Food was not very good. Had a Philly Steak, meat wasn’t good quality and it was lukewarm. Bread was similar to Subway’s. Husband and son were disappointed as well. Staff was extremely nice. Will not be going back.

So I have been to here twice. I have ordered the same thing each time. The only sub that I have tried is the Gyro Sub. The first time that I ordered it, I tried the regular tzatziki sauce. It is a decent sub. Lots of gyro meat. My brother was with me. He ordered the Texas Buffalo Chicken sub. He was not impress. First the tempt of the sandwich was luke warm and the heat of the buffalo sauce was on the weak side. My second visit, I saw how the gyro meat was cooked. It came out of a box in strips and it was nuked. The gyro meat taste just like it was carved off a spit, but knowing that it came in a box might curb me from coming back as often. The sandwich is decent. This time I tried the spicy tzatziki sauce. It had some kick to it. I personally didn’t like the spicy version. So if I come back for this sub, I will stick to the regular sauce.

Sadly this is probably going to be the only review ever written for New York Sub. First let’s start with the name, New York Sub, implying you only sell one sub? Now the best way to describe this place is if Subway and Quizno’s had a special baby. The location is actually a previous quizno’s and you can still tell. They’ve poorly painted the walls and you still see the Quizno’s logo underneath. Their menu is virtually identical to subways with the addition of a Gyro that they put in their Subway toaster(The«subway» logo has been covered by a home made label). They claim to have fresh pressed panini’s but no panini machine. Their bread choices are the same as subway’s and so are all of their meats, toppings, and dressings. I literally felt like I was in a bizzaro subway. I hate to rip on a proprietor, especially one who’s just starting out and trying really hard. They were extremely friendly, and priced about the same as subway, but here’s my big problem. If you’re going to open your own sub place, don’t steal an already crappy and saturated idea.
