Prior to living in St. Louis, I use to have quite a bit of custom framing done and it was certainly a process finding a truly helpful framer. So it was definitely a surprise coming to the CWE and finding such a great framing shop so close to home. Bruce and the other staff are extremely helpful at making framing/​mat selections and their work is fast, high quality, and relatively affordable for custom jobs. Several times they have gone out of their way to complete an expedited job for me, which was really appreciated.

As a first timer for custom framing, The Great Frame-​Up was fantastic! I had no idea what to expect and was of course flabbergasted when I went to Art Mart for a framing quote. Leslie at The Great Frame-​Up worked very hard to accommodate both what I was looking for and my budget. She put in a lot of extra time and effort just to help me and it was very much appreciated. My framed print turned out beautiful and very professional. You can see and feel the high quality. The Great Frame-​Up is flexible, quick, professional, friendly, and fairly priced. Not to mention, it’s on a great little strip of local shops and restaurants! I highly recommend The Great Frame-​Up for custom framing.

This location is terrible. I had to go there 4 times before I could properly get a frame priced and I still need to go back to pick it up. The prices are exorbitant for the very very poor customer service I encountered and I got a different quote on every trip (and was never even provided with an itemized quote and/​or receipt). It was insanely frustrating. I ended up spending nearly $ 300 on custom framing that I’m not even remotely pleased with.
Drive to Micheal’s for your framing needs!
That said, Jerry is extremely nice and I enjoyed talking to him. However the store needs to work on being organized, prompt and clutter free. I get a headache just with the merchandise all over the place.

Yesterday, we encountered psycho friendly sales chick at Laurie Solet. Today, we met James & Jerry, the really nice guys from The Great Frame Up.
We brought out ketubah to TGFU and these guys took the time and effort to really find the best looking pieces of our frame. We tried a bunch of different frames, and then Jerry pulled out something beautiful that had just come in. It was so new, it wasn’t even in «the system» yet. After we did the frame, we did the matte. Holy balls, here’s where the real dedication came. we went through all «The Greens» and then all «The Blues.» Apparently, green & blue are the most popular colors in mattes.
anyhows, these guys were spectacular. Really friendly and earnest and I can’t wait to see what else we can throw in a frame.
