It’s closed!!! They were raising prices all the time and let the inside décor fall by the wayside! Not surprised.

Google says: PERMANENTLYCLOSED Not a huge surprise to me, since in my own personal opinion, the final set of owners had absolutely no idea how to run a business. Could have had great potential for success if they had a better understanding of the F&B industry.

The last time I drove by there was a sign on the front door saying that there would be new management in the future, but that the business was closed for now.

The coffee is great, but they don’t really serve donuts like the name claims«Expresso DONUT». They had about 1 scone and 8 mixed donuts on a plate(at 9am, not the end of the day) that looked like they came from the gas station across the street, and??? fresh??? They even have several signs that state that they are not a donut shop but a coffee shop and to not ask for a dozen donuts. I just thought that was funny. It’s like going to a pizza and sub shop and the only subs are a couple day old premade wrapped sandwiches. Remove the donut word from the name and it’s a fine coffee shop.

What makes me happier than being more than 30 minutes from home in the middle of… is this really still St Paul? Who knows. Drive through coffee! Really well made, super tasty. I’m sad I didn’t get a donut or a pizza on my way to a wedding which had plain old wedding food.

Worth a visit! A locally owned coffee shop. Good coffee, from True Stone Coffee Roasters(also local). I had stopped in to just sit for a few minutes and ended up stay two hours because it was so cozy by the fireplace in the nice leather chairs. Free wi-fi, quiet, outdoor seating, clean.

Nice coffee shop! It’s got really cozy chairs arranged around the fire place, or some open tables, OR a few booths if you want to have a more intimate conversation. The décor is very relaxing, lots of natural stones and woods. I haven’t tried the pizza or Panini, but their muffins/scones are delicious, and they will heat them up if you request.(Which you should. The Chocolate Cherry ones.) They have a drive-through, which is nice, but a TINY bit slow. Actually, the service is a TINY bit slow all around, if you’re used to Caribou, but a lot of times there is only one employee there, and she’s doing it all– drive through, counter, making the drinks, etc. For drinks– I’ve only ever gotten the same thing here, and it’s AMAZING so why should I branch out? Not happening. I come here for the Chai Tea smoothie. Yum, yum, yum– Spicy and icy, baby.

Coffee is pretty good, nice and strong and the café has some nice choices for sandwich’s and even some donuts which is not common in the twin city area(except in a supermarket or convenience store).

It’s nice to see privately owned coffee shops(instead of all the Caribou Coffee and Starbucks) out there. That said, sometimes smaller coffee shops aren’t as efficient as some of the larger franchises. I’ve had a pretty decent experience with my multiple visits to Espresso Donut, but found their service to be slow(it takes several minutes to get a drink). Today, I was late to work due to the slow inefficiencies of their drive-through… it literally took 8 – 9 minutes to get served, and there was a long line of cars behind me. Drinks are good(e.g., mochas), but service is very slow… so take heed and don’t be late for work!

This place is really nice inside. Comfortable chairs, a fireplace, and free wifi. I’m from Texas, and when i have to go visit my Aunt, who doesn’t believe in internet, and i walked to this place. Its really great, the staff is pleasant and helpful(and entertained my use of the word y’all), and the smoothies and coffee were great.
