Great remodel job on this Soulard property! fast friendly, bubbly service. Great place to catch a shuttle to the game.

I have been here two times so far and the first time was pretty good. Decent food, service was good and the beer is priced well. Next time. Not so much… Apparently if you get there an hour before a game starts more than half the seats are reserved… Not even 20%full… Walked around for about ten minutes trying to figure out a way to watch a game there and finally the bar tender told us he had a few scraggly seats available. But not even two together. Not happy. I will avoid this place from now on.

Great food and an awesome new upscale sports bar in Soulard! You have to check out the bacon gnocchi and carnitas nachos!

Awesome service every time I’ve been here, and tried the brunch for the first time today. The corned beef and hash browns are AMAZING as are the peach-spiked mimosas! Visit Shelly and Teddy and you won’t be disappointed.

Though the UK Wildcats lost today, I still really enjoyed my time here. It is now the official UK Alumni bar in STL. We ordered appetizers: wings(very good & «hot» was perfectly spicy — don’t forget the ranch), deviled eggs(some felt were too mustardy, some liked them), spinach/artichoke dip(very good, but the pitas could have been softer). The guys would have liked a beer list, but enjoyed the FantasyLand by Urban Chestnut(IPA) nonetheless. The Shirley Temple was on point for my pregnant sister-in-law, and 2 of the 3 margaritas I had were good, but I think the third was just tequila and club soda, which was an ironic sour ending with the basketball loss. The entrees sounded great, and I would like to return to try the salmon in particular!

I paid $ 16 + tax for food, and that got me a side-salad-sized salad with a handful of tiny pieces of steak on a bed of lettuce and a sparse sprinkling of cherry tomatoes and a side of asparagus with seven flimsy little spears. It all tasted good, but I was still hungry at the end. Yikes. My friend’s huge sandwich, though, cost $ 8 and came with a side. Now I know. However, service was great, and the plentiful tvs with all the sports packages mean I’ll be back, even if the lighting was oddly bright for a bar… and that salad. Sigh.

This place can be fun on the right night, but the bartenders are awful. They are super slow and confused by the POS system they have. It’s like many of them haven’t worked in the service industry at all and no one is coaching them up. A lot of the bartenders are also over the hill rode hard put away wet types. Just not great for the atmosphere of the place. All that being said I have had a decent time in there. Just don’t expect anything fast and you’re probably better off just buying buckets of beer.

This place is awesome! My favorite off the menu is the bison burger, it’s phenomenal. Couldn’t ask for better service. I’ll be coming back a lot, and with friends!

By far best food in the neighborhood. Steven is an A class chef and Neil makes you feel at home. This isn’t your average joe bar food. Come enjoy the atmosphere. This is a bar and thy make accommodations when you ask. I’m a Vikings fan and they make room for our group. I’d prefer the touch tunes over the the sound of semi winning a game. The staff is awesome and always makes your time a great one. If you like real sports bars with the rules of a sports bar come on down.

We came to Shelly’s for the first time today to watch the football playoffs. The bar seems like a good place for this with ample tvs and interesting upscale décor a sports enthusiast would appreciate. However, the volume on the tvs was turned off, and the Touch Tunes was on full blast, so instead of being able to hear the game, we were subjected to listening to other peoples’ musical selections throughout the entire game. Not sure if this is the norm, but we weren’t thrilled that we weren’t able to hear the telecast at all. Bottom line: if your are wanting to watch and listen to a game, this is not the place.

I attended a going away party at their upstairs bar. Holy nuts this place is NICE. Someone spent some $ upgrading the place. It is probably the nicest casual bar in Soulard. And the food was pretty memorable too. Nikki was our bartender and I know her from another bar in Soulard… she is always on point.

I was absolutely floored by how awesome this place was. Comfortable seating, bar tenders with brains/memories, DirecTV so they have live sports going and the food. The food was the best bar food I’ve ever had, they really should be a suit down restaurant with the quality of food they produce, but I have no problem with the awesome atmosphere they provide. I went for a work holiday party and we all shared so I was able to try so many things, all of which blew my mind. I will be going back time and time again.

I think it’s the best bar in Soulard. Clean, nice, good service and never wall to wall with college D-Bags. Been there a few times and always good

Very impressed with this new addition to Soulard. Great steak salad, atmosphere, beer selection, staff, everything. We ate downstairs, but the upstairs seemed like the place to be, especially at night and on the weekends.

As a 5 year neighbor who lives on Menard South of Shelly’s let me tell you I’m a new convert. Today was the third time I’ve eaten there for lunch or dinner. The list of spectacular things that I absolutely love is as follows in no particular order as I love them all equally: –Atmosphere, this is where you bring a classy let chill date. The staff are professional youthful and mature. The interior is decked out with a healthy balance of professional, college, and military sports memorabilia. It really is for everyone guys, girls, locals and visitors are going to be comfortable welcomed and happy. –The FOOD… good food in Soulard is easy to find. Stellar blow your mind and AFFORDABLE food you have to know where to look. –The clientele if you meet a friendlier group of good looking, hard working, and warm clientele be sure to let me know, I expect to be waiting quite a while. –The owner. I met Shelly today for the first time. Talk about an owner who has her game face on while also being available, open, and honest. There are a few in Soulard who Shelly is on par with such as Judith, Bob, Joanie, Jeff, and Nadine. –The conglomeration effect that this Soulard restaurateurs owners group pulls off by having something for every taste, event, and liking truly elevates the neighborhood to a sane mix of safe and fun. I love my neighborhood and I love these owners. Shelly welcome to the A-TEAM.’ –The building. At first I was afraid, I was petrified, I kept thinking I could never live without Clementines as my side neighbor. But then I saw so many lights and I new that this corner would be so strong and now the building is back and it’s here to carry on. I love walking into this place as it feels so classy when I see that smiles on the staff’s faces. Go on now walk out that back door to the back bar you’ll get along, and I will survive! :) At first I was afraid and terrified, I didn’t know what I would do without Clementine’s by my side. But then I saw those up lights and restored second floor railings and I new that I highly recommend Shelly’s father and my favorite the glazed pork chop. High quality low fat yet juicy succulent and tangy, I’m stealing this recipe as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Make Shelly’s your number one dinning room in Soulard, the one you have in your house is nice so why mess it up? P. S. ShellyThank you for improving our block

Great bar in the soulard area! The outside patio is nice and there is also a great upstairs in addition to the main bar. The main bar is great and the bartenders are super friendly! The food is great! I got the smashed burger with chips. Highly recommend.

Wow. A very impressive new establishment in the heart of Soulard. Downstairs bar inside is the biggest at the place, ample space throughout. Upstairs is really what sets this place apart. It’s kind of a cool clash between a sports bar and an upscale joint. Leather chairs and fancy tables, but like 15 tvs and a foosball table. Played 90s music indri day night when we went. Also a cool little balcony outdoors for a smoke or a view. Tasty food as well and a sports shuttle. Very cool place

Great spot to watch sports. The food was definitely a highlight here. The crab cakes appetizer is amazing… better than many of the more expensive places in stl. I also tried the steak pita and side salad. Both very good! Overall great addition to the soulard neighborhood!

Really impressed by this addition to the neighborhood! As a member of the 20 – 25 Year old female demographic– for me, sports bars can go one of two ways. Obviously male-oriented with overtly sexualized attire for the staff and wings/beer on the menu. Or there’s a place like Shelly’s. Great good(burgers, apps, entrees all moderately priced), friendly staff, **beautiful** bar, fun and casual ambiance. The whole nine. Plus, I can go in by myself and feel perfectly comfortable– Cannot say what a HUGE plus that is. I’ll definitely be back when hockey season is in full swing.

Finally, food you can eat at a sports bar. Delicious Steaks, Salads, Appetizers. The atmosphere is comfortable, friendly, and loaded with screens. They have a nice outdoor patio and a really cool upstairs lounge.

Nicest $$ sports bar in Soulard & maybe St Louis, but has yet to have their«Grand Opening».(using temporary paper menus & has not advertised) Sony HDTVs with DirectTV EVERYWHERE(includes HDMI inputs in booths for business meetings, lunches & dinners) USB charging & standard outlets EVERYWHERE Men’s restrooms are nicer than most women’s rooms at the«nicer restaurants»… I saw a couple happily coming out of the large lockable men’s restroom upstairs. Excellent selections of beers(different drafts on both levels) & top shelf liquors. Why 4 star? This is actually still a «soft opening»(not a franchise) so seems to be working through a learning stage with employees & menu selections. Example– they said they are trying to make everything fresh & are not set up to make bulk fresh fries… therefore no fries. Off temporary menu– I really like the spinach artichoke dip… However, it was delightfully thick & chunky & needed utensils. I would call it a «spread» vs dip on the new menu to emphasis the quality. Bison burger was phenomenal & needed no extra doctoring by any of us at our table.(That is not normal) Billy Goat Chips were offered with the sandwiches. My friends really liked the sweet potato style. I got BACON flavored gnocchi n(y)ok-ee or nyoh-kee for $ 2 up-charge(not sure how to pronounce or if that will be future up-charge). It was too good to share, but my friends stole & loved it also.

Shelly’s is really a great all around sports bar and grill. Extensive renovations on both floors, lots of sports memorabilia. Also a major improvement overall since it was previously Clementine’s bar. Great balcony upstairs for Mardi Gras celebrations in Soulard.
