2÷2÷2016 Just left Mike Duffy’s after leaving the movie theater. The chicken wings and the service were very good. The pizza was okay. While finishing our meal a young lady came into the restaurant with a puppy! I enjoy dogs but I think that they have no place in a restaurant unless used as a service dog. While we were packing up to leave, a guy in a lime green shirt came from the kitchen area, said something to the young lady that had been holding the dog, who was now leashed to a chair, then began petting the dog. Once the guy was done petting the dog he headed for the kitchen door. Had I known that the establishment was pet friendly I would have never gone there and definitely will not return.

We came here for trivia night with a large group and really enjoyed it. This place has a well-rounded trivia and the night got quite exciting. Our group definitely loved it because unlike most clubs, they didn’t just focus on news and pop culture. They had quite a bit of music and science questions. Definitely something that you definitely needed a large group of people for. They had interesting prizes and a decent turn out for in the evening. I highly recommend it for a fun summer evening with a group of friends/co-workers.

This place has your typical, unimpressive bar food. I got the spinach artichoke dip which unfortunately came with tortilla chips instead of bread. It was mediocre at best. There was nothing memorable about the food or experience here, so I will not be returning.

I always enjoy Mike Duffy’s when I go. It’s a pretty standard pub/restaurant with OK service(sometimes a little slow, usually pretty friendly) and a decent selection of food and drink. I’ve never tried anything here that wasn’t good, but my favorite is the buffalo chicken rangoons. They have a nice heat profile and the sweet chile sauce that comes with them is great. I went in on a weekday just after they opened for the day and they were packed by the time I left! On that particular occasion, our server was incredibly attentive and a lot of fun.

Service was excellent! We loved our server — very friendly and attentive. We started with breaded mushrooms and fell in love with their version of horsey sauce they serve with the mushrooms! We wanted to put it on everything. The burgers, as the menu suggests, are quite … good, and I would recommend them. We all had burgers. They were large and tasty.

Came here on Friday night for dinner. It was pretty busy and the service was a little slow, but it was understandable. The staff was friendly. Good beer selection. Lots of TVs. Really yummy food! We will definitely go back.

Not the friendliest or most professional staff but you can get a great Bison burger and sweet potato fries… Not many bar & grills offer Bison !

lots of TV’s to display sports games, had a countdown monitor that counted the days down till St. Patrick’s day. There were a lot of options for food, and it’s good if you want dirt cheap american bar food.

Great people. Lots of variety. Easy on the pocketbook. Fast paced if you need good food in a hurry. It’s a hit!

Today was my first time here. Just happened to be in the neighborhood and, after consulting Unilocal,I liked the idea of a free jello shot which came up on my app. for this place. We ordered some wings and nacho’s. When the waitress delivered our beer I mentioned the jello shot. She abruptly but nicely told me they do not honor this anymore. Oh great, didn’t I feel stupid! The food was nothing special. The wings were very salty and the chicken was dry. The nachos were ok but I doubt I’ll be back. Sweet waitress.

I went to a trivia night here with a group of friends. When we checked in on Unilocal,we realized there was an offer for a free jello shot. When we showed the offer to the bartender, in a rude, condescending tone, she said, «Oh honey, those expired years ago.» Oookayy – then why are they still showing up on our phones? And even if they did expire, she shouldn’t have said it in a tone that suggested we were idiotic for trying to redeem the offer. The trivia night component was fun, but for me, didn’t outweigh how rude the bartender was.

Had the bacon cheese burger and cheese waffle fries with bacon. Burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. Fries that came with burger were crispy and fresh. The cheesy waffle fries were also crispy and fresh and there was plenty of cheese and bacon. The waitress was attentive and friendly.

I got sucked into trying Mike Duffy’s by clicking on one of those ads on my facebook feed. The pictures of their Thursday meatloaf specials spoke to me. What I was also drawn to was their claim of «Best Burger in St Louis since 1986». Well, being out and about this Saturday with a hunger for cow had me headed to the nearest Mike Duffy’s off Clayton Rd. I only expected a pub atmosphere and I was not disappointed. Looks like the kind of place that might be fun for late night brews and karaōke. But onto the grub. Tried the fried dill pickle app. Nicely sliced coins with light batter and a zesty Ranch-based sauce was good. Decent serving size. My wife and I each tried a burger. Mine with bacon and pepper jack, side of fries. Wife had pepper jack and onion rings, no pig. We both ordered«medium» which is described right up front on the webpage and the menu as «pink». On my first bite I knew it was going to be a let down. I smelled the abundant«liquid smoke» before it reached my gam, but upon tearing into the overcooked flesh I knew I was going to be disappointed in the burger. Not a trace of pink. Definitely medium well or well. Why point out meat temp on the menu if the cook can’t follow it? Every bite… massive liquid smoke taste/smell to the point of making it difficult to enjoy, even with smothering of Hunt’s ketchup. Fries were okay. Mama’s burger was also cooked beyond medium well. She wasn’t overcome by the liquid smoke taste/scent so maybe I got a heavy squirt on my patty? Her onion rings were somehow burnt and swimming in a pool of grease. She didn’t come close to finishing. 2 diet cokes completed the meal. Overall price before tip? Would you believe $ 40? Sadly, I could have gone to my neighborhood burger joint twice for that price and enjoyed it. This is crossed off my bucket list. Best since ’86? For St Louis’ sake, I can assure you this is a highly overconfident boast.

Regular bar food, went with the chicken salad sandwich. It was mediocre to bad, definitely not worth 10 bucks. The onion rings were really good and the staff was nice. Would have drinks here during a game or maybe a hungover greasy lunch.

I can’t judge this place for it’s drinks — I’m pregnant so that isn’t happening — but I had THE worst service and THE worst food ever here. We were ignored most of the time, and when we had to send back some buffalo chicken rangoons because they were black(they were burned THATBAD), we were made to feel like an inconvenience. My hubby’s soup gave him a stomach ache because it had too much of some seasoning — not sure what, but it was sickening. The chicken on my sandwich was so dry that I couldn’t chew it. We paid and left without eating much of the food, but no one bothered to ask why… and I didn’t volunteer that info because I know a lost cause when I see one. I rarely give no tip because waiters and waitresses work hard(I used to be one), but I couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t give money for service I didn’t get.

Pizza party! My last review was more for the atmosphere but this time it’s for carry out pizza. They have great«St. Louis» style pizza(thin crust with provel cheese) at a good price(half off on Tuesday’s). Today I had the pepper jack, bacon, & buffalo chicken. The pepper jack was my lease favorite in terms of uniqueness. But that’s because no pepper jack pizza can stand up to that of Gumby’s(in Columbia, MO). It didn’t taste very pepperjacky and more just like plain cheese. The bacon was great! Most pizza places try and pass of greasy, chewy, undercooked bacon strips on top off a pizza for their«bacon pizza». Duffy’s cooks the bacon all the way through and puts bacon bits/crumbles under the cheese. Much better and tastier. The buffalo wins 1st prize for tonight. They had the perfect buffalo-y sauce with yummy grilled chicken on top. It was full of flavor and really stood out from other places I have ordered a buffalo pizza. I highly recommend trying this one. I would consider Duffy’s next time you want to have some carry out pizza!

Doesn’t look that promising from the outside… when we pulled up I thought oh just another bar at the end of a strip plaza… Inside we were greeted and told them we would sit at the bar. That is when we met Sharon our bubbly little bartender with a big personality and a squeaky little voice. She is a gem… I ordered a mud-slide and she did a fabulous job with it… it just kept getting better and better — -it became a bottomless mudslide… ha The fish sandwich is very good there and well prepared. I opted for some chicken and rice soup and I would go here just for that… it was wonderful and warm and just hit the spot. There is a mix of ages there from young families to college aged to 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. They have a well stocked bar and a big variety of liquors so I believe they could whip up anything you may be having a yearning for. I noticed they have karaōke on Saturday nights and in the fall Tues, and Sat. I cannot wait to go back for this…

Typical bar food here and my hubby and kids loved the burgers. We had a big group and most of them ordered the burgers. I ordered chili and a salad. I didn’t get my food with everyone else, I waited and when it didn’t show up, I asked where it was. Then I got it. I have to say that I really didn’t like how cold it was in there. Most of our group ate with their coats on(major pet peeve of mine). Also, it really smelled of bleach. I’m talking like you just cleaned your bathroom, it was that strong!

This place has the best burgers I have ever tasted, both hands down the best! Its so hard to describe the burger but its almost like eating a steak, it has that steak, smokey, right off the grill, still hot, charcoal fire taste. No seriously I am not kidding. I had my burger medium rare and it was so incredibly tender and juicy and the juices were dripping down like it had been in a commercial. The bun is a sesamee bun and even that was toasted to perfection. I am not exaggerating and sugar coating this review. If you really want a good burger, come here go no where else. We also had the nachos appetizer and this beast can seriously feed 5 people easily. I give the nachos a 10 and the burger a 100. mmmm Perfections(kissing fingers italian style)
