This place has the most amazing grilled cheeses ever. We found this place by accident(there was a 1h 45min wait at a seafood restaurant next door and we were starving.) We walked down the sidewalk, saw this unusual but interesting looking venue, and Unilocaled it. Grilled cheese sandwiches?! SOLD! We originally came in to get a snack to hold us over until we were seated, but we ended up ordering 3 sandwiches and shared 1 big bag of chips. Each bite of my Wakin’ Bacon sandwich was an orgasmic combination of ooey-gooey cheese, perfectly cooked bacon, and eggs perfectly sandwiched between two delectable and super buttery pieces of toast. Amazing. When we go down to St Augustine, we have to visit that previously mentioned seafood spot 99.999999% of the time. Not anymore. Planet Sarbez has definitely placed themselves on our radar, and we will be making specific trips down to St Augustine for their grilled cheese sandwiches.

The environment was awesome and the over-priced grilled cheese sandwiches(the only things on the hard-to-see chalkboard menu) were delicious. The hubby and I walked in and saw about seven or eight people crowded around the bar. Two people played pool. There weren’t any tables to sit at. Just tables turned into board games. There’s no sign anywhere that stated ‘Take Your Order Here’ so we just stand in the middle of a large room trying to figure out what to do. A man comes in after us and goes right to the bar to order. So we follow suit. An employee takes his order and then asks if were ready. We order the sandwiches and asked for water. The employee said there’s free water in the Britta pitcher on the condiment table by the bar. I look over to see where she’s pointing and a few of the people hanging out at the bar have to move so I can get the water. Hubby and I sit at a table that’s been transformed into a Scrabble table. We’re both stressed, being watched by the drunks at the bar, and the waitress comes with the food. It tasted great but was way too small. We left annoyed, stressed and hungry. There was a stage but no band. The radio was way too loud. I know what you’re thinking – me and my hubby are in our fifties, right? Nope, we’re in our late 20s and felt very uncomfortable in this supposed hip restaurant. Will never be back.

Chill, badass, and something to look at as soon as you enter. Murals are classic and the beer selection is great. Cheap eats and simple. Great customer service and the owner is very cool.

Real cool place to hang out. Friendly bartenders, cool owner. Lots of weird art, local original music, and cool places to hang. Smoking area outside. Real relaxed place. A pool table, foozeball, and shufflebord too. I saw some video game consoles too. They have some food, coffee and a real nice beer selection on tap. Beer served in mason jars.

This was where we ended up after checking in at the humble yet homely Budget Inn across the street in St. Augustine late in the evening. Pretty neat spot, in all honesty. Very open space with little nooks and crannies perfect for people watching or chilling with friends over a draft beer, which they serve in cold mason jars. This night in particular we were catching the tail end of an open mic night. Cool little bookshelf if you wanna hang out and read for a while, tv with vcr and a separate shelf of VHS movies line the walls. There’s a bar, and then what appears to be a «snack bar» of sorts. We chose to sit and play a sluggish game of checkers over our local florida beers. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking to chill after a six hour drive like we were. Can’t say I know too much otherwise, but apparently the triple decker grilled cheese sandwich is where it’s at!

Über cool beer and wine joint. Reminds me of a less gentrified version of 2 cents in Key West. I’d love to live nearby and make this my living room! Pool table and Foosball. Great, friendly bartender. Excellent urban-style artwork. Next time I’ll come to try the grilled cheese. :)
