My first experience with frozen custards — man, it’s rich! Too rich for my blood — literally. Pretty sure this is the stuff artery build-up is made of: P. I had a hard time ordering from the the girl working the counter — she was very nice and flexible but could not give solid recommendations. Menu was too complex, so I quit and just got a simple waffle cone w/half a scoop of Irish Coffee custard, and half a scoop of Cookies & Cream(~$ 5) — no regrets. The waffle cone tasted super fresh and very crunchy(even though I didnt go in until 8pm) and added much needed texture to the frozen custard — I recommend it. Both the Irish coffee and Cookies & Cream custards were good –nothing amazing, but definitely solid flavors. Given the extra caleries, I’d probably stick to my ice cream — but thanks for letting me check frozen custard off my list, Gramps!

I am a simple man who enjoys frozen custard. This place is great. I have been their twice, the first time I got the seasonal St. Patricks’ Day shake, but tonight I went with the double scoop waffle dish, with yellow cake batter for one, and cookies and cream as the other. When you keep things simple, the better they are! Gramp’s Frozen Custard is great! St. Charles has great options for dinner, and this is great for dessert! Frozen custard is better than soft serve! Nothing says frozen custard on a 20 degree day… hahah!

It was good. But I was disappointed by the limited flavor options. There were only 4 – 5 options and three were vanilla, chocolate, and swirl? It tasted great but some more options would be great.

We came here on a summer Saturday afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly staff who sold us on a «Ridiculously Reese’s» sunday. It was ridiculously good. Best frozen custard I’ve had in a long time — great location too. Can’t wait to come back and try their other weekly flavors and concoctions.

Love this place. Service is always friendly, the store smells like sugary heaven and the custard is excellent. They have a rotating menu of flavors and they are all good. Be careful though, the servings are HUGE! As much as I love the custard I often can’t finish more then a child size. Take a pint home with you and eat it for days.

Never had frozen custard before but I thoroughly enjoyed my single scoop of fudge brownie frozen custard. My husband and I actually walked in the door 5 minutes before they were closing, but they were nice enough to let us through and even explain a thing or two about frozen custard(and warn us NOT to order a hot dog). Definitely great service(they’ve got a tip jar if you agree) & a tasty refreshing treat! A single scoop will run you a little over $ 3…it’s a pretty big scoop so I’d reccommend sharing.

This place gets pretty busy on warm days. Their custard is the real deal — very creamy and with nice flavor. Their ice creams are good as well. If you are near St. Charles you should drop by and sample their creamy goodness!
