Quilted Works

Beautiful place with lots of fabric of all sorts, shapes and sizes. I am visiting from Dillon, Montana and love to bring home little bits and bobs from every quilt store I stop at.
Why only 3 stars? Treatment. When I decided what I wanted to take home (20 fat quarter bundle for $ 49 — great price!) I asked the lady at the counter if she had any more of the cute little Moda packs (only $ 4). These are small packs of 2.5″ squares and I love to collect them.
She showed me she had upwards of 40 if the little packs behind the counter but refused to sell them (they may be special and she really shouldn’t) and then wouldn’t even ask someone if they were special. Instead of maybe asking, she stood and stared at me for upwards of a minute.
The little packs she shows me matched two sets of charm packs already in my stash and I was ecstatic, hoping to add at least 5 of those little packs to what I had.
I’m sorry. I thought I was spending money in a store. I didn’t realize I was going to possibly buy something that she wanted to really, really keep.
I left — without spending a dime. Sorry, ladies. I really wanted something from the quilt store in a different state. Silly me.
