I’m going to keep this real simple: if it has to have the city in the name it’s not the real deal: «Philly» cheesesteak 1⁄5 narrow bread doesn’t taste day fresh… meat is subpar more like a roast beef sandwich Fries: 3⁄5 the only saving grace for this place

I spoke with the corporate office and they said they were going to send me coupon vouchers and shoot me another email, but they never did. Terrible service. If I could give zero stars I would.

I have been to other locations a couple times before and had one of their sandwiches at work once that someone had picked up for my «team.» The first time I didn’t like the chicken teriyaki and didn’t really eat much of it. I figured I just got something I didn’t like, no big deal, other than wasting $ 10 on a sandwich. The other two times were fine, I think getting chicken parmesan both times. This location experience, however, was so bad, I felt the need to review it. First, I knew they were expensive for what it is, but they still managed to be $ 2-$ 3 per sandwich more expensive than I expected. If it was good, that would have been okay. Not great, but okay. I think we waited about 15 minutes for two sandwiches and a medium fry. My chicken parmesan had almost on sauce on it, so it was just cheese and chicken, plus the mushroom I added, which was optional. I believe it also lacked oregano and parmesan that were supposed to be on it. It really needed the sauce, but I ate it anyway. I didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes to get sauce on it. There were also large parts of the bread that had nothing on it. For $ 10, this should not happen. Strike 3 if you count ALL the sandwich issues as one, but it doesn’t end there. The fry oil was so old, the french fries were not edible for me OR my husband(who will eat almost anything). To top of their disgusting flavor, they had no salt to redeem them. This was bad enough that after 2 fries, I took it back to the counter to get a refund, which they processed, but it took a while. Honestly, I should have taken our entire meal up to the counter for a refund, but we managed to get everything else down, despite not being any good. My husband did not like his philly cheeseteak sandwich at all(like I said, he’ll eat anything, and he loves philly cheesesteaks). Then he was in and out of the bathroom that night for a few hours, and he is almost never affected this way by food. He can eat things that are expired or sitting out all night that needed to be refrigerated without a problem. But this sandwich made him sick. It was also completely soaked in spicy-brown mustard, which he clearly said to NOT put on the sandwich, to the point that it was sitting in a big pile of mustard fluid, making the bread soggy. The receipt didn’t say the mustard was on it, but it clearly was. He also bought a cookie, which says baked in the store. They should really think about using Nestle’s recipe, because the cookie was bad(how do you mess up a chocolate chip cookie?), and he’s not picky about chocolate chip cookies. It was also 1⁄3 of the size it should have been for the price. Between this experience and their ridiculous prices, I can safely say neither of us will ever be going to any Penn Station ever again.

I think they messed up putting our order into the computer so they just didn’t make it until I eventually asked if it was still coming.

I’ve eaten at this location multiple times and it never disappoints! The staff is super friendly! I love their grilled subs and always have to order a side of the fresh cut fried! They’re amazing! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good lunch.

Clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Not unreasonable wait for food. You know it’s fresh. Philly cheesesteak is awesome. Fresh cut fries very tasty. Bread was soft and seemed fresh. Tuesday is family night and free 6″ with a sandwich order. Highly recommend.

Great Service, good price point, VERYCLEAN! This is my second visit & all has stayed consistent. I recommend the fresh cut fries for sure. They are made with peanut oil too… YUM!

I love the steak and cheese with fresh cut fries. This is not a health food type of sandwich shop so don’t visit if that is what you are expecting. However, if you want a nice fattening lunch then this is the place.

I’d like to give 2.5, but since that’s not an option and my last experience at this location was less than stellar… they get 2 stars. Fries are only edible when you ask for them well-done, otherwise they come out limp and soft, rather than stiff and crispy. Cheesesteaks are either wicked amazing or shoe leather. I’ve had both, never one in the middle. Sometimes the service is ok, sometimes is just sucks. It’s like you’re bothering them by being there. That would play better if their product was just flat amazing, but let’s face it, it’s a sandwich, not filet mignon. Location rocks, pretty close to lots of stuff.

What is with the bad reviews. I had no idea what to expect. Walked away very happy with my Philly Cheese steak and fries(love the malt vinegar). Ya it’s a little greasy but grease is fat and fat is flavor. As for the moron who ordered a «regular» Penn Station doesn’t have a regular so how could the person know what you meant? Lite, small, medium or large. Not rocket science. I will add Penn Station to my lunch circuit.

By and large Penn Station is a great place to get subs. I have visited the locations on Olive and Dorsett in St Louis, O’Fallon and Collinsville in Illinois and never had food that wasn’t great quality. I love their bread so much. The fries are the bomb, the perfect mix of soft and cripsy. If you love true fried potatoes you will love the fries.

Ewwww. I hate Penn Station. It is nasty, oily greased grossness. Do not go there if you are vegetarian. You will get a grilled onion sandwich. Go to Jimmy John’s if you want a decent sandwich!

It’s been a while since I been to Penn Station but it’s always been good. Yeah, it’s a little greasy but I think that’s what made it so good. :) That could be due to the sandwich I got. I’ve never had a philly cheese that wasn’t a little greasy. The artichoke and cheese is excellent of your looking for something without meat. Don’t give up on it if it was your first time.

I’ve eaten here a few times, but after my last visit, not again. The employee I spoke to was an idiot. When I said, «regular size» he said, «I don’t know what regular means.» I was trying to order a medium and the word regular confused the guy! Excuse me, medium sir!!! Oh and I also got a fine case of food poisoning there. I hate throwing up and I hate the thought of employees not washing their hands even more.

I used to like this sandwich shop. However, lately it’s gone down hill. In fact, my last(and final) visit resulted in food poisoning. And to top it all off, when the manager of the store was informed, he assured me that it wasn’t from his store. I hadn’t eaten anything else that day and I was sick that night and all of the next day. I didn’t want anything from him; I was just informing him.
