Nails so happy

This salon does not clean their equipment after each use. They move the pedicure tool case to a shelf and take the same case back for the next customer. The foot spa tubs are not sanitized after each use, but only rinsed out, at best. Beware of this place.

Nails were not shaped the same. They all look different. The thickness of each nail is different and uneven throughout the nail. They chipped within a week.
But, they haven’t broken.

I was a customer of this business for the past 6 months and the technician always did a good job but I recently ended doing business with them out of sheer frustration with the owner, Loan. I am someone who always makes appointments and I also am also on time. The last 2 times i have arrived Loan is just beginning a «walk in» and tells me one of the other techs will take care of my pedicure. I make appointments with Loan because I want her to do my pedicure and nails. Very unprofessionally run business. No prices posted. I feel they should take better care of their regulars. They have lost a customer and what is sad is they will tell you they don’t care because there is always another customer. Very sad.

These people are very personable, excellent customer service, and hospitable! I enjoyed their company!

I took my grandmother here to get her nails done and it cost only $ 12 and they were really nice! The space where this is located is not luxurious, but there is plenty of parking in the parking lot and it’s just so convenient and inexpensive, I could not give less than five stars. These guys managed to work us in to a busy schedule with only about one minute of waiting. Loved it!

Very nice people and super affordable. $ 22 for a pedicure or $ 33 for both manicure and pedicure. You really can’t beat that price! They did a great job getting the dead skin off and massaging as well. Differently recommend this place if you are in St. Augustine! It’s right next to Publix.

Excellent work by both technicians. One did a pedicure and one a gel fill. Both are extremely skilled and fast. Only criticism is the amount of texting and chatting going on. It detracts from the work and at times, borderline inappropriate.

Just walked in without an appointment and received a hearty welcome. I was promptly given a pedicure by Cherish, who did a thorough, efficient job. I then had my nails done, also by Cherish.
The manicure was also extremely thorough. It was the first time in a long time that I actually received a competent manicure; including trimming of my cuticles.
The place was very clean, friendly and the staff seemed very committed to their customers being happy with their services. Prices were very reasonable based on the caliber of services I received
here.

This used to be the place I went. However after making an appointment and arriving only to find my manicurist had not shown up and now never able to get in I am looking for another place.

I think this is the best Nail Salon in these parts. We are here only for the winter and I have found their prices to be fair, the place is very friendly and very clean. Cherish has done my nails several times and her manicures/​pedicures cannot be beat! I will miss this salon when we return home.

We were on the area for the Christmas holiday and my daughter and I dropped in. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. If o lived in the area, I’d definitely be a regular.

I love this place it’s the best salon on the beach in St. Augustine and Linda is the best. It’s always so clean is always so friendly and funny and it’s a joy to come here

I love this nail salon. I have been to a lot but this salon never disappoints. Lynn and Linda are my favorite nail techs. The guy that works there is good too. Anytime I get a waxing service it’s as pain free as it can be and they never miss a single hair. The nail art is always on point and much much better than anywhere else in the area. They make me feel so welcome and comfortable. I love feeling like I’m visiting my friends when I go in.

I will never go anywhere else. I’ve been going here for years, and having experiences with other nail salons, Nails so Happy is by far the best. Every job they do is to their full ability and they always do an amazingly. Lee, the owner, is successfully running an amazing family business and he and his mother can do some serious magic if you’re looking for acrylics. ;D

Horrible, terrible, RUDE! I am an occasional resident of St. Augustine Beach and during my last visit in September, 2013, I went to Nails So Happy and had a decent experience with «Lee» (male). He did a nice job, told me he was the owners son, the business had been there for 20 years, etc. I was delighted to know that I had found a good establishment. I am now in the area again for two months (June/​July 2014) and was looking forward to my nail appointment. Lee, unfortunately was not available for the date/​time that I needed however the woman who answered the phone said that anyone could help, «we all family». I arrive for my appointment, five minutes early, knew the «protocol» and picked out a color and sat down in the waiting area. There were two women working with two other customers: one in the back pedicure area and the other in the front nail area. Although the latter was working on one person, two other women were sitting with her too and it appeared that they were all friends. I was reading as I waited, not really paying attention to anyone else there, when suddenly I heard someone state something … then stated it again only this time louder. I looked up toward the woman who was doing the nail-​customer and asked «I’m sorry, were you speaking to me?». Not looking up, she said «you here for 5?» to which I replied «yes», to which she said «wash you hands». I did so and went to sit back down. She got up from her chair, motioned for me to sit at a certain nail desk and asked what I was there for. I stated «gel fill». This seemed to confuse her since she stated «gel fill, gel fill, oh … you want GEL fill». Not being from the area and not being familiar with their capabilities, I politely asked if that was something that they could do. She raised her arm, pointed to the door and said «leave». I asked, «I beg your pardon?» to which she said (still pointing), «you go. leave now», then lowered her arm turned around and walked to the back of the store. I was shocked, stunned and left. I apparently was getting kicked out of a nail salon! Upon getting in my car, I «Yelped» for the closest nail salon and found «Nails By Kim». They took me right away and I had a super experience! I will write their positive review next. My advise is to NOT visit Nails So Happy since my nails were not so happy and neither was I. It was an awful and rude experience, not the way a paying customer should be treated especially in today’s competitive environment … especially when there are at least ten other salons all within a few miles radius. Beware. A one-​star review was too high base

Best pedicure. Ever.
I was visiting family so my sister in law and I decided to have some girl time together and get our toes done. It wasn’t exactly a «spa pedicure» (I don’t even remember the massage and there weren’t any frills) but my toes have never looked better. We went to the beach the next day, I wore sandals my whole trip and did lots of walking and even with all of that plus it’s now been almost two weeks since I was here, my toes still look perfect! No chips or smudges. I told her I would have to start visiting her regularly just to get my toes done, ha.

Great place! Fun atmosphere, always always busy so get yourself an appointment!
Great family business, great employees

Southern people are hard core when it comes to getting their nails done.
Dorian and I came here for a little Sunday morning beautification, and loved every minute of it. They did a great job on our fingers and toes, and we got the local gossip as well. It’s a really family run business, and the kids (probably all between 18 – 23) work as certified nail techs. They were clearly enjoying it, and took pride in their work.
It was a really nice environment, and there was family getting their toes done, including a father and a seven year old girl, who decided her dad needed green toes. Very cute and an inviting place to go.
