Portions are a but smaller than most but it is very cheap here. Cashew chicken with a side of sweet and sour is pretty decent. Also the lo mein, veggie

Loved it! First time here and we’ll definitely be back! The food came out fast and exactly as ordered. The soup with dinner combo was a nice surprise. We dined in and sat out on the patio. It was so nice. the patio might be a bit small but so is this space. I can’t wait to come back and try something else. inexpensive, great food and wonderful service. Recommend for sure

Have you every passed by a restaurant and the smell of the food cooking in the inside was great but only to find out that the food actually tastes like crap? Well that would perfectly describe this place. On many occasions, I would smell great aromas coming from here, but once I actually sat down to eat; I wished I would have never heard of this place. Plain fried rice extra onion: Simple order you would think they couldn’t possibly mess this up? Right?! Nope… rice was gummy and hard at the same time. I’m like huh… did you mix two old orders of rice together to make mine… Horrible!!! Crab Rangoon: Cream cheese tasted like wax Since the rice was gummy and hard, won’t be filling out a good complement card Since the cream cheese tasted like wax, they won’t have to worry about me coming back

Honestly… I really have no idea how this place passes health inspection tests. This place is horribly unclean. Especially behind the counter where the food is prepared.

My husband and I have lived in the area for a few years. When we first moved in, we found Webster Wok and LOVED it. We ordered food for delivery almost weekly. The quality of the food went downhill fast, and the last time we ordered, it was inedible. My cashew chicken didn’t look or smell right. We threw it away, found China 1, who delivered us the best Chinese food we’d ever had, and haven’t looked back since.

The charm of this«hole-in-the-wall» is unquestionable. It’s like I stepped into the home of an older Chinese couple. The owners are sweet, welcoming, and the food is very good. The décor isn’t modern or trendy, but I think that would ruin the atmosphere. I will be returning.

Favorite place ever. Affordable, quick, and yummy. Everytime I walk in, they start writing my order down. They’re kind and charming. A little hard to understand, but you get used to it. The combination of their smiling faces and delicious Chinese food makes my day a whole lot better.

Super cheap food for a reason. The food is disgusting, fried rice is practically rice with soy sauce. Not worth it!

Webster Wok is another regular lunch spot for me. They serve your typical ‘American’ Chinese food… but it’s good! They also have great lunch prices! I normally order the Sesame Chinese with Fried Rice, Egg Drop Soup, and a Crab Rangoon. Very filling(not health though!). On my most recent visit, two other co-workers and I shared a pot of tea at Webster Wok. It was a rainy day and we needed a little something extra to warm us up. It was great and I think it’ll become a new tradition every time we visit Webster Wok! It was fun to have an afternoon«tea party.» :)

Webster Wok is where you can find the typical American version of Chinese food. I have gone here for lunch numerous times and typically get the sweet and sour shrimp lunch special. The shrimp is fried and served with onions and green peppers, all in a sweet and sour sauce. You get brown or white rice on the side and your choice of soup — wonton or egg drop. You also get crab rangoon or a soda(I get the crab rangoon). It’s a fantastic deal because you get all this for about $ 5 and change. The more expensive versions of their lunch specials include been and other seasonings, but even those will be well under $ 10. The service is always prompt and the orders are never messed up. It appears to be a family business as I only see the same three Asian people there working. Some know better English than others. They’re all nice and friendly — and the lady that always acts as waitress keeps my water full and is always accommodating.

Good food for the price. I would say this is the best Chinese food in Webster with strong to very strong crab rangoon — and nice dinner specials.

Ugh. How many dirty Chinese restaurants do we really need? Especially those with same-old, same-old menus and a dreary atmosphere like this dump. Couldn’t this space be better occupied by something imaginative, fun, and clean?

Problem #1 — Called numerous times to place a takeout order. The phone was alternately unanswered or busy. My husband had to go there in person to place the order. Problem #2 — The order took awhile, although the place was practically empty. We surmised it was all takeout business. Problem #3 — The food was so whatever. Hubs ordered the General Tso’s chicken, I had the beef and broccoli. Both were almost laughably underwhelming. No flavor whatsoever. Problem #4 — Woke up in the middle of the night throwing up in my mouth after consuming this schlock. The leftovers were promptly tossed in the garbage. Problem #5 — Finding a decent Chinese restaurant in the Webster Groves area.

This is one of those nice locally owned hole in the wall places. The food is always delicious and you can even see them chopping up the veggies so you know everything is fresh. Also Suzy usually waits on me and she is such a SWEETHEART! Her outstanding customer service adds a lot to the experience! Just a great place to eat!!’

I came here with a group of friends before going to knit night at a nearby yarn shop. It’s a hole in the wall(literally). It’s easy to miss & is on the right of Tei Too. The food choices were great in variety. My choice of dinner was the Mongolian beef. A tad bit tooo salty(really a miniscule/micro bit tooo salty) for my taste. Other than that, it was delish. The amount of food was enough for this tiny person. Service was great. Fast & helpful.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The lunch special can’t be beat for $ 5. It includes soup with crispy pieces, a crab rangoon and a wonton, and an entrée with a generous portion of fried rice. I was never a fan of crab rangoon but have slowly become one here. Also, the chicken with snow peas is delicious. The snow peas taste fresh, and I’m pretty sure they are because you can see the workers preparing vegetables in the dining room. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, this place isn’t winning a Michelin star anytime soon, but who said restaurants have to? These people are friendly, and make good food. Even when the oil gets a little old you can’t really complain, its a ridiculous amount of food for a ridiculously low price, right next to a college campus. I don’t have a meal plan, but if they offered one for this place I might consider it. If you don’t enjoy this place you’re expecting the wrong thing. You will have a server. She will not speak English. She will be grandmotherly. She won’t bring you straws. Your ice cubes will be from old school ice trays.(Have hipsters caught on to this yet?) You will have your food in under ten minutes. It will be good.

Tried this place on the basis of the reviews here and was really let down. Ordered simple dishes and all were sub par. The chicken tasted very bitter like it was fried in bad oil. The sauces were ok but the bitterness was unbearable. I did not eat mine after a couple of bites. Same flavor in eggrolls. Crab Rangoon were minimally filled and had same nasty flavor. Will not go back. Still searching for Chinese that is flavorful/clean and not nasty in this area. I find one I like and then pull a metal scrubber out of the soup and cant go back.(that was not here but one by Galleria)

In the area, there are two different Chinese restaurants and I choose Webster Wok every time. I have had the other restaurant before but they only take cash. Webster Wok takes cash and credit. They have great deals. For lunch or dinner one can get a meal that will fill them up for $ 10. It is not good for large parties(not a lot of seats, it’s a small place). But it is great for lunch with a friend.

Delivery review… The driver was prompt, curteous and friendly. Prices are cheap. The food is below average. I tried the empress shrimp. The shrimp was breaded so much that I could not taste anything but breading. There were very little vegetables in the dish. The fried rice consisted of nothing but rice. No carrots, peas or anything else in it. The hot & sour soup and egg roll were pretty good.

There are only a few Chinese options in the area, and for delivery, this is one of the better values. Lunch combos run $ 4.75 to $ 5.35 and come with 1 crab rangoon, 1 fried wonton, fried rice, and choice of soup. Dinner combos are from $ 5.95 to $ 7.45 and come with 1 egg roll or 2 crab rangoon plus steamed rice and choice of soup. Sweet and sour pork is good. Sesame chicken is ok but not my favorite. Husband likes the Seafood Delight and Buddha’s Delight. Super-friendly service, decent food, great value!
