This is my new local Home Depot and I am pretty much in love with it as much or more than the one in Florissant where I moved from. It has a different layout but I feel like they stock more Merchandise that the other HD I am used to. Things that were hard in the other store are laid out in a much more concise manner at this store. I also think that the people my be happier to help you. I had run in to some major attitudes before at HD. All together I will be spending the majority of my money here for home improvement items.

Home Depot or Lowe’s…Lowe’s or Home Depot… that is the question. When you look for a big box home improvement store in St. Charles, these are the two behemoths you end up choosing between. While each location provides you with a myriad of employee attitudes and knowledge levels, you can always count on wandering around looking for what you need far longer than it takes to pick it out when you finally get there. That aside, here is my opinion: 1) The Home Depot usually has slightly better pricing. 2) The Home Depot has a better selection of fencing, fans and exterior lighting. 3) The Home Depot has had better wood 5 out of 9 times so far. 4) The Home Depot has a better softener salt selection/availability. 5) The Home Depot has a better outdoors section. While on the other hand: 1) Lowe’s has a better tool section. 2) Lowe’s has a better overall layout. 3) Lowe’s has a better kitchen area/appliance area. 4) Lowe’s has had better customer service most of the time. 5) Lowe’s has a better grill and outdoor equipment selection. 6) Lowe’s has a better generator selection. Now these are my opinions firsthand. I always go to both before I purchase at whichever one I think is better for that particular reason. I will continue to play home improvement ping pong always looking for the better of deals. Thanks for listening!

This is the place for wood chunks for grilling. My oldest son is on a grilling mission, so we went yesterday and got: 50 pounds of hickory chunks for $ 12.97 5-pound bags of cherrywood chunks at $ 6.97 each 5-pound bags of applewood chunks at $ 6.97 each And for the unitiated(as I was), there’s a BIG difference between wood chunks and wood chips. Chips are everywhere. Chunks, not so much! Quick, easy. No spills. No fuss. No muss!
