OK. I seem to have become some sort of Unilocaler vigilante of sorts for these fast-food restaurants. So… here goes… Now, this particular Wendy’s location is usually pretty good. Fast, accurate service is usually the norm, here. Unfortunately, today was the exception to the rule. As I talked into the speakerbox, the master chef spoke to me with a loving tone. He repeated my order back correctly, as it displayed correctly upon the new, fancy«Screen Of Accuracy» with a BOLD, yellowish, sans-serif font. The voice requested that I pull to the second window to exchange my payment for my delicious food, I was surprised to see that the male voice I heard through the speakerbox was indeed a crabby black woman. She snatched my payment device from my hands without repeating the total to me, and handed back my plastic card. Now this is where it gets confusing, folks. I felt like I had been displaced to another dimension… A big, white dude(who I would assume was the man behind the soothing speakerbox voice) had the sack of goodies, and handed it to me, along with my beverage. Very efficient, Wendy… 2 people working the drive-thru window. I would’ve maybe had the payment window(window 1, if you will) open with her in it, then window 2 handing out the food. Call me crazy. So, now, I pull around to get out of the customer’s way behind me to check my sack-o-goodies. Mind you, I ordered a small beverage and one food item. The straw was missing, there were 3 condiments missing(that usually go along with this item) and my receipt was nowhere to be found. My thoughts on the drive-thru: If I am in fact in the drive-thru, that would indicate that I am #1 — in a rush for time, and do not wish to park my vehicle to go inside to get my order; #2 — do not wish to be shooed away from the window because you have«other customers» to attend to while I try to check my order, and #3 — do not wish to be looked at like I’m stupid for coming in to get my order fixed. I’m seriously thinking I should just pack my own lunches…

Decent Wendy’s, this location is pretty new and is still pretty efficient. The people here are nice and get the food out at a good pace. After the dry spell Saint Louis had from Wendy’s for about 5 years it is nice to see more than a few Wendy’s open back up. Also it is nice to see they are taking a good look at the food and making it taste better. I was never a Wendy’s fan when they had the old locations. For me I am a fan of the Double stack and value fry, I mean seriously that with a water for $ 2.15 is a steal and fills«me» up. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I eat very little at fast food because I understand that is is not the best thing to eat so this amount of food is perfect. Also the flavor is pretty good, they must actually season the Berger unlike some places that are flavorless discs. The meat on this sandwich literally hangs over because the meat is bigger than the bun. I like the toppings and condiments they put on the burger also. The new fries are actually surprisingly good to. I think the sea salt is a good addition. The only issue I have with this place is the inconsistency on the Ketchup dispenser, I mean seriously how hard is it to keep the supply of Ketchup flowing? I eat allot of sauces with my food and when I have to practically manhandle the pump to get a tiny cup out I am ready to take my food back. But anyways I am kind getting hook on the food here and might start expanding my choices on the menu. Would definitely go back.

When it comes to fast food, i must say i have recently changed my 1st choice to Wendy’s. They have an updated menu and they are serious about preparing their food well.(i.e. their food when prepared actually looks like how it’s displayed on their menu and the meat is tasty and fresh). I’ve had Wendy’s while i was on vacation in Orlando(2 meals in 2 days) and right after on the day i came back from vacation(lunch after we landed). Highlights: — French Fries — regular looking fries but they are now seasoned with sea salt — small ingredient, huge difference in taste, not too salty, not too heavy, but addictively yummy. — Spicy Chicken Sandwich — burns your taste buds at first, but leaves a lingering taste which causes a craving for more! And they are actually spicy! :) — Spicy Chicken Go Wrap — Think Spicy Chicken Sandwich Light — just as yummy, less calories, same great taste! — Spicy Chipotle Boneless Wings — Spicy, tasty, make sure you have water ready. — Honey BBQ Boneless Wings — Not spicy, still tasty, and if you like anything honey bbq’ed, you should try this out. If you’re ever hungry for fast food, give Wendy’s a Go. :)
