Amazing happy hour beer prices. Delicious, if slightly unorthodox, tacos. Will definitely be back, especially so close to home. Service was quick and easy, didn’t bother us much. Only downside was the table not being level. Not gonna knock a star off for that.

The last two times I was here for food, the service was terrible(not rude, just incredibly slow and sloppy), and the food ranged from mediocre to nearly inedible. It’s disappointing, because the staff is very nice and I want to like the food, but I think this has become a drinks-only place for me.

Food here is soooo good! Happy hour is awesome, local beer specials and select apps for a super low price. The staff is great as well as the atmosphere. They have djs and dancing late night if your into that. Overall, it’s a place I’ll frequently visit and recommend

Thank you Unilocal! When traveling I always look at Unilocal first to find the best restaurant or coffee shop. Well they did me right again finding me this place. Burrito was great and probably more than I should have eaten in one sitting. But I did because it was so good. Service was great as well. Neighborhood a little bit hipster for this southerner but felt very comfortable walking around.

Brunch was amazing!!! Got the crab cakes Benedict… Obsessed!!! Tried the biscuits and gravy… different but great, def worth the try! And we also got the melletes… Not sure what it really is but it was so good… Lots of good flavors and the avocado on top just makes the dish! Oh and they have Khaldis coffee which I love! Big thumbs up!!!

Wonderful veggie options! As a vegetarian it is a challenge to find tons of options in St. Louis. This place offers a lot of them and they are decent. The food is consistent and good. It won’t blow your mind, but is good. The cocktails are pretty tasty and change regularly. Service is good. If you want someone to check on you every five minutes, this is not the place. An occasional check in and water refilled is what they offer. Great happy hour! Love the environment. Check it out.

A nice place to enjoy a variety of evening shenanigans. They have a bar/dancing area out front, but what I really like is their back patio area. When I was there, they had an amazing fire pit set up for the evening. There was also a stage for so live music options(I’m guessing that is more of a fall/summer/spring thing). It seems pretty upbeat and lively here, with lots of good food and drink options. Overall, a great place to spend the evening!

They have the best burgers, order an ATOMICBURGER. Their fries are amazing. Their Mac and cheese, quesadillas, fajitas, everything. I try to get different things and they always turn out sooo good. The place isn’t like brand new but the food is so worth it. Great place to eat.

I love this place. I had a questionable experience regarding my tab, and I immediately heard from the owner, general manager and a waitress to remedy the problem. They’re busy, yeah, but summer weekend nights here are the best because of their awesome patio. Drinks are reasonably priced, the bar manager is very friendly, and their food is shockingly good for how big of a party the bar hosts every Friday and Saturday. Check out their brunch! Everything we tried on the menu was delicious.

These people service is heinous and this was my first time going. These people services were extremely lethargic and unwelcoming. I sat at the table for 15 min there was nothing in front of me. I had to command a person to serve my table. Then it took another 15 min to bring out my food. It took 30 min to get service and I had constantly request for services. This was on Friday night a little pass 12am.

We enjoyed our meal: Enchiladas(Chicken, Cheese), Tilapia Taco, Atomic Fries, Atomic Burger was tasty. Now the Street Corn has moved to the top of our St. Louis list. Glad we were able to try Excel Soda here. We were #LOL when we got home because our clothes smell like we were sitting inside a BBQ Smoker/Grill! Now I know why my eyes were burning the entire time. LOL! #stlmetrofoodie

Giddy up… this place is rad. I recently enjoyed a BBQ burger and dry white wine here for a late lunch. Inside is nice and open with enormous windows and great seating. Overall atmosphere is laid back cool, yo. After nabbing a booth, we had a sweet waitress help us out when it came to ordering. Do I recommend the aforementioned burger? YOUBETCHA. It was juicy and hit the spot for that burger craving I get from time to time especially after I drink a green juice. The french fries weren’t my favorite but they had a large list of other sides I’m down to try next time. Can’t wait to return to experience the night scene here(and another burger.)

I had fish and chicken tacos which were meh. The fried picked were equally meh.

Nice place to hang out with friends. The music was a bit loud and there isn’t much space to sit. If you can, go to the back, the open patio. The music is not as loud, a lot easier to talk. The only down side is putting up with the hot weather in summer! Other than that, the gaucho fries were great and they have a full bar with a nice selection of national and local beer.

While the Grove area is rich with other fun, quirky restaurants to experience, this place was a once-and-done for me. On a Tuesday night with maybe 25% of the seats taken and countless servers just standing around, we waited 25 min for our drinks and an additional 40 for four burgers that honestly were tasteless and greasy. I am not sure why thee are all of the glowing reviews and perhaps we just went on a bad night, but when there is this much competition, a restaurant better be prepared to wow ‘em every time.

Came with friends for a late night dinner. I had the most unappealing and sloppiest quesadilla ever after waiting for nearly an hour. Their«chicken» taco was equally terrible. I quoted chicken because I am not even sure if it was real chicken we were served, the items in the taco was mainly fried breading, with a hint of meat that could have been anything, that’s how flavorless it was. They were visibly short on staff that night but that’s no excuse for un-eatable food. At the bar, I ordered a Long island iced tea. I received something else. I saw the bartender mixing some unknown liquors together, the end result was horror and confusion. I had zero energy left in me to send the drink back. How do you mess up a Long island, sir? This the first drink they teach you at bartending school. I need answers. They had an ok DJ that evening though, so at least the ambiance made that place slightly worthwhile. Because Atomic Cowboy has a lot of good reviews, I may give it a try again in the future, hoping the food was just a one-off type of thing. But I am skeptical.

It’s not often that my husband begs me to go back to a place but that’s exactly what happened after going to Atomic Cowboy. One beef brisket burrito later and he’s hooked. My husband didn’t even eat burritos when I met him and now over a decade later he’s taken the Ron Swanson approach that burritos are«a whole new meat delivery system.» So we’ve returned and were not disappointed. My husband now insists he’ll be trying every single burrito on the menu and I just nod my head and eat more cowboy queso. I love the happy hour deals here, the food is good, and the specialty cocktails are pretty fun too. Service isn’t the best but they take care of your burrito and drink needs and that’s enough for a chill place like this. Beyond the food and drinks, my favorite part is the décor. I love the look of the place with its brick, artwork, chalkboard, and a kind of western industrial charm. This is a great place to relax and eat until your insides burst.

I’ve been to Atomic a couple dozen times over the past few years. It’s the best in the summer when their sprawling patio is filled with people. A great spot to go out with a big group or on a date. Recently, I’ve been there for brunch and dinner. We went for brunch around 11am on a packed Sunday, but the wait was short and completely worth it. We started with a potato gratin type dish-it was cheesy and rich, very tasty. We each got the pulled pork biscuits and gravy. This thing was beautiful. There was so much smoky flavor, not overpowering, just right. The biscuits were large and perfectly structured as to hold up the decadent toppings. Eat it now. In closing: chicken and waffles. They serve these at night. Top of my C and W list. The waffles were made on the spot as was the freshly fried chicken. There were other things on it but I do not remember because chicken and waffles. The chicken batter had a habanero spice that balanced out the sweet syrup and butter. Just marvelous. They’ve also got some excellent ½ price appetizers, we only tried the nachos, which were drenched in cheese and meat that were beyond satisfactory.

I went to Atomic Cowboy about a month ago after wanting to go for forever… Very glad I did. We went on a warm day so we sat out on the patio and it was just lovely! My friend and I both got a strawberry margarita to accompany the Queso Fundido. Both were SO good. Probably one of my favorite strawberry margs ever! And with the queso we got chorizo added. Melty cheese and queso… Is there really anything better? So for my meal I decided to get the Cheeseburger burrito with a side of mac and cheese. I will say it was pretty tasty, but it wasn’t the best thing I have ever had. I did not like the mac and cheese though. It sort of tasted like chili-mac, and I just was not impressed. I actually probably would never get the burrito again if I came, but that’s mainly because I tried what my friend got… It truly was overshadowed. And it made me wish I would have gotten that. But don’t get me wrong, it was good, and I know it’s one of their best sellers… But after trying their LIFECHANGING chicken and waffles… I wouldn’t get anything else when coming back. I mean, it was on the cover of feast, so you know it must be good. And it so was. I will for sure be back for some strawberry margaritas and the chicken and waffles… What a combination!

I have been back to the Atomic Cowboy a few times since my last review and thought I would give a little update. The food at AC is delicious and as always come out quickly when I have ordered. I remember ordering the Chicken Mojo one time and no doubt, the«vanilla bun» is probably the best bread I have ever encountered in my life. It was very flavorful and went great with the flavors in the chicken, and they gave a nice scoop of guacamole on the side! The other day I went for their Happy Hour and was thoroughly impressed. They offer craft beers for $ 3.50 during their HH and I even ordered a chicken taco for $ 2. That as the cheapest HH I have been to in a while and I can’t wait to go back. My friend and I even ordered the sweet potato empanadas to share and they were hot and so good! There was a nice jalapeño cream on top which I know my friend enjoyed, but it was a bit too spicy for me. Overall, the AC is stepping up their game and I think you should give them a try.

I’ve been to Atomic MANY, MANY, MANY times… and somehow I have YET to review it! This review is for their brunch… which I didn’t even know that they did. We had a group of 9 that day. They reserved us a table and our server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a green bean bloody mary(pretty good… nothing special) and sampled their Horchata coffee drink(OHMAN… SOOOOGOOD!!!) Their house coffee was also really good. We tried their doughnuts — French Toast(didn’t taste much like French toast but was good) and Blueberry Lime. These came with a large glass of milk. The Tres Leches French Toast, was a big hit. I am not a person who typically likes a lot of sweet things, but this was really, really good! Vanilla bread with egg and lemon zest, topped with dolce de leche ice cream… YUM! This is supposed to be served with a «fresh fruit salad» which turned out to be a bowl of cubed cantelope. Biscuits and Chorizo Gravy — topped with pulled pork and crumbled bacon. Not your typical biscuits and gravy but still good. Espinola — Thin sliced baked potatoes with egg(think scalloped potatoes) served over ancho mole’ sauce topped with avocado pico de gallo. This is what I ordered and I REALLY liked it… not too heavy like it sounds… only 6.00! I also ordered a side of bacon which was just… eh, bacon. Nothing special about the bacon which made me a bit sad since I try to only order bacon once in awhile. I will definitely be going here again for brunch. Our server also handed out«Free Bloody Mary» cards for our next visit. :) POSTEDPHOTOS

I came to Atomic Cowboy for a birthday dinner on Friday with a large group of friends. It really locked down my love for this massive and unique bar/restaurant. First off, the inside is huge. It doesn’t have a ton of tables but it’s spacious. It can take a crowd, that’s for sure. When we were leaving the DJ was setting up. Just missed it! It also has this weird circus theme going for it. I have no idea how it fits with the name, but it’s eclectic and I like it. This time I decided to try their cowboy burger. It was quite delicious. It came with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, onions, and a thick patty. Pretty much a classic burger and they did a great job on it. I recommend the fries, too. +1 for seasoning them. AC has cheap drinks as well. I think I got 2 for around $ 13. That’s a great deal and I’ll be coming back to try out one of their happy hours. Bottom line, Atomic Cowboy is cool and has great food. You should check it out.

After coming here twice for food in the past couple months, I’m convinced that this is a hidden gem when it comes to food. A lot of people know it for it being a bar or music venue, but their food really shines. The first time that I came here, it was for Mother’s Day brunch. Usually we go to somewhere more fancy so I was a little worried about my mom liking here. She was thrilled. We sat on the patio and had a really fabulous meal plus some live music that was really good. I had a delicious grilled cheese and red pepper soup, and my hubby and I split a donut. Everyone loved their food and it was much more affordable than many brunch places. The next time I visited, it was for an international supper club dinner. I ordered the veggie burger. It was very good. The bun was really soft and fresh– a must have for a good burger. My husband enjoyed his burger as well. Both times the service was top notch and the patio was so nice. I’ll be back!
