A simple diner with friendly service and delicious food. We were greeted with smiles and sincere suggestions for our breakfast. Affordable prices, good food and friendly staff are the reason why I will visit again the next time I am in St. Louis.

This place was delightful and affordably priced, especially for a downtown business. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. I had a chicken taco salad and was stuffed when I left. Couldn’t even eat the gargantuan brownie me and my co-worker were going to split. We’ll save it for later, lol.

This place offers typical grill food, and it’s pretty good for the price. I usually get the Plate Breakfast(eggs to order, bacon and English muffin) for $ 4.49. Nice down-home type place in downtown.

This place is okay if you want a $ 7 sandwich for something you could make better at home for way less. Nothing special or good about it.

I went here for lunch yesterday with a few coworkers. This place is a sandwich shop, similar to Subway or Jimmy John’s. I believe they serve breakfast as well, but we were obviously only there for lunch. They have some sandwiches you can order off the menu, but the most popular option seems to be the«build your own sandwich.» I thought this was a pretty good deal, as you get to pick your bread, 3 different meats, two different cheeses, whatever other toppings you want(lettuce, mustard, etc.), plus a bag of chips for $ 6.95. Not bad. They also have some combo deals for around $ 7.50, which include a half sandwich and salad. A couple of my coworkers chose this option. I got a sandwich with turkey, ham, and bacon, pepper jack, american, along with mustard. The sandwich was just your average size sandwich. Nothing huge, but not too small. The sandwich was pretty good. The only complaint I have about this place is that the tables where people sit are so close together. You really feel crammed in here. I’m sure I’ll come back here for lunch at some point. It’s not a bad option when you consider the price.

Edible Difference has saved me from the disgusting slop that Aramark’s food service provides at my work cafeteria. It took me about a year to finally stumble upon this humble establishment; if only it had happened sooner! The menu offers lunch fare and all of the items – although not fancy– are made with just plain good ingredients. Each day of the week carries with it rotating lunch specials. Just today I had the buffalo chicken po boy sandwich, perhaps the best meal I have had thus far! The sandwich came on a toasted hoagie with two breaded chicken filets covered in buffalo sauce with a slight drizzle of ranch on top. The buffalo sauce was spicy enough to give the sandwich the kick it required while the heat wasn’t overwhelming and would dissipate in between bites. This meal– like so many others here– is simple but extremely flavorful. There are also numerous sides that come with the meal such as pasta salad(awesome!) and fresh fruit. On top of it all is the friendliness of the wait staff. They are happy to give you suggestions on the various menu items and always seem very friendly, even during a perpetual lunch rush! Downtown STL really has a dearth of restaurants and this simple shop makes you wonder how no one has attempted to open similar joints. There certainly wouldn’t be a lack of customers as the ED will get packed by noon, try to arrive around 11:30 to beat the rush!

Sure, it’s not gourmet, but when looking around downtown St. Louis, something this place really has going for it, is that it’s open! The sandwiches are great, the soup is tasty, the prices are reasonable, everyone is friendly, I really don’t see any reason not to continue to give them my money. Now, if only someone could tell me what time to go so that I can avoid the line, I’d be in heaven.

Downtown STL def suffers from a lack of lunch options, but Edible offers a decent selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. I am a big salad fan, and though Edible salads look good, especially for the pre-packaged kind, I have been pretty disappointed. Wish they made/tossed fresh salads. The Club sandwich on wheat, no mayo, has become my go-to here. Comes with your choice of side — I personally like the fruit cup or the pasta salad cup.

Edible knows their wraps. Served Tuesdays and Thursdays, the buffalo chicken wrap is nothing fancy, and absolutely addicting. I also recommend the gyro wrap(Mondays), the chicken caesar wrap and the chicken BLT wrap(when available). A buffalo wrap and a bag of chips costs me $ 7.12 and is a perfectly-sized lunch, meaning it doesn’t leave me looking around for an additional snack at three o’clock in the afternoon. The wraps themselves are just under the size of those served at say, a Crazy Bowls & Wraps, but no rice-filler. And plenty of sauce so every bite is delicious.

Edible Difference is a simple no nonsense cafeteria/deli with a straight forward menu. Their menu includes salads, daily specials along with create your own sandwich options. They are also one of the few places that offers a full breakfast menu.

This place looks like a throwback to the 1950s or something, which I personally like. They serve a decent cobb salad and they have design-your-own sandwiches with a lot to choose from. The atmosphere is a cross between a deli and a cafeteria, but the food is cheap and the people are fun to watch. There are always specials that change daily, so keep your eye out for them!

One of my favorite lunch places in downtown St. Louis. When afflicted with Lunchtime Indecision, my feet inevitably wander over here because they have a good variety of quick, yummy, and inexpensive options and the people here are always friendly. My standbys are the create-a-sandwich(lots of bread, meats, cheeses, condiments and veggie choices) and the quiche & salad or soup combo. They also have daily specials, my fav being the Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
