I stopped in here for on my first day in Saint Louis. A friend recommended the area as the place to go in the downtown area. She moved to CA a couple of years ago and I guess she didn’t realize that this part of town has kind of dried up, maybe it is the effect of Ballpark Village. Regardless for a Wednesday evening the place was fairly busy, the bartender who served me was super. She seemed to be the only quality person working that night! To be fair, I was on «break» from alcohol during my stay in St Louis – this place would be much better if I was drinking!

Girls are out of control hot, but the service is atrocious. There aren’t enough servers to take care of the crowd, and the servers don’t seem to be focused on good service… they’re more focused on flirting. I walked to the bar. Waited for 15 minutes. Nobody served me. Never coming back here.

You aren’t going to this place for the food — let’s face facts. The painted breasts are the number 1 draw of this place. I like to hit this place after work or before/after blues/cards games with my guys from work. Most of the girls are pretty good looking and are always pretty nice. However, I wouldn’t be getting too complicated with my order — no girls putting them self through college here. Their buckets are reasonably priced and I’ve had a good time most visits. The people watching in this place is second to none.

Social House is definitely… interesting. After not being able to find the bar we set out to go to, we decided«let’s just go here!» Let me note, our group consisted of two couples + another male friend. We walked in and my first thought as a girl dashed by was«that is not a very good sports bra, she’s bouncing all over the place.» Well I soon realized that’s because it was a painted on top. We didn’t realize what we were getting into but decided there were empty seats and cold beer on a Saturday night, so let’s just stay. I loved our waitress she was super friendly and we had a good time. Some servers(like ours) I think were happy to be servers but knew they could make a little more money if their tops were painted on. Other servers I think would have fit in at… other establishments. One in particular had on sky high heels, her painted on «top» was basically just a small rectangle splash of paint, and she constantly was letting customers cop a feel or climbing into their booths/laps. I guess good for her but that was a little too much. It gave us something to laugh about /watch though, while having a blast with our server who didn’t act like that(and, smartly, wore gym shoes instead). Apparently for $ 75 you can also get your top painted on as well in a big glass room, but not sure my fiancée would have appreciated that so we passed on that. As long as you know what you’re getting yourself into, or if you don’t like we did and can roll with the punches, our glasses were rarely empty and we were able to sit to watch the hawks blues game. Worked for me!

Have to start by saying if your uptight this isn’t the place for you. The servers have their tops painted on. Super cool theres no way I could do something like that. I ordered a pork lion sandwich and it was ok. I think the fact that it was almost the size of my plate was what was most impressive about it. Our waitress wasn’t attentive at all. She only had one other table and disappeared twice for very long. We even asked someone else to bring our check. I think if I came here again I would make sure it was busy during the week lunch time is probably the best bet.

Stopped here for a drink and a burger and not very impressed. I ordered the Frisco burger which was advertised as a ½ pound but they must have weighed it with the bread and all the fixing because it was the smallest ½ pound burger I have ever had and I ordered onion rings which when they brought it to me they forgot and gave me fries but when I was almost done with the burger they did bring me out the onion rings so I guess it wasn’t a total loss. The girls working there have their chest painted which sounds like a blast but one of the girls there was about 5 months Pregnant which I thought was very very odd. Not something I was expecting to see for sure! This was my first time at the Social House and I really doubt there will be a second. Wasn’t expecting 5 star food and service but sure wasn’t expecting 2 star either.

We just ate there and the pizza was very bland but let’s face it everyone goes for the girls, save your money and go to a better restaurant.

Staff ignored us for 30 minutes so we left. I understand being busy but ignoring us completely was … wait for it … ignorant. We were here a year ago and returned because we enjoyed the food. What a difference a year makes! Not coming back until I see a new restaurant in this space.

This is NOT my kind of place. I was dragged here by friends during a bachelor party. I told them I would not go to Illinois for the«typical» bachelor party activities, something I cannot stand and will not patronize. Instead they brought me here. I walked in and saw what I would describe as a «frat boy» bar with a «frat boy» feel. I was not impressed and couldn’t wait to leave. Their claim to fame that night was some poor little girl with who knows what going on in her head, with body paint on, and that’s about it. I don’t know what else to add to this review. If you want a sketchy atmosphere with music that’s too loud, drinks that are too weak, people that smell like stale cigarettes, bad parking and less than savory people waiting for you outside… then this is your place. I will stay away from now on… as at 33 years old I guess I am WAY too old for this type of thing… and thankfully so. Now, give me a quiet bar with complex people and a classy black Russian… that’s something I call fun.

Has to be the dirtiest bar in stl. We came for lunch, but left in fear of getting an incurable disease.

This review is specifically for lunch or watching sports during the day(I can’t speak to the nightlife scene). This is basically a localized version of hooters(with bodypaint) and I think they do a nice job. For bar/sporting food, its all pretty tasty and they have a solid set of TVs.

Don’t know why there are so many poor reviews. The waitresses and staff are the friendliest in the city!

This place is crazy. I don’t know why it has so many bad reviews. It’s a dive bar in Soulard, they’re supposed to be mean– it adds character. But how many dive bars have you been to that have waitresses that only wear body paint? Seriously, that’s worth at least 3 stars right there… it’s not for the faint of heart or those with delicate sensibilites.

Do you like untz-untz music and douchbags? Neither do I, which is why I didn’t like it here. It’s funny that I’m the duke with 2 visits. If they didn’t have a real bathroom, I never would have gone in. In the words of Milwaukee’s famous James K. «stay away stay far away»

A friend of mine and I walked in on a weekday. There was a handful of people at the bar… most of them looked strung out. Neither of the two bartenders acknowledged us. We waited for a few minutes, and the really just felt ignored and out of place. Maybe if your tweaking your experience will be better here. We left and headed over to Cuz’ across the street.

The music they play is pretty useless(but then, this wouldn’t be terribly unusual for a college bar), drinks are weak, and overall this place is classless. It’s free in on certain nights of the week, which is a plus, but it’s pay in on weekends, which I couldn’t imagine anyone being assed in doing personally, but then again, you’re going to find someone who will. So if you enjoy partying with dolled up, plastic looking college kids and under — agers who are drinking, then by all means be sure to hit up Social House. Otherwise, best to give it a miss.

Total college bar theme. Feel of frat house– Red Bull patio tables(used indoor), ovesized oak panel booths & video games. MORERESTROOMS– down the stairs and to the left! I saw Golden Tee, Power Putt, Ms Pac-Man, Galaga, Big Buck Safari, super shot(basketball), a pool table and the boxing(see how hard you can punch) is the choice of game entertainment. (I was told) the DJ mixes w/a drummer on Wednesdays & Saturdays for a different sound.(I saw) they have a guy come in and make ballon figurines…(check pics) Yes, they do allow minors on «college night» and charge covers so this is not my type of bar, but I can understand the appeal.
