This tiny restaurant in Webster groves is on point. You ordered at the counter, they bring food out to your table. You get your own drinks, very small staff but did not bother me at all, make it easy for everyone. The food was wonderful! I had Tom yum shrimp($ 7) their shrimps was big & delicious, my husband had padthai shrimp they charge extra for shrimp($ 4) but you get about 5 or 6 of succulent jumbo size of the best shrimp you’ve ever had. They serve wine, beer sake and also the tradition of Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea. Cute & clean restaurant. Prices are fair. Quality of food you receive is absolutely great. Life is too short… So. Enjoy real food !

Food was good. Not quite spicy enough so I recommend you ask for a little more heat if you prefer it to be spicy.

This place is good. Small dining area, but their food is easy to take home. I usually call ahead, grab, and go. Don’t expect to be waited on, they don’t have a large staff. They only take your order at the front counter and then deliver the food to your table. You have to get your own drinks too. Don’t let those things deter you from eating here… food is good. Enjoy!

I’ve been missing good Thai curry in saint Louis. I ordered panang curry & ask for Thai hot. Perfect dish! Can’t wait to come back and try another dish.

I give this place 4 stars for Thai/Asian restaurants just because there is probably a better place out there somewhere in the Lou, but I do recommend this place with no reservations. Could be 5 stars if I had some other places to compare to. My family gets take out here 4 or 5 times a year. Nice/clean enough inside so I would not hesitate to dine in. I usually call in the order and pick it up, it is always hot and ready when I pick it up and the staff is always friendly. Chicken satay with peanut sauce on the side, chicken pad Thai and spicy basil beef stir fry were all great on my last order. Entrée portions are large enough for two adults to split and prices are reasonable so overall great value. They have beer and wine, but no cocktails. As with other places in Webster/old orchard, parking can be a challenge at times.

Very fresh Thai food! Very original menu, cozy atmosphere, good music. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, quick service and convenient location in downtown Old Orchard. Best crab Rangoon I’ve ever tried! I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice with chicken — interesting combination of pineapple, cashews, scallions.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Usually I get the Pad Thai with chicken, but today I tried the Yaki Udon with chicken since it’s highly recommended by other reviewers. It’s so good. Definitely my new favorite. This place is clean and has great, fast service. They also play very eclectic music which I like.

Red curry was delish. Staff was very friendly. My friend reported that her Drunken Noodles were good as well. There seems to be very little good Thai in STL. This is the best I’ve found so far.

Tei Too is great! I always get a pork curry when I go here, and as others have said, their crab rangoons are fantastic. Their staff is friendly, their food is yummy. My only thing is when I’ve ventured away from my favorite dish, i’m sometimes disappointed!

This place is absolutely amazing! The customer service is something to talk about! Everytime I recommend this restaurant to anyone, I always add«…and the workers are amazing» because I feel that is one of the many things that make them stick out among the rest. The food is absolutely the some of the best in STL. I absolutely love Asian cuisine. I used to live closer but now live 30 minutes away and still drive the distance for the food. It’s that good. Anytime I go anywhere else I always end up saying«not as good as tei too». If I had to comment on an improvement I would say it’s that they aren’t open earlier on Saturdays and they are closed on Sundays.

I love Thai food and have had drunken noodles from several different places before so when I saw that this place has drunken noodles as one of their many offerings, I just had to have some. Of course, there is probably nowhere here that serves authentic Thai but as far as fusion type dishes, I think I have had my fair share. First off, I tried their gyoza which was quite delicious and fresh tasting. It was brought out probably around 3 minutes after ordering and sitting down. This is also another thing I want to mention. Before coming here, I thought this place would have waiters/waitresses taking your order but you actually place your order, get a table and they bring your food out to you or you could get it to go. Anyway, I tried their drunken noodles with chicken and beef(of course) and Pad Thai. I’ve been obsessing over drunken noodles for quite some time now and have even thought about making some at home but most of the ones I have had have been savory. The drunken noodles here is a bit on the sweet side, less veggies(red bell pepper slices, tomato, and some parsley leaves I think), and it had a small hint of spiciness, probably a level 1 if I had to rate it. The Pad Thai was also somewhat sweet. Overall, the serving size was filling, the service was fast, and the staff were very pleasant. Would I go back? Sure! Maybe to try something else off of their menu.

First, their Crab Rangoon is amazing. It comes with this delicious sweet and sour sauce. I also love their Thai fried rice — it’s nice and light, and when I get it for takeout, it lasts at least 2 meals for me. When I try other dishes, though, I’m sometimes disappointed. Their beef was very dry when I had it. My boyfriend had a bad beef & noodle dish there and now will never go back with me. I’m always happy when I get my fried rice & Crab Rangoon, though.

Had the stir fry chicken with broccoli and garlic sauce, and it was ok but not great. My wife had the stir fry with cashews and vegetables but wasn’t in the mood for cashews, so those were left off. We told them we wanted light sauce, which I meant very little, but they translated that as not spicy. There was a lot of pretty tasteless sauce on her dish! Oh well! Good, but definitely not what we experienced the first two times.

I was so excited to try this place, especially after the great reviews of the Pad Thai and crab rangoons. I got an order to go and the crab rangoons were decent – crispy, with a good filling and generous portion. However, I was SO sad when I opened up my entrée and saw they gave me a bowl of plain noodles. Literally pale and tasteless and completely different than their other pictures online. I really wanted to like this place but for this price and inconsistency, I won’t be going back.

I have been to this location a few times. The staff is always cheerful and extremely helpful. The small entrée menu makes the selection fast and simple. We have always had success with the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. I’m normally a fan of red curry, this one is consistently limey? so know that be fore you order. Park in the rear as street side is dangerous.

Get the Korean short ribs. They are amazing. If you go in and sit down, you can split the short ribs and an order of spring rolls or their awesome crab Rangoon and be completely satiated. Back to the Rangoon. They wrap them like spring rolls instead of giving you a bunch of fried crunchy extra crap like other places. Creamy smooth and the dip is sweet but not too sweet. Short ribs — tender and delicious fall off the bone. The Tom kha soup is really comforting. Delicious without being greasy. Yes. Soup can be greasy… Not this. Also… I overheard one of the associates there when being questioned about where they get their ingredients… Local produce from Webster Groves. No msg. No additives. That is what you want to eat, folks.

Writing this from my table at the restaurant now because I’m that happy with this place. And that’s what lone, lunch-breaking one-tops get to do. Tei Too gets everything right. The food and service are high quality. The food I’ve had here tastes fresh and expertly prepared. I’ve been served a couple times by the manager and cook who were thoughtful and friendly. The menu is diverse with East Asian and Southeast Asian street foods, greens and main courses. The portions and prices are fair.(Update: they raised the prices! Will still keep coming back, just not as often :/) With a vibrant yet understated atmosphere and everything going for it, Tei Too is a comfortable lunch joint. Also, I like their music playlist :) The Yaki Udon is delicious; noodles cooked to perfection and a balanced combination of sweet/savory. Tom Yum is my favorite here. Best I’ve ever had and comes with the most flavorful broth with tomato, cilantro, lemongrass, ginger, mushrooms, shrimp and very good rice. Get the Korean ribs, they taste amazingly authentic. $ 12.95 for a large order is unheard of; I’ve only seen this dish go for $ 17 – 23 anywhere else. I’m half Korean so you can at least half trust me. Since I’ve been sitting here, two other return customers have come in just to give their compliments to the chef. I plan on doing the same when I stop stuffing my face.

So happy I tried this place. Got here just before the lunch rush and the guy explained the entire menu to me. I go the yaki udon with beef. Fantastic flavors. 1st time ordering this dish. The noodles are thick and chewy. Took a few bites to get used to but I loved it! They said the soba has thinner ramen noodles. I’ll get that next time.

Love this place! Come here about once a week for lunch. I always order the yaki udon with chicken and it’s super yummy! However I feel like their portion sizes can change a bit from day to day but you’ll still leave full. As far as good lunch places in Webster groves, this near the top of my list! :)

I frequent Tei Too for lunch fairly often and have consistently had good experiences. The menu has a variety of thai options, with noodle dishes and chopstick fare. I typically order the chicken pad thai or the Drunken Noodles. The pad thai is standard for that dish and is served with a nice little side of crushed peanuts, which provide a great texture along with the green onions. The Drunken Noodles have a delightfully sweet sauce that on some visits tends towards the spicy side, so quality is not consistent, but it is still delicious that way. Both dishes provide plenty of food for what you’re paying. The service is quick, making it a great place for lunch, and the staff is always friendly and clean. The location on Big Bend is on a quaint portion of the street next to other eateries and is great for walking around. Though the interior isn’t drenched in personality, each time that I’ve visited, the restaurant is clean and tables are wiped and ready for new patrons. It’s a regular spot for my lunches.
