really good assortment of margarita’s — perfect for Cinco de Mayo. Tacos were pretty good too.

This restaurant was amazing! Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the blackened shrimp mango tacos and would recommend them to anyone. They were light, fresh and delicious. Also try the Chum Bucket appetizer. So many wonderful flavors in one! I will definitely return the next time I am in St. Michaels.

Cute place with reasonable prices. The food was ok, very mayo heavy and an interesting rendition of Americanized Mexican fare. Think flour tacos, lots of cheese, little spice, and gobs of mayo. FYI their menu is vegetarian/pescatarian. The service is friendly, and they had a good beer list. Another plus– they were the only restaurant whose kitchen was open at 9pm on a Sunday evening in St. Michaels.

First if all — if you’re a germiphobe, keep it moving! But if you can tolerate waitresses sratching their head, putting their hand in their mouth, sticky tables and crumb filled seats, stick around. Lighthouse tacos are awesome!

Good vegetarian food. Friendly staff. A little pricey and it’s a very casual almost divey place but good.

This is the place you WANT to love: local, lots of veggie options, looks like it’s owned by a hippie. There are things holding it back, though. First, the food is quite good. Great options, solid non-meat options, decent beers. Prep time is a minus, though; when the product arrives at the table, it’s hard to understand what took so long. Second, the service is definitely lacking. Not rude or anything, but indifferent. Third, and this is the killer: clean the place. Tables are sticky, floors are sticky, everything is sticky. Basic food prep and restaurant management skills would go a long way here. We’re hoping they improve, as this place has the potential to be wonderful.

I disliked Gina’s. The ambience of this place is reminiscent of manny similar places where I grew up in upstate New York. Definitely a hippie vibe, so we thought we were in for food that was at least comparable to the amount of work they put into making this place look shabby. It was a big disappointment. We were hoping something similar to El Loco in Albany, NY. Food was mediocre, margaritas were horrible, some sort of hummus on the menu was horrendous– think it was papaya and pineapple. Also, we sat outside at a very rickety old table which was much more junk yard than functional. Advise you pass this one up. Don’t see how it can stay in business with about 10 better options a block down the street into St. Michaels. Wanted to like it but was disappointed. I would not go back.

Another great meal, everything was amazing and the tacos were awesome. A fun halloween night. Need more heaters, but we cozied up with other people which added to the fun. Best mojitos in town, and loved the oyster shucker out front.’

The 3 bean chili is awesome. Vegans and fish eaters can both be happy here. What a fabulous find. Be sure to check out the words of wisdom in The Head. Love this place for the food and the ambience.

Wanted to love this TINY, cute little Mexican place with a creative Mexican seafood menu, but… After waiting around for a table(which is fine, since the place is very small), we were seated near the kitchen. We proceeded to wait FOREVER(like 30 min to order) and then another 30 min to get our food. This is totally unacceptable at a place this tiny. Others around us kept getting seated and served quickly so we were an anomaly not the rule, but why!!! The food was OK, but a bit on the greasy side for me. We tried the crab nachos(chips too greasy for my taste) and some sort of shrimp quesadilla(again pretty greasy). If they gave you more fresh salsa or pico de gallo, it might have offset the grease factor, but alas no.

We’ve been to Gina’s before and loved it. This time we got there right at opening and were served last nights guacamole. It was completely brown and had a weird tang. We asked for a new one but she said she wasn’t making a new batch. Weird. The other food was great though. I guess going later might have been better? Service was great and loved the tuna tacos.

We were on vacation in Saint Michaels for the week and decided to try this little restaurant on the outskirts of the main drive. Boy am I glad we made that decision! Everything we ordered was made fresh and the portions were massive. I was with two other women and we all split the guacamole and chips appetizer, the guacamole was chunky and clearly homemade and delicious. For my entrée I got two tacos one was the crab taco and the other was the tilapia taco; both were unbelievably good and extremely large. This was by far the best mealwe had in St. Michael’s and was well worth the trip! We ended up recommending this restaurant to everyone we met and went back for seconds later on in the week!

My fiancé and I were exploring around St Michaels and stopped at Gina’s to grab lunch. We opted for a table outside because it was so gorgeous out. It was late in the afternoon so we didn’t have to wait, and we were seated immediately and given menus. Kind of odd — they didn’t give us a drink menu. We’d heard they had margaritas so my fiancé asked for the different flavors and settled on a blackberry margarita, but a menu would have been helpful to see what other cocktails and options they offered. We also ordered the guacamole, then he chose to go with a goat cheese/balsamic vinegar/berry quesadilla, and I went for nachos. The guacamole was delicious — really fresh, creamy, and lots of chunks of onions. Personally, we like things spicier but Gina’s had a great selection of hot sauces. The chips were great too, salty and crunchy. Our food then came out and it looked amazing. The nachos were piled high and covered in toppings, I was super excited. Until I tried one. This is really where Gina’s fell flat for me — the nachos were arguably some of the worst I’ve had. The«chili» was really just a ton of different beans with little flavor, the«salsa» was mostly tomatoes in large chunks, and both of these toppings were liquidy so the chips were all mushy and soggy. There were also pieces of oranges in the nachos, which… quite frankly is just wierd. I’ve eaten a ton of nachos and never had fruit included in the toppings of savory nachos. So overall, these were just a huge disappointment and I ended up just picking some cheese off a few chips. I would have ordered something else but our server never came back. We ended up getting our check later and closing out with a different server. My fiancé’s quesadilla was actually pretty good, and a decent portion size. It was a nice change from a typical quesadilla and the combinations of flavors worked well. Overall, I’d highly recommend Gina’s for drinks and chips with dips, even though the service was a little spotty and the meals were not great.

I went here over the summer with friends and family. The outside tables are iron with giant holes and their attempt to work around that is with slate slabs that wobble under plates and cups. The gazpacho I had tasted like they threw salsa in a blender. The«cheese plate» was bread with Swiss cheese… that’s it. This after the waitress told us about several cheese varietals that the chef had been serving lately and adding that she had a nice swiss today. Not only a Swiss today. Save your time and money and do what I did: buy a sandwich from the grocery store a block away.

My wife and I stopped at Gina’s for a lunch on a snowy Valentine’s Day. We have walked by the place a number of times while in St Michaels. We walked in and caught a table in the back. It is a small place, only about 4 tables and a 6 seat bar, but tons of seats outside during warm weather. It’s a casual place with tons of cool art on the wall. We ordered the Shore Nachos and crab tacos. They were amazing. The bloody mary was hot and tasty. I highly recommend this place if you have the opportunity can get a seat. Reasonably priced for good food and drink. Only complaint that they had one song on repeat. But a good one none the less

I think I did Gina’s wrong. Looking back at the other reviews, I definitely did it wrong. I should have gone for the tacos(but they seemed kind of expensive); instead I went for the Taco Salad. I figured it would be a bit heartier and save me some money. But it wasn’t, really. It was just meh. Like I could totally have made a better one myself. I would probably return, just to see what the actual hype is all about. Food: 2 Drinks: 4(lots of selections) Value: 2(ended up being almost 20 for a vegetarian Service: 4

Delightful! We sat outside, comfortably under an umbrella, drinking local Eastern Shore Brewing beer(the honey saison — yum!) and fresh fruit margaritas(blueberry!) served by friendly and efficient staff. The tortilla chips are worth a mention on their own. They are buttery and crisp and a deep golden yellow. At least home-fried, if not constructed entirely in house. They’re a generous size, too, so scooping is easy. I ordered the Avocado boat and we had gazpacho, which was served with the chips — a seemingly small detail that elevated the food a step above good to great. The gazpacho had some tooth to it but it was a consistent texture and not too cold. Scooped and spooned, it was very good. I like hot food but too much spice hides some of the great cucumber and onion taste beyond the tomato. This was a good medium. And there was Old Bay on top! The Avocado Boat was a ceramic boat with avocado stacked with their three-bean veggie chili, tomatoes, cheese, and then baked to a melty, soft, awesome hot pot of wonder. I was considering the Vegemite tacos and I’m glad our waitress(Audrey) steered me to that. Few things are as satisfying as warm avocado and cheese with truly fresh veggies. The special burrito was a scallop burrito. My dad had that and the scallops were huge, the burrito was a generous size, and criss-crossed with the chipotle mayo. The salad on the side was even great, with kale and deep green lettuce in a dressing that«matched» with the mayo.

Super friendly people working there. We just walked in and chatted about eating there later on and they were nice, laid back and chatty. We came back later and sat outside on the patio. They have a selection of about 6 high-quality beers on tap and rotating food specials. We opted for the Tres Dippy which, besides it’s funny name, is your choice of 3 of the dips — we got tapenade(salty!), guacamole(average), and pumpkin hummus. The pumpkin hummus was awesome! Go get some of that before it’s not longer pumpkin-flavor-everything season! I really liked the chips they served. They were a variety of white, red and blue corn. The reds were the best because they were big and soft/flakey when you bit into them. We also split a Tuna Burrito as the main. It was delicious and had a good amount of tuna in it. This is a top notch restaurant — innovative, quirky, fun and friendly!
