Fantastic place these guys manage. Great group of people who are happy to help anyone that comes into their doors. Would go to them more often if my schedule allowed it!

Decided to give them a try when my old barber left the shop I used to visit. Great choice. I received a great haircut, the barber did a great job and knew his stuff, he helped me get exactly what I wanted and for good price. The clientele that came through while I was there was pretty varied which gives a nod to the work they do. There were young to old, and all different styles from business people, to hip, to long retired. They took their time and it never felt rushed even though there were a few people waiting. Good conversation too. Definitely going to be going back. Great cut at a great price. what more can you ask for?

So, a third visit found the place open at last. Why try again? I was desperate. Sadly it didn’t happen this time either. Sat down to wait my turn and what do I see. The barber is carrying a gun! Walked out, don’t ever need to be around guns. Also, guys, the Williamsburg vibe is played out. #hipstersnhandgunsarelame

Great old school barber shop where they know how to cut hair. Saturday’s are very busy but they provide donuts which is awesome. I’ll gladly drive from Savage to get a cut from them.

Best cut in Lowertown. Attention to detail is top notch. A real old style barbershop. Plus, free donuts.

If you need a barber shop haircut, you must come here. It’s been around for over 100 years, feels like a trip back in time, and, well, has great haircuts… for $ 16. I loved my haircut and the barbers were younger guys, so the styles are trendier. I definitely will be back.

Go here. Support local business. Other than the flatscreen TV on the wall, this place is straight out of 1954, but in an old-school vintage cool sort of way. It certainly beats the soulless strip mall haircut places. And the price of a haircut is still the same as it is at Great Clips. Depending on what day you go, the wait might be long, especially Friday and Saturday. Pro-tip: Go during mid-week in the afternoon, you can usually get a cut right away. But even when they’re busy they don’t rush, they take the time to cut your hair right. So sit down and relax and join in on the conversation. Good people come here, the conversation is never dull. It’s as much about the experience as it is the end result. Bring cash, they don’t take cards. But they do offer quality haircuts at a fair price.

I’m a chick and don’t get me hair done here. Here’s what I have to say: I have never seen a place have a line of grown men out the door to get anything like this place does! They are addicted. These guys really know their stuff. Masters of their craft. And they don’t even have to advertise! It’s pretty crazy I have men waiting in my shop until they can get in there. Don’t worry– you won’t be waiting all day. It’s a very efficient system!

Master barber Pete whips out awesome hair cuts at a reasonable price. The guy can lay out a real mans haircut no problem. I called in advance to check about making an appointment and spoke with Pete on the phone he explained hair cuts are by walk in only; so on arrival there was three gents ahead of me at around 2:45 pm. I grabbed a 20’s theater chair and waited my turn. My wait was distracted by a tv, magazines, entertaining conversation and amusing decoration. The shop itself has a ol’ school theme and feel that seems to draw a clientele that represents several generations. when it was my turn i described my ideal cut and after what felt like a a short time in the chair i was finished and out the door with three more people waiting behind me. i was there for a total of 45 minutes and could not be happier.

This has become my go-to place to get a haircut. Pete’s a nice guy and knows what he’s doing — best haircuts I’ve had compared to the others places I had gone to in the past. Relaxed environment — and if you end up waiting, it’s fine, I’ve always had good conversations with other patrons. Will be sticking to this place and will continue to recommend. Also, very reasonably priced and I get to support another local independently-owned business!

If you’e looking for a traditional man’s haircut, Pete at 7th Street Barbers is your guy. Great service, quality cut, and fantastic experience! Looking forward to seeing Pete about a straight-razor shave in the very near future, too. They’ve also got a good selection of grooming products – I grabbed some ‘stache wax for Movember while I visited.
