This place is yummy, love the warm feeling we get when we are here, feels like family. It is a definite try. Pizza and there spaghetti are great!!! And Sara is awesome!!!

Great local pizza joint. The pizza is better than imo’s in my opinion because the tips don’t goto the edge and they actually leave an edge crust here. I like that.

Not impressed. Super expensive pizza for a cheese pizza it’s $ 15. And funny thing is every time I order the same items the price changes. 5heir pizza is under whelming and the salads are plain lettuce and cheese for $ 8. Service is so bad might as well do it yourself. and the family always has a large table to themselves to sit around and eat or whatever. Do not ever sit there you will be asked to move. I really don’t know how they make it.

The servers are very sweet here… Not to mention the fantastic Italian cuisine. They also have a few American options which really helps with the menu spiel… If you’re in the area come check them out. Best pizza in my opinion in the entire St. Louis region

What can I say. I been going too this Resturant for 30 years. And all of the food is still as great as when the first open the doors. What ever Italian dish is your favorite. You not be disappointed. And I will be for another 30

I cannot say enough about this place. A good old fashioned mom and pop restaurant where you feel like family. Great place to bring the kids and please try the pizza. I have brought several friends that were Italian here and they’re bed on how it tasted like there grandmothers cooking. Now that says something!

I’ve been going here for 10+ years and never had a problem with a carry out… tonight was different. Got my food home and I was missing an entire order of spaghetti. I called them and when I asked to have it delivered, which they do, the young girl told me it would be more than an hour. I reminded her they messed my order up and I should have a priority delivery, she refused. I went back and when I complained again, they offered me cheese garlic bread which I was gonna have to wait for. I didn’t want free food and I didn’t want a credit. I wanted them to make this right and that meant delivering it and making it a priority delivery.

I grew up in the area and I love the food. Pizza is delicious but we’ve stopped going here because we got tired of the owners grandkids running wild and interrupting our meals. Once one of the kids actually sat down at our table with us and played with his toys! It’s really a shame because the food really is good.

Interior is rough and dated but I knew I was in for a treat when I saw a few Italian women laughing and knitting at one of the tables. I absolutely loved the pie!

If you like Imo’s, you’ll love N&E’s! The crust is buttery and handmade, no prefabricated shell here. The sausage seems like they make it fresh and is freekin’ awesome. Good is good and this is great St. Louis style pizza.

Beware if you’re ordering carry out and ask for a total. There was a six dollar difference from my total I was given over the phone to the total I had to pay when I pick up my order. I was told the difference was in sales tax. I don’t believe that. I thought the prices were kinda high and the food was just okay.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Seriously. When you drive past this restaurant, it’s outside appearance isn’t that grand. It’s obviously an old building and the lot that it sits on is very small. But on a Friday night, this little place is the spot! There are usually so many cars that some people have to park in the open lot next door. Don’t expect that to be a smooth ride! I’ll just leave it at that. Now let’s get to the good stuff! The food here is really good! I’ve tried a few of their pizzas and also the Chicken Fettuccine. All of my orders have been carry out only. While their New York style pizza is good. It doesn’t quite compare to an authentic New York pizza. The slices are average size and there’s a lack of the grease factor. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Their other pizzas are also good. I tried one of the St Louis style pizzas and was pleasantly surprised. If you’re expecting their St Louis style pizzas to taste like IMOs, you’re going to be disappointed. I will just say that this restaurant’s version holds it’s own and that’s just fine with me! I still order their St Louis style pizza on occasion when I want to try something different for a change. The Chicken Fettuccine was also very good. The portions are very large and filling. It comes with a side of bread as well. Although the bread really doesn’t do anything for me though. One other thing that I tried was the cheese sticks! I would say that those are absolutely delicious! Nothing spectacular about them. They were just your average cheese sticks! I’m just glad that my expectations were met with those and of course they came with marinara sauce. Overall I think that this venue is a good one. Although it can become pretty crowded sometimes, the staff is really nice and accommodating! I would definitely recommend that you check this place out at least once. The food is pretty basic. But the overall warmth of the staff and the family environment make up for that.

Waitress was very nice. Unfortunately, service was slow. Needed a chain saw to get through the crust. «Cheese» was not«real» cheese as advertised. I inquired if it was real mozzarella… waitress confirmed it was real cheese. Sauce was great. For the most part… flavorless minus the sauce. Topping choices are VERY limited. Won’t go back. I would order Dominoes and be much happier.

This place is constantly packed… And I don’t know why! The pizza is below average I eat alot of pizza from alot of different places and this is 1 of the worst in St Louis… $ 15 for lasagna it wasn’t worth it… I can name you a dozen pizzas in stl that are way better and not far away from this dump… let’s see lapizza, erios, balduccis… just to name a few… I guess if you’ve never eaten at another Italian restaurant you would like this place otherwise keep looking… don’t listen to the North County locals that it’s good… most of them never leave or eat anywhere but North County…

Nick and Elena’s is my second favorite pizza place period! They are just nosed out by Geno’s East by the width of a pepperoni. I have been going there since 2005 and tell everyone how great they are. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. Worth the wait and the drive. Great, great pizza!

Nice folks, really not recommended for the food or location. Young girl serving me was super nice. So I don’t visit this part of the US too often, and maybe the«style» is more of a local this as some reviewers have suggested. But I have had California, Chicago, and New York pizza as well as pizza in Northern and Southern Italy. Whatever this style is, its not something I would ever recommend. I ended up here because I was staying in a nearby hotel for a work conference. I got into town late and this was one of the only places that appeared as open. I am thankful for the fact that they were open, but sorry after I ate there. Had the house salad and a small pizza. The salad was some iceberg lettuce, ONE small slice of tomato and a huge handful of play dough cheese. OK its probably somewhat fresh mozzarella that is extruded out a press, but I just kept thinking of pressed play-dough from the consistency and wow there was a ton of cheese covering a tiny salad. I have to think the pizza had some mozzarella and Velveeta slices on it, but it was hard to tell. Why would it be hard to tell, just look at it right? Well imagine eating in the living room of a friends house, with one little light on the ceiling in the center of the room. That’s eating at this restaurant. Dark but not at all cozy, or romantic. And yes Velveeta on pizza may be your thing, but I found it gross(Keep it for nacho dips please). If I remember correctly it was their recommended supreme pizza.(little late writing this one). I love supporting local family run places, but cannot recommend this.

Ok, Unlike someone else who reviewed and said they were a world traveler, I have grew up in New York. I travel a lot too. Spent a few years in South Africa. I spend about 60 nights a year in hotels all over the US. And… I am Italian. This is NOT good food. We tried the Pizza, Arancini, Toasted Ravioli, Fried Fish and Chicken Parmesan. Lets do a quick run down: The Salad — it had some weird spaghetti looking cheese on it. We decided to skip it. Asked for the dressing on the side… came flooded with it. There may have been just as much dressing as there was salad. Chicken Parm — The chicken itself was ok(this is the highpoint of the meal). The sauce tasted like it was from a can. There was nothing special about this. The seasoning tasted weird. Fried Fish — I think that the Filet O Fish at McD’s is better… and I don’t eat at McDs. Toasted Ravioli — Lets get something out of the way… this is not«toasted» it is deep fried. Now everyone in STL may know that and if that is the case call a spade a spade. When you toast something it is very different then being deep fried. These were ok, but they were too dry… because, again the sauce isn’t very good at all. Arancini — The size was perfect — about the size of a tennis ball. But once you bite into it, it tastes… funny. If I had to guess it was precooked(either in the oven or deep fried) and then refried before serving it. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but it was served with(you guessed it) more sauce. I think they are using some type of processed yellow cheese… not mozzarella, which was an interesting choice(that isn’t a complement). The Pizza — This is supposed to be the hallmark, right? I mean they make«New York Pizza». In a word, NO. Here are places that has better NY Pizza — Sbarros, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns and even DiGionos. I would even eat Totinos’ be for this again Look, we had pizza the other day at the Good Pie. It is downtown on Olive St near Pappy’s. Incredible Brick oven pizza. It isn’t NY pizza, but it is a very good Neapolitan style. If you can go there, you won’t regret it. I have eaten at some amazing italian restaurants. And I don’t think that Nick & Elena’s are expected to be in the same league as some of those. But the problem is, Olive Garden is night and day better. Honestly, nothing tasted homemade. Everything tasted like it was purchased in frozen mass quantities(or in a can), deep fried, then sent out as Italian food. I suppose if i grew up on this, and didn’t know better… nah, it is still bad.

You want a little dining place, old lit up sign, run by italian immigrants in the midwest for the best pizza you ever had in your life? This is where it is. I’m a globe traveler, but so far, New York, Chicago, California and Western Europe, I have not come across a pizza that beats this place in good ‘olé St. Louis, Missouri. I’ve been coming to this little italian american joint since I was two weeks old brought in by my parents where they put me on the table in my little baby seat and tasted my first bit of Nick and Elena’s pizza. There pizza is made to crisp seasoned and perfect proportioned perfection. Cheeses they use are different than the typical pizza cheeses, which makes the pizza come out looking with a orange like color. Get the supreme to go all out with the toppings or a meat lovers, whatever the selection, the deliciousness will impact your body with every crisp bite of St. Louis style pizza. For some reason I cannot get enough of their fresh mozzarella cheese graded, must ask for extra of this with your salad, pizza and pasta. The house salad is also fresh, crisp and great tasting with a delicious house style dressing. I used to almost always order a kid’s portion of spaghetti and meatballs simply because of their amazing homemade meat sauce recipe. All these are a must have at this place. For entertainment, they have an old jukebox from the 50s/60s. Everytime my dad and I stroll in he insists on placing a few quarters to play songs from his hit generation. Ridiculous that the jukebox still works! Some of the owners or at least family members are almost always there. Mention to them you love the place. But don’t be offended by their immigrant italian husky manners. They make a mean pizza that will be your taste buds up making you coming back for more.

Having lived in Oland since ’05(moving away for a short time to head to college in southern MO), this place has been my go to. My family was introduced to it, and they have fallen in love with N&E. Don’t hate me, but I really am a fan of their New York style. It is made with mozzarella. Not a fan of the St Louis Style. I was raised here, yes, but does that mean I embrace the provel thing? No. Their supreme is amazing, as is the special salad. Family friendly atmosphere. Great place to hit up when you want to hang with friends or to stop by on the way to Lambert to have a little treat 30,000 feet away.
