Outstanding fresh market with nice produce and the kindest of people. Fresh tomatoes, melons, onions, potatoes, and more! Highly suggest Barefoot as a first stop on Rt 21

Barefoot Farms. I wish I could box them up and place the entire farm in my backyard, however I cannot. This farm has very nice people who actually care about what they are doing. They have a nice selection of fruits & veggies, homemade salsas, Juices, boiled peanuts, and etc.

Oh, how I love Barefoot Farms.
They did fresh local food before it was cool. Like, straight off the farm behind the market kind of fresh. It’s all in season, so if you’re looking for strawberries, tomatoes, corn, or collards you better know your Farmer’s Almanac. The owners are Gullah so you’ll often run in to some pretty thick accents but that just adds to the charm.
They post what they’ve got in stock on large signs out front so you typically know what you’re getting in to. Prices are fair given the deliciousness of their produce, and they’ve got a much larger selection than any of the other roadside stands on the islands. Worth a stop, for sure.
