When we moved to Saint Paul a few years ago, we chose Coolidge because we had heard good things from neighbors and their prices are great. Over the past year, though, customer service has declined. Once or twice a quarter our trash won’t get picked up. Every time that I have contacted the company, except once, the call has gone to voicemail. For the approximately ten messages I have left during our time with Coolidge, I have only gotten a call back once, and it turned out the information that was given to me was incorrect. What started out as a decent experience became one frustration after another. Then, just a few weeks ago, I noticed that our trash can was being serviced by another company, Advanced Disposal. I called Coolidge to inquire, and the voicemail said that it was now Advanced Disposal. I have no idea if there was a merger or buyout; we have never received any sort of communication from either company. I won’t miss them when we switch companies.

Coolidge is great. We have been a customer for a year. Only one time did they forgot to pick up. We get picked up in the late afternoon on Fridays. We called around 6:00 left a voice mail and they picked up within the hour. We thought that was impressive for a Friday evening. We have forgotten to set our garbage out a couple of times and they have been kind enough to come up the driveway to get it.
