoor and outdoor seating! Will definitely go back one day. Don’t forget to ask about specials bc it seems like they have great happy hours each day!!!

As locals, we want to try every restaurant in st augustine and this place sure did disappoint. Over priced and under delivered should be their motto. Has potential but the food was really not very good. We got the chips appetizer which was overcooked. The food coming out of the kitchen didnt look very good either. On top of that the staff(particular the men) were unsavory, cursing and being unprofessional. Ugh. Will not be going back.

Came here for dinner on a date with my husband with no kids. Based on the reviews we read, we thought this was a no brainer. Excellent service and great food was what we read. Well, upon being seated, we soon realized what we read was false. The service was not great. Our waitress couldn’t tell me what salad dressings they had, and once one was chosen, she failed to bring it out to me. Our dinner arrived and I was still waiting for the dressing to my house salad. The food was what we read. It was great! The service continued to go downhill when I asked for another drink, and the waitress came back two other times without it, asking how our meal was etc. It wasn’t until my husband said something again that my drink was brought out, but at that point we were done with our meal. That being said, I recommend this place for food, as long as you know the service is not going to be 100%.

One word… Eh. This is certainly a 3 – 4 $ place for not much to choose from. I few cool aspects… The look of the place was very cool and hip. The menus light up so those with bad eyes could see them better but they were a bit bright for those who can see well since the place is pretty dark. We ordered wine from a good size list which was very good but never stayed for dinner. We ordered the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, which I will say was delicious. … In a nutshell, it was a romantic small place(like many in the area) and may go back again and give it another try but we weren’t impressed with the food choices and decided to try another place.

Whitney was amazing. I talked to her about what kind of drink I wanted and she made the perfect drink!

Great ambiance with upbeat music, dim lighting, and a menu full of cocktails. The food was just ok. We ordered the filets which were butterflied and did not say that on menu. The filet was a little dry. It took a while to get our food. All in all I would be back, especially for drinks!

I went here the night before Valentine’s Day w/a reservation and had a wonderful dinner. Though the place is pricey, the food I got(Shrimp & Grits) was absolutely delicious. I also tried two drinks; the Blue Martini, which was delightful, and the Kentucky Mule, also great. I actually spilled my martini all over the table and the waitress was nice enough to give me a new one on the house, which I thought was pretty sweet. I definitely recommend this place for a really nice, romantic dinner on a special night.

I came here for dinner before Valentine’s day, partially because of the fact that they took reservations(thank god, because everything else in the area was booked). We arrived to a cute table in the corner and the whole restaurant was decked with candles and red hearts and was dimly lit. They definitely set a nice ambiance and I appreciated them taking the time to do so. We started off with some drinks… I got the unfiltered martini(with blue cheese stuffed olives, yum!) and my date had the Kentucky mule and then a blue martini. Every drink was well-crafted and also delicious! They had a large menu for martinis, which I appreciated. Also, when my date clumsily spilled their drink on the floor, they graciously replaced it on the house! Their menu is pretty limited, so know that before going in. We started with some Cajun eggrolls, which were pretty good. I ordered a house salad with my meal which is was a beautiful creation(picture posted). My date ordered the shrimp and grits, which were out of this world! The grits were creamy and delicious and will please any grit hater. I ordered the filet, which was good. However, it was $ 38 and for $ 38, I was really hoping for out-of-this-world. I think my biggest issue with this place, is that they are really pretty pricey, but I don’t feel like their food matches that price? Yes, our food was good, but not for some of the prices they charge. But I do commend them for their attention to detail!

Great martinis and free prwtzela. Unfortunately thete is no food but i guess that a good martini makes up for that. This place is a must for a good martini happy hour. Me and beautiful girlfriend are having a gteat time. Cheers…

I enjoyed my meal here and I’d go again, though it’s expensive. The setting was prettily lit up a couple of weeks before Christmas. They have backlit menus, which I hadn’t seen before. We had the center seat at the window, which was a nice place to sit, especially as we were the only ones seated in the window section. The window area is used for the stage instead when they have live music. There were also tables on the street, which filled up first before we got there. Service was pretty good. I really liked my personable server Natalie. There was a wait for my second cocktail, however. And I think at these prices they should give you silverware for multiple courses, or bring you new silverware, instead of asking you to keep your silverware when they bus your table. I had two cocktails at happy hour prices, $ 6 each(marked with a Martini-glass symbol; many unmarked ones are $ 8 during happy hour). I liked them both, probably the Starbucks espresso Martini more than the Courtney’s Cosmo. Those prices are good daily till 7(they open at 4:30) and from 10 to closing, as well as on Martini Monday. Otherwise their cocktails average $ 13. They have specials many days, notably Tapas Tuesday, when appetizers are half priced. We shared a Cajun chicken eggroll($ 12). It was big enough for two. It was merely pleasant to me, a bit spicy, and a bit too hot to eat till it cooled down. We got soup with our entrees. I rather liked my chorizo chili, and it was not too hot to eat when it came to the table(a rarity for soup). I really liked my main of scallops($ 30). I like scallops and these were good; they were on top of good mashed potatoes, something I also like; and they came with good asparagus. Asparagus is normally steamed and more bland then the tasty, grilled spears I got here. My companion didn’t much like her Asian noodles with pork however($ 29; that must be the most expensive bowl of noodles in Saint Augustine). For dessert we shared a molten chocolate Bundt cake with ice cream($ 7). It was quite good and I might get it again. With tip our meal came to $ 113 for two. I enjoyed my meal here, but given the entrée prices I’d be more likely to come for one of their specials next time, either happy hour cocktails or Tapas Tuesday to graze on half-priced appetizers.

I wouldn’t normally write a review for an above average experience, and my dinner last night was pretty good. There were a few highlights of the evening that just made it stand out, and not for the right reasons. Our waitress was new. No problem. I’ll give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But each time she showed up at our table without her book to take our orders and had to leave to go get it, I was mildly irritated. If you aren’t confident enough to remember orders, always have your book with you. The restaurant was really dark. So dark that the trendy, electronic screen menus were blindingly bright and difficult to read and then be able to see your table mates. The darkness of the restaurant also made it virtually impossible to see the checks when they arrived. We all had to pull our phones out to see the bills. The icing on the cake for the evening was when the manager came up, asked us how our meal was and proceeded to tell us that we needed to leave because they needed the table for another reservation. I have never been kicked out of a restaurant before. There were other open tables. He could have offered to relocate us to the bar. He could have been apologetic but he was not. He was rude. The reality was that we had paid our bills and were probably 5 – 10 minutes away from leaving, but getting the boot left a bad taste in our mouth. Because of that, I probably won’t return.

While visiting Saint Augustine, Cellar 6 was the first bar/restaurant that we visited a second time while trying all the bars in the downtown area. This bar is a fantastic place, dimly lit with live music. Their appetizers are perfectly done and great to share between two people. They have a great selection of wines and beer. Their drinks are handcrafted making the extra dollar or two per drink well worth it. They already earned our repeat business.

Cellar 6 is the place to go to enjoy a tasteful meal, great service, and the perfect cocktail, sangria, or glass of wine to top it all off! I would definitely take advantage of the two dinner entrees and $ 10 off a bottle of wine! I love the outside tables overlooking Avilies street in the heart of the historic downtown art district. This place is very popular on Friday and Saturday so call or make a reservation on OpenTable to make sure you have a spot! The new chef is taking this place to a new level each day. Definitely give it a try!
