A home based business. The guys and gal that run this place know what they are doing. They have a great aura around them while they sling the meat around. A must try is the Mississippi mud sauce a home based spicey mustard where only 6, including this guy know the recipe… trust me i put it on everything. Bobby, the most gracious owner will seriously make your day… and your mouths. Hot dogs 100 percent nathans he has polish brats with a array of burgers including turkey, bean and 100 angus. Best place to chill out of the bar… its like the water cooler at work youll make new friends and keep the ones you have.

Okay, you’re probably gonna ask«How does a hot dog stand get a 5?!?» Here’s how… When I was on a military deployment over the past year, some friends of mine approached owner/manager Bobby about acquiring some«Mississippi Mud»(a mustard-based sauce exclusive to Hot City Franks) to send to me in a care package. Not only did Bobby agree, he packed up his stand and went home to make me my own supply of it at 4AM on a Sunday morning! He bottled it up and sent it with my friends; a few weeks later, I got a taste of St. Louis in this most welcome surprise! Not only does Mississippi Mud make a bratwurst taste better, it makes a MRE suck a little less… Summarily, I give the food a 4-star rating. The 5th one is for the character and the support! Thanks again, Bobby!

Love hitting up Hot City Franks whenever I’m on Wash Ave on the weekend. I can’t leave without getting a hot dog with all the fixings and extra Mississippi Mud. Definitely would suggest to anyone who likes good food to head down there. Get some drinks and then get some awesome food to end the night. You will not regret it. I’ve taken easily over half a dozen people there and not a single person has disliked the food. So do yourself a flavor and get some!
