Go to the location in the Loop, the one on the SLU campus is not as personable. The premium sandwiches are pretty good but the normal deli sandwiches are not much to write home about.

Decent sandwich selection with average STL prices. It’s a cross between Quizno’s and Pickles. A little more gourmet, but definitely has the fast food vibe. I was a little disappointed by only two bread options(white and wheat). Not sure if it’s on my short list, but a great addition to the SLU campus.

This place does make great sandwiches, but it’s not really worth the $$$ in my book. I’ve always thought Jimmy John’s was over priced, but doesn’t look too bad compared to snarfs. A 12 in will run you about $ 10 for the sandwich alone. Not bad for a sit down, but this is really just a quick in and out sandwich place. Again, good sandwiches, just over priced.

I’m now officially a Snarf’s regular. I love coming here and grabbing some good delicious subs. The Italian has to be my favorite though sometimes I cheat on it with the brisket. My coworkers order them on the regular which is a problem because I’m trying to limit my takeout but I can’t resist Snarf’s. I’m always happy with my order and experience here.

Excellent sandwiches. I love the rotisserie chicken with Swiss. Add lettuce, tomatoes, and spicy peppers and you’re in for a treat! As far as the service, they are quick and usually friendly. I have had a few unfriendly employee encounters but they are pretty accommodating.

Went back to Snarfs after the owner graciously offered me a $ 10 gift card to give them another try. Ordered their«Italian» sandwich on white bread with hot peppers and this was MUCH better. Definitely deserves a four star for this sandwich. Good meats and very good toasted bread. I don’t know if you can get a sandwich here that isn’t toasted, I would assume so. But the toasted white was very good. I would recommend the white bread over the wheat here. And I would come back and get the same sandwich. The hot«peppers» are a little odd because they have other pickled diced vegetables(carrots and celery) mixed in. I personally think it should just be peppers in that topping. One other surprise hit for me here was their chocolate chip cookie. Outstanding texture and melty/gooey chips. As good of a cookie that you can find. Thank you Jodi for the gift card!

Love this place! Amazing sandwiches, they are open late, and have a super friendly staff! I visit the one on Grand less than once a week and still get the Cheers treatment! Dave, the manager, always remembers my name, what sandwiches I like and will even give me good suggestions!

I’ve always wanted to try Snarf’s and I came here for lunch during work. They had a special salad – the Snarf’s steak salad – and I said what the hey. It was awesome! Like, real, juicy bits of steak, two different types of cheese, and cranberries for some contrasting sweetness. I’m still not hungry and its 8 pm. The location is nice and clean too, I sat outside in the sunshine. I want to try some sandwiches next.

I had the vegetarian on wheat and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. It’s great to have an option other than Chipotle or Starbucks.

Just had a roast beef sandwich here this week, and it was possibly the best sandwich ever. So good I’m still thinking about it! We ordered online, & it was half off since it was out first order. So it was very cheap to try it out and oh so good. I will definitely be ordering again!

We’ve ordered delivery a few times to much on lunch during meetings. Every time, the order has been completely accurate and on time. Today’s order left the room quiet(which is a good thing because everyone was busy stuffing their faces). I had the snarf salad which is delicious! We had a few chicken salad go-ers and they weren’t able to finish theirs because the sammies were so filling(they’re excited about leftovers for tomorrow). The oddball in the group ordered an eggplant parmesan and raved about the marinara sauce. Keep doing what you’re doing Snarf People!

I’m a pizza person, but this place made me a sandwich person. No JOKE. I’m obsessed. All the sandwiches are hot, toasty, and melty with cheese, and great on their own. BUT — most of them are made infinitely better by adding their homemade«hot peppers,» which is really more of a giardiniera than ‘hot peppers.’ I think their best sandwich is the«Italian,» but their special sandwiches will occasionally surprise me and be fantastic. Bottom line — GETTHEHOTPEPPERS

4.5 stars. if you are sick of subway or JJ or Panera, this is the place to go. Sandwiches are huge and they have a wide variety of chips to choose for. I have tried both their regular and speciality sandwiches and they haven’t been disappointed. Service was fast and the place is clean. For people who works at SLU medical center and have very limited choices for Deli, this place is awesome. The only downside is its location. Traffic is insanely heavy due to the close by Starbucks and apartment complexes. Sometimes it’s really hard for drivers to get out to the S. Grand.

A colleague raved about(a different location of) this place, so I suggested it to Husband for lunch. Was really looking forward to it based on her comments. It fell way short. Next time I see her, I’ll tell her to stick to her usual location because this one was not on par with how she described the place. I had a 5 inch sandwich, chips, and a water. I ordered the Italian, but only really ate about half of it. The bag of chips was good, and water is water. There were a couple of other issues that made the experience worse than it could have been: — the girl at the register was one of those«there’s no button for that» types — it was so freaking cold in there that I couldn’t relax to enjoy my meal. Its hard to enjoy anything when you’re shivering! There are a lot of sandwich places in STL…

I was looking to try something new, and this was yummy! Prime rib sandwich was tender and filling. The bread is freshly made, and I liked having a wheat option. Lots of vegetarian options noted!

I really wanted to love this place but they came up short. The smoked bbq brisket sandwich I had would have benefited greatly from a slice of cheddar. Alas, that is not a cheese they carry. Not sure why… it is a natural for a sandwich shop. The brisket was alright but nothing special. Little to no smoke flavor came through with this sandwich and it was a mess. Also, as previous reviewers have noted they smash their sandwiches unnecessarily. I left about half of mine uneaten. The wife had an Italian and it was better than what I ordered but still nothing spectacular. Sorry Snarf — I really wasn’t impressed…

I love the name! I had a lot of hope this place would be good but alas the sandwiches were average at best. We ordered a special with turkey and artichoke and a rotisserie chicken sandwich, both had hot peppers and were toasted. The two sandwiches and waters rang up at just under $ 18 for their regular size, definitely pricey. I watched them make each one in a A timely fashion. The problem is that I watched the sandwich maker place his entire body weight onto the sandwich to smash it down turning the bread into more of a wrap than bread. He then did our other sandwich this way as well as the peoples sandwiches after us. It appears he’s been trained to smash the sandwich which makes no sense. Once we started eating, besides the bread, the sandwich flavor was fine. Nothing too exceptional and not good enough to justify the price compared to the other sandwich shops. Too bad, I had high hopes.

Place recently opened on the college campus right near the Chipotle & Starbucks. Sandwich sizes are 5, 7, and 12 inches. 7 in is the standard that is perfect for a lunch. Have tried almost every sandwich on their menu, all very good. The roast beef is very similar to a cheesesteak. Specialty sandwiches are even better. They have takeout and delivery. Inside is a very large place.
