The Over/Under Bar is a decent sports bar and grill located downtown. They have a small free parking lot which is really nice. They also have a free shuttle service for games and activities throughout happening in the city which is nice. I rode it to Mardi Gras this year and it really helped a lot. I had the cheeseburger and waffle fries. It was decent. My cousin had the southwest chicken wrap which she thought wasn’t bad but not really what she expected and said she won’t get it again. There are a lot of TVs here, even a couple at your booth.

I go to O/U regularly during lunch hours — so I can’t comment on any service issues or slowness because it’s totally fine at that time. It’s hard for a sports bar to deliver interesting food. But Over Under mixes it up just enough to keep me coming back. They make one of the best burgers downtown — better than Bailey’s Range and certainly better than anything you can get in Ballpark Pillage, I mean Village. I also like the tuna wrap on pita bread, the caprese chicken sandwich, tri-tip sandwich, you name it. The waffle fries are always good(and hard to find elsewhere downtown). And they offer a mixed vegetable side which is also a welcome rarity. Service is always quick. No problem splitting checks. Easy in and out. All five stars from me.

We found The Over Under soon after we arrived in St. Louis. It’s only a couple of blocks from us so we frequently stop in. We have always had great service most often due to Sarah but the entire staff goes above and beyond! The food is always good and they have a nice variety ranging from wings to wraps and even steak. It is my go to destination for a burger whether it’s the black and bleu or the Kobe you can’t go wrong. I order mine medium rare and they get it right every time. We will miss them when we move back to Kentucky in the fall!

Terrible service(like it bothered the waitress we were even here). Cesar salad with salmon was ok, nothing amazing.

SERVICEISTERRIBLEHERE. I cannot even explain how bad it is. Arrived at 8:30 pm and its 10 pm right now and we still haven’t gotten our food. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, and 30MINUTES to order. The waitress barely stops by to ask how we are doing. My water has been empty for 30 minutes now and I still haven’t been able to get a refill. Two stars for the filling food. But otherwise… I wouldn’t come back.

Stopped in for a second night while I’m in town. St at the bar this time and it was another great experience. The service from Katie(I think) was awesome, food came out quick and she never let my drink go dry!

Enjoyed the black and blue burger and the porter on draft. Prices were fair and the service good. Lots of tvs to rake in a game. Overall a good sports based pub.

Consistently great appetizers and customer service. We celebrated a coworkers bday in the private room last month — food and service were super. The private room is just off the main dining area; the seating and atmosphere is cozy. Last week, we held a work function happy hour, and again food and service were super. Both events were coordinated with the staff in advance. Good food, fun environment, friendly staff, looking forward to coming back.

This spot is in a good location on Washington Ave. when I travel to STL for work. The service is a little slow, but the food is decent. I recommend the pretzel appetizer — the cinnamon sugar dip is amazing!

We waited a very long time to be greeted by a host. Thankfully they were able to seat our party of 7. Our waitress was very nice and friendly, but the food took a while to come out. Luckily the food was filling!

Website says open to 1:30am on Mondays… guess not. Had a friend in town for the night and we went here to watch the Monday night football game, as we are both Dolphins fans. We each had 3 beers and food here, which was average at best. But the reason for the poor review is they«closed» the bar on us at 10:30PM — when there was 5 minutes left in the football game. What kind of sports bar are you trying to be? Because you clearly don’t pay attention to the two fans(paying customers as well) watching MONDAYNIGHTFOOTBALL. We were going to leave after the game, but to close and force us out with 5 minutes left in a one score game is just asinine. Will not return.

We ended up here looking for an «low» price american food option on this stretch of Lucas. We had Cobb salad, BBQ bacon burger, and blackened fish burger. My dad loved his burger and I liked mine. Neither of us were impressed with the fries and the salad was standard. This is a sports bar with live music so the service can seem slow but it is likely intentional because guests normally would stay after they finish eating. Nothing wrong but nothing to recommend.

The waffle fries are addictive! I ordered a veggie burger with bleu cheese crumbles on a recent visit and it was unbelievably good. I’m also very happy they serve Urban Chestnut beers.

Pretty decent sports bar with reasonable tap beer prices and friendly bar staff. Food menu could be better, needs an update with more choices. Wings are better than average but they come without anything else, just a sad bowl of wings without the standard celery and/or carrot sticks. Even a breadstick would be better than nothing.

Pretty standard sports bar. Service wasn’t prompt, but was friendly and made sure we had plenty of drinks. Come here for the sports crowd, cheering, and TVs for all the active games. Typical bar food.

Eh… If that’s a word. Prime location just outside of the convention center. If you’re in town, close, sure? Maybe, why not? It’s close. Our team of 12 were locals, at a conference. It was close so we tried it. Food was??? OK I guess. Nothing to brag about. No one really raved about their food. They did accommodate our group but it was about 3:00 on a Wednesday. I think they were surprised to have a group at that hour. The address is prime real estate. The place in general needs a realistic update. Food is average at best. Service doesn’t suck but they’re comfortable with being below average. The worst??? It smells like old city. The plumbing needs updated. Old plumbing lines are still tied in here making everything smell like ass. Sorry! Sad, foul, but true. The owners need to invest in this property on Washington. It’s time to fix your menu, chefs, staff in general and plumbing. Until they do, the entire place kind of reeks of sewage and won’t get better. Locals won’t visit again, even with free rides to the ballpark, free shots or live music. They may make it on tourism alone but locals will avoid it.

I want to love this place. However, service is severely lacking. We even sat at the bar and were barely helped. Took 15 minutes after bringing our food to get the bartender back to tell him my silverware was disgusting and dirty. Didnt apologize. Just sighed and out another one in front of me. The food is good! But if you cant get good service, it isnt worth it!

We stopped in for a quick, late dinner, just looking for something casual like burgers and fries. I ended up getting the caprese chicken sandwich instead and was not disappointed. Big pieces of mozarella melted on pesto chicken, really good. My husband had the burger and was quite pleased. The waffle fries are also good, and they have a good selection of sauces to pick from(I got blue cheese for dipping the fries). As the night cooled off, they opened up these huge windows to basically create an open air space to the patio, where a nice local band was playing, so we felt like we got the best of both worlds(AC while it was still warm, outdoors as it cooled off). This place is nothing fancy, and I’m not sure I would get too creative in ordering beyond the sandwiches, based on earlier reviews, but it seems like a very good neighborhood spot.

Arrived at 10:50 pm… not greeted particularly well… In fact the first words out of our greeter as «are you eating? [Yes] ok. you have 9 minutes to order food» Host guy that seated us didn’t make eye contact… Seemed ticked off we came in. Waitress was pleasant, and polite… Attractive but seemed to be in a rush as well. I own three restaurants and fight the dreaded«we close at 11 so let’s rush everyone out so we can get our party on» b.s. all the time but this doesn’t excuse this behavior. Food was decent but sandwich had lots of bread. Beer was not terribly cold. Cold or frosted mug would give it an extra star. Prolly not on my «must stop» list next time I’m in St. Louis.

We spotted this place while walking to the City Museum. Decided on the place for late night dinner and it was a great choice! The huge windows opened to the outdoor patio where there was live music and a wonderful breeze. The food was awesome — typical pub style food kicked up just a notch. Try it!

Had dinner here while I was in St Louis for a conference. Definitely a solid meal, had the caprese chicken sandwich, which was really good and their Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Friend of mine had the southwest chopped salad which she said was also really good. It didn’t have a huge«wow!» factor(it was pretty much exactly what I expected it would be and didn’t defy expectations) but definitely a solid choice for lunch or dinner in St. Louis.

Unfortunately there are not too many places to grab a quick bite within walking distance to the Edward Jones Theater so this was many of the few options we had to pick from. The food was decent — the burgers were average and the fries were sadly below average … soggy with a lack of flavor. I think the best thing I had was the dessert — the butter cake was delicious!

Many of the reviews I’d seen were mixed. The location of this bar was great coming from the Renaissance Hotel across the street. My wife and I just wanted to find a place with lots of TV’s, a bar and good food to watch the college football games. This place was very good. Not too crowded. They have 2TV’s in many of the booths. My wife and I sat at the bar where they had several games on. For lunch I had the buffalo wings which were very good. Even though they don’t serve celery and carrots, the did bring bleu cheese. My wife had the mac & cheese which she said was excellent. They have featured drink specials which included Schafly Coffee Stout. They also have many other great craft beers on draught and bottles. We liked the place so much, we came back the next day to watch NFL. They have every game on via NFL Ticket.

The menu is good, they have a decent selection of draft beer, and a free shuttle to Blues(also Cards and Rams) games. If you can overlook the bartenders, its a decent place to go and relax with friends. The bartenders give you the impression that you are a bother rather than the reason they are there. Get some customer oriented bartenders and I would relook my currently on the high side rating for a higher one.

This is a great bar, especially before a Rams or Cardinals game. There are lots of beers on tap and plenty of TVs all over the bar. We didn’t have the food here, though, because we were stuffed on leftover Papa John’s from a wild night at the casinos. The drink prices were reasonable too, which helped after those cold blackjack tables. But from what I could tell, the waffle fries were very popular. Come to think of it, Over/Under reminds me of my favorite spot in Reno. That is a high compliment.
