So I tried Arby’s a few more times, and the food has continued to disappoint me. Reuben($ 5ish) — 2 stars. Sloppy, overpriced. Beef & cheddar mid($ 5ish) — 2 stars. Not enough cheese.

Arby’s is one of the hidden gems of fast food. The meat used on their beef sandwiches, which come in every shape and size imaginable, is very fresh for such a large scale fast food restaurant. The artery cloggers(curly fries) are extremely fatty but delicious. Have you ever had bacon at a fast food restaurant and it is basically fat(subway and mcdonalds) I am happy that my beef sandwich with bacon came with fresh cut apple wood smoked bacon, and they weren’t lying.

Gave me ice cold hash browns today. Probably had them sitting around for hours. I won’t be back.

To be honest, I had never been to an Arby’s in my entire life until now. Its not like I have anything against the place, It just the opportunity never came for some reason. With all the other fast food places everywhere Arby’s just doesn’t seem to stand out that much. Today I drove by one and the thought occurred me to «I’VENEVERBEENTOANARBY’S!» so I stopped by. This specific location wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t shiny new either. For about 7.50 I got a combo which included: Curly fries: As generic as curly fries get, these taste like all frozen curly fries they throw in the frier. Not bad Drink: a standard fast food drink you fill with what you want at the fountain. Mid sized cheddar beef: I was pleasantly surprised by this sandwich. Its actually bigger than your average«premium» sandwich at Mcdonalds. For a «mid» size, the beef was literally overflowing out of all sides of the bun. There was a smattering of melted cheese on top which was fine. Overall it tasted pretty good. Nothing amazing but more than decent for a fast food place. I also tasted the two special house sauces: Arby’s Sauce: tastes like a mix between barbeque and sweet and sour sauce. Its also not as thick as barbeque. kinda of sweet and tangy. Horsey Sauce: I was impressed by this white sauce. It is basically horseradish mayo but blended really really well. Somewhere in Arby’s food labs somewhere, a guy got this one right. It goes PERFECTLY with a cheddar and beef. A slight zing when you take a bite that goes away really fast making you want another bite. Overall I’d say Arby’s ranks above Burger King and Below McDonalds. I’m not sure why there is so few of them. If you happen to come across one, give it a shot.
